I have always had a male and female but fell ill after a operation and they had left a foreign object inside me for 19 mo.. I had nearly lost my life and had to give my little ANGELS to a family that I knew would take wonderful care of them. Between losing my business of 20 years and then my health and then to top it off, losing my babies, it has been a long, hard few years. I am now finally starting to recover and needing a companion and of course that to me would be to find a beautiful nice cuddly new baby girl and boy to keep me company. Your cockers are just the most beautiful ones I've ever laid eyes on. Like others have said..Your site DOES bring such JOY to me just looking at them! I'm a proud owner of year old sable cocker a dear friend bought me last yr for my birthday, and she's been THEE best dog, friend, & companion I've ever had..my very first dog was a Maltese when we were just married..and I thought they were cute and fun dogs or "Merry" as you put it..until I got my cocker last yr..Wow I thank my friend every day for getting me her, It pleases him to see me so happy with her..Sadie my cocker never fails to make me laugh & smile day in and day out! I was totally blown away about how smart and nosey they are haha...just love that in them! I also was very pleased to see how cockers love everyone in the family..When my husband walks her everyday our neighbors all know her by name and stop to pet her and play with her and love her just as much as we do! You are right about loving a "merry cocker". Once you've had one you can't live without one. I have been lucky to had raised two. Sonny I had for 11 years and my last, Oliver, only 7 years. I was unlucky in finding Oliver at a puppymill breeder. I knew the minute I stepped into the house the breeder wasn't reputable but I could not leave without one of those puppies. Ollie gave me so much love and we loved him as well. But the next cocker I get will be one bred for the love of the breed and not for profit only. I have a beautiful all black cocker spaniel named Cheyenne. She is about five years old now. I got her from a rescue home three years ago. She had several health issues at the time, but will excellent care and lots of love, she sailed right past them to become my most cherished pet. Last Monday, I learned that Cheyenne has lymphoma. My heart is broken, as you can imagine. Even just writing this brings tears to my eyes. People have different feelings about how to move forward when something like this happens. Of course, she is getting the best care possible and I will love her with all of my heart to the very end. Cheyenne has always loved being around people and other animals. I feel it would make her happy to have a brother or sister to take care of Mom when she no longer can. If you have any puppies available, I promise they will have the very best life can give. My friends say that they would love to be one of my pets. Additionally, my Mom who is 92, lives with me and she is beside herself with grief over Cheyenne's illness. I haven't been able to really grieve the loss of my precious Muffin of 16 years and it's been 4 months since she's been gone.. Thank you for your beautiful,loving,caring website. I'm not sure I will be getting another dog but have felt all along if I do I want another cocker.. Muffin was red, they said she was a "field cocker" and I did have papers but it didn't matter because she was the most incredibly loving cuddley dog ever... Never barked and greeted everyone with her sweet face and friendly nature... During our bible studies in our home she had to be on someones lap and managed to make it difficult during prayer time to hear due to her snoring...seriously...She was the runt of the litter so never was over 20lbs or so... I would love another cocker her size...when I do get one... Is that a possiblity or are most cockers larger.. We've had two dogs each living 15/16 years... I can't imagine living the rest of my life without one.... they are such a wonderful example of God's unconditional love... I cared for and lost my brother to cancer just a month before Muffin died.... My hubby isn't to sure he wants another dog....I would....just don't know the timing...would love a solid color... brown or black...or even red...just can't resist the sweet face with big brown eyes...Anyway.. thanks for listening...what a great family you have.... lots of kids and puppies too.... My bride of 45 years and I have lost many beautiful dogs over the years, with the last three being cockers, as well as a wonderful son of 13 years. I can honestly tell you that that aching and emptiness of loss within you for a dog that owned your heart is no less intense than that of your own child. Both of them are total innocence and unquestioning loyalty. Both look at you as though you could move mountains for them, and both rely on you to protect and hold them close to you, but in the end, our love can't protect them from the inevitable and we can only try to go on with our lives in the knowledge that everything in life has a price and, unfortunately, the price of love is sorrow. Irregardless of the teaching learned theology, my believe is that dogs have a soul and they await us to once again be at our side to enjoy the sunshine, the companionship and the MUTUAL love and trust. The proof of this is that God could not possibly create a creature of such magnificence, devotion and undying faithfulness without giving him the requirement needed for eternal love.

