really hasnt been much new shit here in a while and its nice to hear how someone feels. as for myself i guess that i have been silent for long enough so here it is. a band is a learning experience i have had quite a few and all meant just about everything to me. all of them had a different IMPACT on my life and music. all of them ending without very much warning at all. on may 13, 2000 the day before my 18th birthday the worst possible thing happened. an immediate stop to a great band (not because we could'nt get along ) but because there was no feasable way to proceed on the path that was being taken. bands come and go. you are obligated to not take for granted what you are participating in. not to long ago another good band came to an end. although it is sad and most definitly disappointing it was not catastrophic. i really just want to stop worrying about the band thing and just concentrate on the learning aspect of what music can give.the reason for this is because when you care so much you put yourself in a position to be let down. i myself think entirely too much and build up my expectations to a peak or summit that can't be reached. leading to a self inflicted depression. because i was not able to acheive the dream or visions that i had so vividly pictured. i myself have to decided to set more realistic goals, then looking so far ahead. hopefully the small steps i take now will help me get closer to were i would like to be. and brad please be optimstic, every single person that was in oafa could go and start a band think about that... you may have lost one but could get multiple bands in return. any ways thanx for everthing especially the support...to you and everybody who was there to share it. on a differnt note listen to this...........as i watch....the setting sun....i realize...what i love...and if i....could make it last(forever)...i would die a thousand deaths... the word in enclosed is a back up. peace out im sure ill see you around bye |

house the date of the show is th 28th of october that would be a saturday night: directions---traveling from 66 north you get off on 22 and head towards new alexandria, after you travel on 22 you will pass a gene&bootes candy store it is the third right directly after the store (there will be small signs posted) after you make that right travel about 1/4 a mile down a road called wilson road you will then make a right on to jobe road that is the second right after you made the inital right off of 22 then you will pass a small bridge and it is the second drive way on the right --- like i said there will be signs and if you need further directions email me at the address above or call 836 3482 and no booze or drugs unless of coure you wanna get arested by my dad.... kenny |
