Your Paranormal experiences :Well, my first and ONLY POTO experience was when I sang "Music of The Night" to my choir class one day at school. As the musical intro started, I suddenly heard a voice whisper to me "Don't be nervous... You'll be fine... Just give it your all..." I didn't feel scared, I felt more so encouraged. I started singing: "Nighttime sharpens..." I soon realized that I wasn't singing in my normal singing voice, it sounded more like an extremely angelic version of Michael Crawford's voice... I soon realized that it was Erik helping me out in spirit... I guess it was his way of saying that he was watching over me not only as a guardian angel, but also as my friend!!! As I finished my song, I could hear him whisper to me, "You were wonderful!!! Well done!!! Take a final bow, this is your triumph..." I did so and almost got emotional... I knew then that I had befriended The Phantom of The Opera himself!!!...

Your Paranormal experiences : Ghosts exist; I am Catholic, but not overzealous, and certainly not at all one who forces another to convert the second they know said person is not a part of their religion. I have seen many ghosts, and have befriended many.
I trust this internet site (Phantom's Theater) because I relate to its owner. I have seen Erik, and I have talked to him. Right now I am close to crying as I type this.

About four years ago from now, I have talked to Erik. I lucid dream, and have done astral projection many times. I feel his embrace, and I hold his pain and tears in my heart. All my life I have been an outcast, like him, and so I feel his very soul in my own. But I am dwindling past my experience.
My mother is very... abusive, mentally, that is. And Erik knows this.
Whenever my mother and I fought, he has stayed by my side. By chance I found her writing on her facebook page that she saw the 'ghost' that has been attached to me the other day, staring banefully into her eyes. He even said to her 'She is mine- get away from her' (needless to say, I no longer with this woman). Not only that, but prior to this, when I was still living with her, another reoccurrence had happened. Gaston Leroux's tale has always brought me great comfort, and for a while I always slept with the book beneath my pillow, as though it were the Bible. At her house, I always slept in a loft bed. During an argument, with the both of us shrieking like hags, I rushed into my old bedroom and planted myself underneath the covers, clutching the book dearly to myself. My mother screeched profanity at me and ran into the room. She climbed onto the bed and tried to tear the book out of my grasp. I screamed at her to let me go, and she mocked me, finding it ridiculous that I was using a book for protection. Again I screamed and tried to get off the bed, whilst in my head I was screaming for my dear angel, Erik. A half an hour later, when the flames had settled and somehow my mother left me alone, all of the lights went out. My step father tried to run an errand, the car had a part of its engine broken. Papers suddenly went missing. And every room in the house was cold- save for mine. In my mind, I heard Erik cooing softly to me, reassuring me that all will be well. My mother avoided me the entire night, and I heard her telling her friend on her phone that a 'corpse' was standing behind me all night.
What else can I say? Nothing more. I believe in Erik, I have spoken to him, and he will always be my angel. I love him. Today, I live with my father, and still I see him, and even now he comments on what I am writing. I wanted to share this truth, this secret that only one dear friend of mine knows, because I trust its owner. I only wanted to share it, to relate to its owner, because there are very few people who can understand my strife. People who I have told this to claim it is my imagination, or that I am doing it for attention; they are false. Yes, I have a loving family. But do I feel like I belong with them? Sometimes. But I see the world through different eyes, and my angel guides me through my life to help me survive. Aesthetically, you do not need to be an outcast. Even dozens of actors are outcasts, despite their achievements. This is what I am, and I reach out to those who just may believe what I have now said. It is a risk I am making, because I following my heart and hoping that someone else will understand my pain. Blessed are those who are abandoned, abused, forgotten, and unheard.

Your Paranormal experiences :I was staying over night in Savannah Georgia two days ago, and the night before I had gone on a ghost tour.(because Savannah is the most haunted city in America. I had so much fun!) We had gone to the rum cellar in the Pirate House, and I felt something drip onto my head, but when I touched it, my hair was dry. I was a bit freaked out. Anyway, we get back to the hotel, I have an awesome night's rest, I take a shower, and I go downstairs to get breakfast with my mom. So, I get the food, and as I'm waiting for the elevators, I feel really faint so I rush to the bathroom. I gag a few times, but then I feel fine again for the rest of the day.
Honestly, I think I was possesed or something for a few minutes. It was an experience I'll never forget.