This Summer our Grandson (2yrs) opened our front door without our knowing it, and Cloe, our precious peach and white Cocker Spaniel went on a snooping binge. We live in the S.E. Oklahoma mountainous region, if fact our home is on Cavanal, the Worlds Highest Hill. Needless to say, she got lost in the dense Summer foilage, and has never been found. She was the best, most precious, loyal dog I have ever had, and I think of her every day. Some day I will try to replace her, but, she is such a hard act to follow. I think your puppies would be a good place to start the search, though. We are Christians as well, and screened the buyers of Cloe's puppies, much like you do. | Comments: | Hi, just wanted to drop you a line as I read you hear from folks who have been owned by cockers and have lost them. I find myself in that predicament right now. In the past four months I have lost my second pair of cockers, one in Sept and one the day after Christmas. My heart is still aching for them, but I know what will heal my heart. I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know I may be contacting you in the future. My husband thinks we should switch breeds, but honestly I'm having difficulty seeing myself with any other breed. I have a couple of questions, my biggest concern is health. My black and tan boy had his eyes enucleated at an early age due to PRA. My first boy, black, struggled since the age of 9 with osteosarcoma and then a second cancer, seizures, and then finally a second form of cancer. They both lived very long lives, 13 both. They both were AKC, came from champion lines, actually my black and tan boy came from New York. I guess my hope is to get a "healthy" pup. I'm not 100% sure which are the congenital defects that I should look out for in this breed. Everyone tells me to change breeds, cockers are too "bred" and they carry too many inheritable diseases. So at this point I'm just getting information. I know you offer a health guarantee, but I think I saw where you did DNA screening. Is this correct?
I'm really sorry to make this so long. I probably should just end this by saying all the pics are beautiful, and I haven't seen a cocker yet that doesn't steal your heart, no problem with getting attached. Thank you for taking the time to listen, it came out rather jumbled I'm afraid. I'll keep your website available and maybe will contact you in the near future. I had planned to get another when I rtetired in 2007, but my daughter feel in love with this little buff and white male cocker in a petshop in GA. She bought him and although I never wanted a male, he won me over. On Friday, Mayday was out back with me when some people were here to see my home and in the comotion he came up missing. We looked for a long while for him and I started up the road to get the car and go door to door, when I found him broken in the ditch from a vehicle that hadn't bothered to even stop. I'm really looking for a dog with a great family- personality, especially with a child (we have a 5 year old daughter). Also one that is small to medium in size and gets along well with a 3 year old cat (we've had Zowey since she was 3 weeks old).

We just lost our 13 year old Honey, she survived lupus and had COPD lung disease when she died. She was the greatest pet ever, we are missing her very much, my husband cannot even speak about Honey, but someday we will be ready and hope to be fortunate enough to make a High Calling Cocker one of our own.

We know in our hearts that our girl "Jasmine" would be so happy for her parents. Getting such a wonderful baby "Natalie" for them is a new start to help with this grieving.
You have such a wonderful site, it is so inspirational and musically perfect. You can tell the love you have for every puppy not only our new grandbaby. We will become as attached to her as we were to "Jasmine", she loved her papa so much and we will surely make the same bond with "Natalie". We will have the opportunity of spoiling her as much. We are so impressed with the gorgeous Cockers that you have and your web page is just beautiful. We are so pleased that Kim and Mike are purchasing their puppy from such a lovely place. As you may know they just lost their "baby" Jasmine a week ago. They are heartbroken. We encouraged them to purchase another puppy as soon as they could. | Comments: | At the end of February, we lost our baby boy Doogie. He was close to 10 years old. He developed a rare untreatable cancer. We miss him dearly. Your absoulutely right, they are the most loveable, friendly, and prescious dogs you can have. Your website brang back a lot of great memories. Doogie was Buff, never reached over 30lbs. He loved going for rides, going to see Grandma, and especially Letchworth State Park which we live right down the road from. He is sadly missed everyday but he had the best life and he was always happy. The day he went to heaven, he was happy, giving us kisses and so excited to go for a ride. He had his favorite food for breakfast (Prime Rib and Lo Mein).
When we found out he sick, he could have whatever he wanted.I know he misses us and he's in a good place. We are looking to get another loving cocker spaniel for a pet soon. I will be logging on to your website again soon. Regina |

| Comments: | Cherie got infomation about your web site at work. A great website. My wife and I had Calie (our cat) for 20 years and Willie (our cocker) for 14 years. We were forced to consider there quality of life last year. Willie had heart problems, arthritis and liver problems. Calie was very old and went from 14 lbs to 6lbs. She got around, but that was about all. They were both on an obvious path and we decided that it was not fair of us to keep them alive. It was a very sad day last year ,but a necessary one. We wanted to give ourselves time to honor their lives before searching for another family member. We are interested in a blond or solid black male cocker. | Comments: | Dear Sue, It has been almost a year since our beloved "Sissy" passed away. She was only six and became suddenly very ill with acute anemia~ we tried every means to save her life even a transfusion. It has been so sad without her, and I am still crying and missing her so much. When I found your website, I was so touched by the message "just a dog" Sissy was definitely my very best friend and was a beautiful blonde cocker spaniel. It is a wonderful blessing you have so much love in your heart for the Lord as well as the doggies. We live in south central Nebraska (quite a distance from New York) but I do know our Lord performs miracles and if HE wants us to have another cocker spaniel~ it will definitely work out. There are very few cockers for sale in our area. I have found that out since I've been looking lately. My husband and I live in the country and are getting close to retirement age. We have four adult children and five precious grandchildren. I do part time bookkeeping and spend time with the grandbabies, and my husband is a registered nurse in Pediatrics at the hospital in Grand Island, Nebraska. As with many of your other readers, our family lost our beloved cocker spaniel Tobi on Valentine's Day of this year, 2006, due to eye disease. Tobi was 12-1/2 years old.
