Hi Scott (and Amy and Skye too)
Wow what a little cutie your daughter is Scott, I cant believe your a DAD!!!! OMG!!! Not sure if you will remember me from your dark and dreary home of Scotland, waaaayy back in the years of KDC and Arran festivals! I got nosy and though Id see how people from my past were getting on and I found you!
You have done mega well for yourself CONGRATS!!! I cant believe you now call SF home, lucky man!
I just wanted to leave you a little message in the only place I could find, I tried emailing you at the observatory before I discovered you had eon on to bigger and better things.
Wow again and congrats again, you always were destined for great things though, that brain of yours was wasted here!
Drop me a wee note sometime to say hi and so we can catch up a bit. I have 3 kids myself now and got married in 2002 so we have more in common now than we ever did!!!

My sincerest congratulations on the kid. I'm pleased to hear everything went well. You have been blessed with the opportunity to be great parents, which I'm sure you will be.
One helpful baby hint, babies need food at least ONCE per day.
Also, in the event of a kung-fu fight, babies are not trained to take on either armed or unarmed opponents. At best they could be considered white-belts if they are read to every night. It is suggested to leave them out of the fray if you absolutely must engage a group of ninjas / samurai.
Also, email me the snail-mail address so that I may send you an appropriate baby gift (water bong, switch blade, or hand made blanket)

Well we are really feeling all your love and we so appreciate that! Skye is really something. As Scott put it, she is exceeding expectations everywhere she goes. Even when she was only 4 months old in-utero, she was described by the ultrasound technician as "feisty" and now that she is here, we know that description really fits her personality. She has an incredible thirst for life and the challenge for Scott and I will be to try and keep up with her. Here was my horoscope (from realastrology.com) the week Skye was born:
***
GEMINI (May 21-June 20): As I meditated about what would be the
perfect holiday gift for you, I kept coming back to the fantasy of a
thousand doughnuts. Nothing pleased me more than the mental image of
your living room floor covered with boxes of Bavarian cream, chocolate
frosted, jelly-filled, glazed, and apple crumb doughnuts. Here's the
astrological explanation for my intuition: I think fate plans to blow your
mind with sweet extravagance in 2005. Receiving a thousand doughnuts
would be a metaphorical rehearsal.
***
Exactly!!! Well Scott is probably going to complain bitterly that I related my horoscope on our daughter's website, as you may know he thinks astrology is C-RAP!!! But he did point out that the night Skye was born, there was a Geminid meteor shower, so one could say that stars were falling from Gemini. We are pleased to have caught one of the most magical ones =)

To see her is to love her,and love but her forever. For nature made her what she is and never made anither.

What a lucky baby to have parents like yours. To live in a home with lots of belly laughs and high spirits-to be SO wanted.
What a surprise to have hair! Your mom had these irresistible ringlets-may you never blow them out if you have the same.
Keep the music playing at all times. Model to her what you want from her and you will always be right. Be kind to yourself when you don't or can't do what you think is best. . .
Love ya,
Nina
