I did not know Chip's father, of course, but he sounds like a wonderful man. Tennessee has lost a beloved soul. What a wonderful memorial this is to him. You have my condolences. I realize that it has been already two months (I am writing this on September 1st) but pain fades slowly. Know that as you look out over the East Tennessee hills, there your father's spirit is. When you see an eagle soar, he may soar due to the works of you father. When a doe nuzzles her fawn, it is your father in her. No one ever truly leaves us when they continue to live in our hearts. And also in our works, our loves, and the land. Bless you. |

pleasure of meeting his son. I'm sure that Chip is a proud example of his father's sense of humour, morals and appreciation for the simple things that life has to offer us. We have only known Chip for a short time but have come to realize that he is very honest, hard working and would do just about anything to help someone in need.