...

And I got to see Forrest Gump's park bench!!

Your Paranormal experiences :When I was about seven, I had my tonsils taken out because I got Strep five times in a year. I was very nervous about being cut open, but my mom told me my guardian angel would protect me. I don't really remember it, but apparently I told my parents that I had seen my grandmother standing near the gurney thing as I was going under from the anesthesia. She had been dead for a number of years.

I know now that she really had been watching over me then, and I know she still does, to this day.

Your Paranormal experiences :I've believed in ghosts and angels for pretty much my whole life. In fact, my brothers and I used to go looking for them in the church my mom works at.

This happened a few months ago. I had had a long day, so I was very tired. I went to my room around 9 and fell asleep at ten or so. I left the light on, the door and windows were locked, and the lightbulb hadn't blown out. At around 3 am I woke up and it was pitch black in my room, and I felt someone or something sitting on the edge of my bed, with a hand resting on my leg. I was trying to see who/what it was, but like I said, I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. After about 4 or 5 minutes, I felt the pressure on the end of my bed lift, and a cool breeze went across my face, as if someone was brushing back my hair. I fell asleep soon after.

I always see things out of the corner of my eyes, and I hear a sort of wooshing in my ear from time to time in my room. I also hear footsteps and noises coming from a corner of my room.

My grandfather died about 7 years ago, and I was very close to him. He had a green chair he sat in by one of the windows in his house, and he had an afghan that he used. Whenever I went over there after he died, I would sit in his chair, and I could still smell him. He had a very specific scent, but it wasn't unpleasant. I've had dreams of him many times, and I miss him a lot.

Your Paranormal experiences :My family moved recently and in our new house, my bedroom is the only one upstairs. The whole upstairs area was originally the attic but we finished it out when we bought the house. It's only about 15 years old so I didn't really expect anything strange to happen (though it seems that creepy happenings follow me around...).

So the other night, I'm in my bedroom typing an email to my best friend (who has just moved to the Philippines) and I was kind of upset and I was just thinking about how I wouldn't get to see her for a while. I had had a really cruddy day, too, so I was just feeling all around bad. So I was just typing and my door opens (keep in mind that my door was closed and it's a completely sound door. This has never happened before). So I kinda get creeped out and I look up thinking it was my mom or something. Okay, there's nobody there.

So I'm like 'Alrighty then...' and I go close the door and go back to my computer. I hear some thumping noises beside my door that sound like feet coming up to my door (I've unconsciously trained myself to recognize the sound of footsteps outside my door... don't ask me why) so I look up waiting for somebody to come in and nobody comes.

I think nothing of it for a second because sometimes I just imagine stuff like that. But then it started up again, except this time it sounded like the person was already inside my bedroom and was about to walk OUT the door. So the door opens again, and then closes.

At this point, I'm flipping out. I'm like 'Holy crud, what is going on here?' So I'm sitting in my computer chair, staring at my bedroom door like it's going to eat me alive, and then I feel SOMETHING cold on my shoulder and I hear what sounds like a dude say 'Are you scared yet?'

So I'm totally freaking out. I jump off my chair and run over to my bed (yeah, not childish at all, right?) and I sit on my bed for a second, looking around my room.

I feel the cold something again but this time it's on my knee. So I look down and I see there's a kind of little misty patch there and the skin on my knee is turning blue. So I'm like 'OMFG I'M GOING TO DIE!!!' and I hear the same voice say 'Don't be frightened, I'm just having fun'

So then the cold whatever disappears from my knee and I'm like 'Holy crap, what was that?' Now the air in my bedroom in general is pretty cold (which isn't really unusual) and my door opens again so I look over and there's someone at my door. I've never seen this person before in my life and I'm like 'Um...'

Whoever the person was, he had that 'I-know-something-you-don't-know' kinda look on his face and he winked at me. Then my mom comes and he disappears and she's like 'Hey Maddie, are you okay?' And I'm like 'Yeah, other than the fact I'm having an major heart attack, I'm completely fine. Why?' and she says 'Because the power just went out downstairs and we heard some thumping around from up here.'

