Most customers I've met don't know diddly-squat about their fire alarms and don't think they'll ever need it. hey i have the same exact system of Simplex in my HS the one with the whooping lol and i herd in the video they put it on audiable silence well ALL the time when we go back inside the strobe are always on for another 3 mins and also a few times during the year they let the alarms run for about 10mins after we get back it...idk why tho lol.
