My friend's name is NORA SAVONA. She is mentioned in the Richard Fidler; Case File - Mouthing Off page, as a cast member of the act named "GAY LIFE" It is uncanny that the search results revealed a theatrical place with humour and a 'gay' title, as those three elements tell me that this NORA SAVONA is the friend I am looking for. | Comments: | oh, i'll never get over how good this site is. it's the sole reason for my lack of motivation in creating a comedy site - why bother when tangawarra's around? [that and my laziness, but anyhow]
if you want help with updates, i can type up some of the articles in Beat for you from their comedy festival liftout. there was also a short interview with wil in good weekend. anyway, see you all at the comfest! btw, coolest experience of my life - won tix from Beat to Adam Hills. he was great, esp for opening night, but my friend and i noticed a familiar laugh. hmm, sound like.. wil. could it be? turned to see him in all his gorgeous glory. eep! later, adam was just going through the audience and Nic and I shouted "go you big red fire engine" and he joked about us a bit and Nic yelled "i like cheese" and then i yelled "i like Wil!" and pointed to him. adam asked us if we wanted to sit next to him. we did. i feel kinda bad because obviously wil wanted to preserve his anonmity and just have a nice night out, but still fucking cool. we didn't touch him TOO much. |

The new look's not bad, but you missed a Tripod CD- the 'regular' Open Slather- the one you have is the special Xmas edition. The normal one has a blue cover, with badly drawn almost stick figures colured in the appropriate colours. |

Lastweekend I was fortunate to see Paul McDermott(who has always been my favourite) The Sandman and Mikey Robbins in there performance called "RATPACK",(in Toowoomba QLD) and may I say it was fantastic, Paul sure has the most magnificent voice I have ever heard!!!!Very Talented Young man indeed. I was also fortunate to meet them after the show aswell and let me tell you they are all very friendly type of guys!!!! Would you know if Paul would be making a cd of all the songs he has sung??? | Comments: | Paul was celebrity speaker at the Art Gallery and he spoke about Buddhism and what it means to him, being raised a Catholic. He compared the imagery associated with both religions, spoke about his unsuccessful introduction to meditation and that sort of thing, for about 45mins.
As always, Paul was amazing, witty, and extremely funny. Although he did get rattled by a member of the audience, which I've never seen happen before. The Art Gallery of NSW had a camera set up so it was recorded, but I was told that it probably wasn't for viewing (so what was it for then???). I thought Id also mention that I saw The Rat Pack in November 2001 in Wollongong and it was excellent. Extremely funny. I recomend everyone go see it, its great. Paul sing in it too which is an added bonus. Wil Anderson was the special guest at the show instead of Peter Burner at the show that I saw. Anyways if you can go to the show, GO!! You will love it.