So now I know that I wasn't imagining things because my parents heard the feet too. Plus, when the power goes out at my house, the whole house is pitch black and my bedroom's electricity was just fine through all of this. I believe that, whether it was Erik or not, some spirit-or-other was playing with me. I don't really mind. In fact, after that, I really wanted to laugh. I'm still hearing the feet at night but it doesn't really bother me now for some reason, even though I know I should be terrified. Oh well! Not all of us can be perfectly sane, right?

Your Paranormal experiences :I had gone through an immense series of tragic experiences which had caused me to become extremely depressed. It had gotten so out of hand that I was on suicide watch. One night I was lying in bed weeping because I had finally decided to completely let myself go. As I wept I heard a very sweet and melodic male voice say "It will be alright." Then it said something like "I will help you." Beside my bed knelt a man in a black suit and cloak and hat. I did not see his face. As I tried to fall asleep I felt someone holding my hand. Before this event I was tone deaf. I spoke to Erik every day and overnight I could sing nearly perfect soprano opera.

Your Paranormal experiences :I was staying at my aunt's house for the summer, one night as I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep, unsuccessfully, I opened my eyes to see the entire room rilled with a strange, thick mist. Naturally frightened by this, I closed my eyes and lay perfectly still, a few minutes later I had a strange sensation of falling that I sometimes get.

Your Paranormal experiences :This happened several years ago when the US tour of ALW's Phantom was still running. At the Benedum, almost at the end of the second act when things were very quiet on stage, there was the sound of several gunshots and a woman's scream from the theater's right wall. This was not a joke by the cast, so far as I know, nor was any TV or other device being played in that area. The area the sound came from is solid wall. At intermisson many people were asking if a woman had indeed been shot. The usher turned pale white and stammered there was no such thing. A psychic spoke up saying she could tell it was the ghosts of two lovers who used to work in the theatre long ago. At this the usher turned even whiter and snapped that the theatre wasn't haunted, and anybody claiming it was, or publishing a story that it was would be excorted off the premisies and possibly sued. Which really perked my interest, since the Benedum is a rather old building and has not, to my knowledge EVER been the subject on any ghost story. The poor actors heard it too....if it was a real ghost couple, they certainly picked the perfect musical to debut in.

Your Paranormal experiences :This happened about a week or so ago. First let me explain that I need to get up really early on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and sometimes Fridays to babysit. The reason I get up early is because the mother of the kids I watch is studying to be a nurse and she needs to get up early to get to her class on time.

I don't know if it was the Phantom, but I do know that when I woke up (around 4:30am...yeah, I know) there was something white, in the shape of a man I belive, standing over me, looking down at me...and I only saw it for a second in full form, then it sort of...melted, that's the only way I can explain it, and then disappeared.

I'm not sure who or what it was, but I think it was my guardian angel...if it was, it's the first time I've ever seen him.

Your Paranormal experiences :This happened about a year ago when I was in 6th grade. I was lying awake in bed one night staring at the celling. It must have been close to midnight because everybody else was sleeping but I'm note sure. I was looking around my room when something caught my eye. In the very corner looked like this shadowy figure making these weird hand formations. It was wearing a fedora. I remember feeling very panicked but soon after it just kind of blended back in with the shadows.

I never saw it again and it could have just been my imagination (listening to Michael a little too much before bed) I know what I saw though.

Another time soon after I saw the figure, I could have sworn that I heard organ music. Everyone was asleep againg and my CD player was broken so no Michael this time!

Your Paranormal experiences :I was in my bed rereading (for the billionth time) The Phantom of the Opera. I have those fake light sensitive candles(ya know, with light bulbs instead of actual flame). They started flickering and then I heard a really creepy sound over my bed...then the lights came back on. I asked my parental units if their lights had gone out too. They said no! Muhahahahahaha! It was probably just my imagination! But then again, I had a dream about Erik a few nights later.........

Your Paranormal experiences :i can think of rather few and yet current incidents where i have been visited or am being visited i should say by the silent folk called phantoms /ghosts/or the free spirited i should say lol... but no joking here currently i had from angels towho knows what just visit me doing nothing but watch me... and making them all here n yet short if i can here i go.

