Hi all. We are long-time Chowists who have had Chows since 1972, starting with one of Mrs Bennett's Perkychow dogs and working through Stapleton, Baytor, Trevennan and a lovely dog who was bred by Mr and Mrs Rose from Mold but did not have a kennel name. We have recently bought a lovely Cream boy from Amanda, Chopan Cream Fudge (whom we have named "Simon"). He was one of her September litter, and is growing up to be a lovely, friendly and sociable puppy. He is very talkative and loves his toys and his walks, and is about to start puppy training classes. We bought Simon after losing our last little Red girl, Trevennan Sweet Charity to cancer aged 13 years, and we can't imagine living without a Chow or two in the house. Looking forward to the next few years of being owned by a Chow!

My step daughter bought a chow chow and has left it with me to take care of.. I have very limited knowledge of this breed... But have experience with other breeds.. Sugar appears to have a lazy eye now.. Is there anything i can do to correct this... Thanks for your help and consideration Bob |

Thanks to Amanda we have just been chosen to receive a pup from a 5 week old litter, she was just to helpfull and the pups look beautiful.

Just found the website we have a beautiful black male chow chow called Keva, he is 10 years old and the last of our 5 chow chows spanning some 30 plus years, we lost his elder brother Chai Lee last August aged 14 years of 10 months, would never dream of having another breed of dog absolutely love them |

We have recently got a chow bitch who was untrained when we bought her at six months but we have got her ruling the household and she has turned out to be the head of the family, but she is a pain on the lead but that is because she was never trained at all but will she be trainable even now at 12 months we certainly hope so.

This site brings back some great memories of when we had our Chows. They are the best dogs ever. We have had 4 of them in our 27yrs marriage. It started off as the only dog that my wife Margaret was not allergic too, but then we fell in love with the breed. At one point we had 3 beautiful black ones. All of them were not perfect but it did not bother us as they were pets and not for show or breeding. Good fun whe nit was time to get their inoculations at the vets!!!!!
