Hey i was wondering if I could have your permission to link your site on a garden site that I am a member of. The site is http://www.gardenhere.com I have been trying to find a list of plants that were known to be safe to cats, but mostly what i come across are plants that arent safe, and say things like there are other plants not on this list that are toxic to pets. I live in a 980 square foot condominium with 5 cats and another human and the joys are innumerable. I am a cataddict. Can you offer any advice on cat food to purchase or avoid on your website or are you limited by corporate sponsorship? I bring this up becuase I have found dramatic differences in the health of my cats versus cats fed on "grocery store" products. Some of the health problems associated with heavily marketed products are life threatening and unknowing pet owners might unwittingly be causing their loved ones pain, discomfort and illness by feeding them this food. The way I see it is, the money saved by buying the cheaper food is kater spent on veterinary bills and room deodorizer. Cat feces and urine are far more offensive in every way on the cheaper diet. Urinary tract blockages (often fatal in cats) can be directly linked to poor cat food and so many people don't know this until it's too late. I was a loyal Iams and Science Diet purchaser until I found out that they were purchased by Purina or Proctor Gamble ( I still don't know which corporation purchased them for sure). I had to switch quite quickly to Max Cat Ultra and my cats have been even healthier. I mixed the new dry food in with the old dry food over about a week. Even so, for a rapid change, their tummies were not noticeably affected! Usually with rapid diet changes a change in bowel movement consistency and odor can be detected but not so for these cats. I have been very pleased with their response to the new food. I am a firm believer in keeping cats indoors. My policy is my children wouldn't be allowed to play in traffic or go outdoors unsupervised (especially at night!) so why would I allow that for my cats? But I've had to learn the hard way after years of adored and beloved and worshipped cats falling victim to the elements. The heartbreak. It's worse when you DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM. Did they suffer? Are they still suffering? Are they somewhere trapped and starving or injured or frightened wondering where you are and why aren't you rescuing them? Mon Dieu, it's heartbreaking. Anyway...I digress.... Thank you and take care. |