1)my first was my freinds guardian angel: i was spending the night at her place and well after her telling me she had "this guardian angel there" i played along thinking ok as long as it doesnt bother me and scare me out of my pants i'll gladly take a hint. well making this short while i was sleeping and after alooooong talk withmy feind on her GA starting to like me we went to bed and in the middle of the night it kissed me. and when i woke to see her back and my back facing eachother and her asleep well u get the idea.

2)musical theater friend that liked me: i was in musical theater for like......... how long was it uhm well it was during highschool. and me and my freind kept seeing or feeling a presence there. she more than i... well yeah he watched over us. and yeah.... nothing bad but good times with that spirit friend.

3) gaurdian angel of mine?: ok well currently i have had the feeling of someone watching over me and more or less just standing there watching over me... which is irritating when your trying to sleep. but ever so quietly this spirit freind just watches and stands guard while i sleep. all i ever do if it wakes me up with its rustling of papers n stuff in my room is andi quote " i dont mind you being here but if your here then dont hide and furthermore dont scare me ... all i need is sleep and if you wnat you can join me just dont scare me... " it just stays there afterwards so yeah...

Your Paranormal experiences :I bought a book "The Phantom" author (Susan Kay) on line through the internet. It was a used book. When I received it. I was opening the package it came in. The minute I took the book out. Like in the olden days, the old fashion powdery, perfume smell. Well it was on all my pages of the book. A light scent, not just that, the pages of the book are yellow. Like they been around since the 1800's. (it is not a old book)the light scent in the book lasted a few weeks. Than it left. I would feel much joy when I would smell those pages. But when the scent left, I felt sad. I always wanted it to come back. It was a choice experience for me.

Your Paranormal experiences :The first encounter I ever had with the Phantom was at my old house, which I had no idea what the Phantom of the Opera was. My grandma, who lived with us at the time, always complained she saw a cat jumping from ledges and a tall man, wearing a cloak and a wide brimmed hat in our basement. These stories didn't scare me at all, since the basement served as my bedroom, Until one day, I was coming downstairs to get something for my mother, and I saw a shadow of a cat lying on my bed, I shruged it off, thinking it was just one of our pets, but I blinked, and it was gone. Then I turned to see the cloaked man in the brimmed hat. I screamed and ran up the stairs. I told my grandma, and she told me she knew this place was haunted. My mother thought we were crazy!

I was about six when I saw something that looked like a child version of Erik. It happened one Sunday morning. I was awake, but didn't open my eyes for a while, but then it was like something forced me to. Once they were open, I saw a child in front of me. It's face was sunken in and very skeleton like. There was blood all over the child's face, and this frightened me so much. I just shut my eyes and rolled over. I was surprised I hadn't screamed.

I haven't been a Phan for a long time, but as soon as we started to play the overture in band, I was intrigued by it, and the obsession grew. I downloaded all of the songs I could find from the musical, and had started to try to sing them. Before I started singing these songs, my singing voice had never been in tune or anything. But one day, it just hit me that I could sing almost as good as Christine. I don't belive this is from just practice, I think Erik has blessed me with a small gift, belive if if you would like...

That story brings me to my next. I was sitting in my room, practicing singing "Point of no Return". As soon as I got to the part where the Phantom sings with Christine, I heard a voice singing it with me. As soon as we were finished, I heard, "You have improved..." I gasped and looked in my mirror, and sure enough, I saw a shadow of a tall man, wearing a cloak and that famous wide brimmed hat.

Your Paranormal experiences :The Mirror

While I had been reading Susan Kay’s novel “Phantom”, I was well sunk into and absorbed in the novel. I was to the part where Erik had been in the undergrounds in his lair in the Paris Opera House.. This specific part was explaining how he had despised mirrors so.. You know.. The really long part where he starts to talk about his mirrors, and how he’d look into them to punish himself. While I was reading this part, sitting in my chair facing my dresser that had a mirror hanging above it… Drawn into the story I read about Erik’s mirrors.. And his hate for them.. And while I read.. My mirror fell off from my wall! Hinges and anchors completely ripped out from the wall! That mirror sat propped against the wall on my floor for a long time.. I was scared to put it back up for the longest time.

