| Comments: | As a young gunner, Mike was my father, my brother and one of my closest friends. Many of the events and times of which Mike writes so eloquently, I had the priviledge of being a part of, but for me they remained just past memories. Memories that I could never hope to express as well as Mike does. Reading his poems is just like looking at a freshly taken photograph, for the crisp clear images they bring to mind. Mike, Thanks for your guidance, your comradeship, and your tales. May those times, emotions and memories never be forgotten. We are also related to the Princes Granowsky of Poland. My Great-Uncle, Prince Dorian Granowsky was a stock-broker in New York for many years. I have long been a supporter of both His Imperial Highness, the Grand Duke Vladimir Kyrillovitch, and attended his funeral, in Sankt Peterburg, in 1992.
