| Questions and Comments: | Hi Rachel, I just lost my beloved "Jerry" on Friday. He was my Blueberry Dwarf Hamster I've had for about two years. I visited a new pet store that had just opened by my house, and I saw for the first time a degu! They are so adorable! I am a HUGE fan of rodents for pets and I was so intrigued by them I went online and found your very helpful webpage.
Like a chincila, After reading all your care, feeding, and general information. I do not think this is the right pet for me, at least at this time in my life. However, I now have a great respect for this loving little breed that I now know so much about! Thank you for your great webpage and such helpful information my friend! | Questions and Comments: | Hi there, your/ this website has been very helpful as we run a rescue that is seeing more and more exotics, degus recenently arrived. I just love them! They have a safe and forever home with the very best of care herebirds, cats, rattys, hammys, doggies. I was so bummed to see in your info that tp rolls, the glue could be toxic, I almost died becuz of the fact we are trying to save these animals, not harm them and we give them, liberally, the tp rolls to chew on. I called the Angel Soft people at their 1800 number on the outside of the 12pk. dbl.roll tissue and ask what the glue is made from and they actuially tell me it is made from starch/flour so it is not toxic. Just thought you may wang to update your records as I was so scard after reading your site that I may have induced toxins to the very animals I am trying to save I was sick to my stomach!@!!