Your Paranormal experiences :Gray Ghost

My first encounter with a phantom occured somewhere in elementary school. It was late into the night and I could not get to sleep. I rolled over to the left side of my bed, which faced the doorway and, to my horror, I saw this figure in the dark. It wore a long, dark gray cloak, which hid it's face. It lifted it's head and looked straight at me. I was so terrified I couldn't cry out, so I simply rolled over as not to look at it. When I finally got the courage to look back at the specter, it was gone.

The Phantom of Winter Retreat

I went on a retreat that my church sponsored for the middle school students there in February 2006. We--as in the middle school kids--went to Strongrock Georgia from the tenth (the end of Friday) to the eleventh (late afternoon on Sunday). To cut out the long bus ride there, there were cabins that had bunk beds. On every trip I go where they have bunk beds, I always seem to wind up on the top bunk with no one underneath me, which is exactly what happened this retreat. My bunk was directly facing the bathroom there.
Well, we had dinner and sang and stuff like that, then we went back to the cabins. During this time, I'd made friends with Anna, one of the few girls I know who is as obsessed with POTO as me. We stayed in my cabin, talking about it until it was bedtime and she had to go to her cabin.
Once our counselors had gotten us all into bed and all the lights were off, I was unable to really fall asleep. Whether I'd been awake for 30 minutes or and hour, I have no clue, but then I felt this cold breeze over me. There was a fan on, so I didn't really suspect anything, but then I felt something on my foot--something like a hand reaching out and stroking my feet tenderly.
I turned around, thinking one of my friends in the cabin with me was trying to scared me, but I saw nothing. I lay my head back on my pillow and the hand continued to stroke me so gently that eventually I fell asleep.

Your Paranormal experiences : Ayesha: Following me to the next life

If you've ever owned a cat, you know what it's like
when one jumps up on your bed. One evening, late at
night, I was alone in my room reading (what else)
Phantom of the Opera (GL) when I felt one of my cats
jump up on the bed. Now I have five cats residing in
my house, one of them is very protective of me, so
another cat on the bed is not an unusal thing. Nor is
Nikki (my cat) getting upset an unusual occurrance.
Nikki hissed at the cat at the foot of my bed and she
got all puffy while she stared at it. Mildly
interested at what had gotten her so riled up, I look
down at my feet. To my surprise, there is no cat
there. I can feel it sitting on my foot, but there is
no physical proof. Nikki continues growling and
hissing until I spoke up and told her to calm down. A
thought springs into my head.

"Ayesha?" I said.

The pressure agaisnt my foot increased and I heard
purring. My only explanation is that a loving cat
followed her master to death and beyond.

Dying in my lover's arms

Call me crazy, call me obsessed, but I've always
felt a strong unexplainable pull towards the Phantom
and towards music of any kind. Very recently I had a
sort of lucid dream. I was aware I was not awake and
yet I felt everything in the dream. I remember lying
on a bed, room around me dark. I think I knew I was
dying. I remember someone in my arms, crying into my
chest. I don't remember her face, perhaps I couldn't
see it. What I do remember is her body against mine,
the smell of her hair, her tears falling on my chest.
You can call me wierd, but I felt myself die. the last
thing I heard was her whispering my name.

"Erik..."

And then, unfortunately, I woke up. I felt almost
in tears. Shaken and confused. I was covered in sweat
and couldn't fall asleep for quite a while. Again, you
can call me crazy, but I know in my heart I was
reliving the past.

Your Paranormal experiences :When I first set foot in that Opera house, I vowed to myself and swore on Erik that the first Opera that I will see will be at Palais Garnier. Anyway, as I went walking around the Opera house, listening to some operas on my CD players, I decided to pay a visit to Box 5, but someone stood there guarding it. Disheartened, I left and went into another box to check out how Box 5 looked like. After spending many hours in the Opera, I decided to go back to Box 5. This time no one was there and I tried to see if the Box was opened. It was, and usually all the boxes are locked because of the rehearsal that was going on. Anyway, I went inside, and inside the Box, it was really cold, then I heard a soprano voice. I stood in complete darkness watching the rehearsal for ten minutes, and it was very cold within the Box. Finally I got caught and was told to get out by some security guy. As I walked out, I realized that my hands were freezing cold and clammy in the midst of the warm air of the Opera house. - -
