| Comments: | Hi there, I have a beautiful 11 year old cross Maine Coon and Ragdoll (I think!) with large Green Eyes (not blue like a rag doll) and a magnificent grey MOUSTACHE...His name is SASHMO. His markings are gorgeous all over. He is the most beautiful cat I have ever seen or known with the personality to match and has been an exceptional hunter over the years while at the same time displaying incredible affection and loyalty....I will be very sad to lose him in a few years......I will miss the way he DRINKS WITH HIS PAW regularly, and sits by the bath tub when I'm soaking! Does that sound very 'maine coonish' to you?? If he does have rag doll in him (he can turn his body around almost in a contortion too - clever boy) he sure doesn't have their BLUE EYE TRAIT! He has a bushy raccoon-like tail to match.

We live in Hawaii and would love to have a male blue silver tabby kitten. Our maine coon male brown tabby, Rocky, a 16 year old is now suffering from chronic kidney failure. He's doing very well with his weekly treatments and the vet says the outlook is positive. We pray that he'll be with us for many more years. We brought him to Hawaii when we moved from New York. | Comments: | Hi had a great time looking at all your beautiful cat pictures. I own a Male Maine Coon Cat called Sebastian. I rescued him from quarintine at the international airport in Brisbane 9 years ago, he was four then. We have been very happy togeather. I have taught Sebastian to walk on a lead to the park and he is very smart, he can say hello, mumma and grandma and no very well. He is solid white with pink paws nose and ears he has not one blemish on his coat, he has cinnimon (orange ) eyes. I have not seen one quite like him anywhere. I think that he was orriginaly flown over to Australia to breed but something didnt work out. I was able to get him released under the special circumstance that he was desexed which he is. Anyway I live in Nambour so if you ever wanted to meet Sebastian then you can.

Just letting you know of our exciting weekend at the 2007 ACF 35th National Cat Show in Hobart. Rascal Fire Storm (7 1/2 months) won Best Maine Coon Kitten in both rings and went on to reserve in Group1 in 1 ring and 3rd in the other from 40 kittens. Rascal Destiny's Child won 3rd best Maine Coon and 10th in Group1 in one ring from 21 other neuters. and Janelle's Rascal Garfield won 1st Maine Coon neuter and went on to win reserve neuter in Group1 in the other ring. I love this site, and often call in to see how the 'babies' are growing - they are gorgeous and as they grow keep on looking better. Early last year when I had 'lost' one of my good hunting cats(17yo) and was looking for a replacement, I found my ideal with the Maine Coon. Luckily I caught up with Roger who patiently with many phone calls about enclosures,feeding,grooming,nail cutting, even to litter, transformed me to an indoor cat owner.I wanted my cat to breath fresh air and be able to stretch out and run, 11mtsx2mts of our verandah was enclosed as an outdoor run for less than $100. We were happy. Then in May my precious little black smoke boy 'Fonzie' made the journey from QLD to Tassie-12hrs travel. He is well suited to his name, he strolls around like Mr cool, always in the right place at the right time usually within a metre from my side he is very faithful always ready for a smooch,pat,play or food!,charming and endearing. My only regret-I did not take up the offer to get 2 kittens. I had loved the propper 'out of the wild look tabby coons', and this year I could not resist one little face, and was lucky enough to get my own most beautiful tabby coon 'Dessy',she is also very loyal, at my side, or in front preempting my next move to be there first, she is very playful,full of mischief and love.I could not be happier with her what ever her colour be. When I read other peoples comments- I know what they mean. No amount of pictures, talking, explanation etc, can ever prepare any one for the wonderful nature and temperament of the kitten that awaits them, and I think there lies the true essence of the beautiful big, Rascal bred cats. "To pat a Maine Coon is to feel it with your heart" |

| Comments: | I researched the "coonies" and then went too australian web sites.I emailed 3 and only one replied and that was Helen.We live a good 15 hours drive away ,so i went on helen,s decriptions and photo,s.Our boy that has been flown too us and has lived with us is the most precious cat i have ever known,,he is truley worth everything Helen told me and more.!!!(and i have known alot of cats,when i was little we had 36,,being on a farm).
"nuts" is out of gatsby and saboo,and has two pics on helens site.a beautiful black smoke..I adore "my witches cat" and even my tough hubby is very soft with him."nuts' has the most precious ,soft nature,extremely playful(much too our burmese disgust) ,yet ever so loving and certainly a lap cat.he needs too know where we are at all times.thankyou Helen and Rodger |

he is healthy and loving and very special,my next cat will be a coonie for sure. the coonies are something else,i have had many cats since i was a child,but their mannerisims are so different. i am very biased,,for sure,,i live about 1500kms from helen so i trusted her word...and my baby that came too me is my love ofmy life thankyou helen.... love ali |

He is such a cherub/character, and the children adore him. | Comments: | Hi Helen thought it was about time i jumped on the ban wagon and signed youre book!!!We own two of helens lovely coonies.a blue tabby called Sabre and a white called Jkobi.we love them very much infact they rule our lives but thats the way we like it!!Helen is so helpful when you are looking into getting one of her cats i recommend everyone should contact them if you want a coonie.you wont find a cat of better temprement and looks.not to mention the new friends i have made in Helen and Roger!!look forward to adding toour coonie house hold in the future
