Yeah as you dudes may know, I've been called a flamer by some of the AAPr's in the past (and I still do flame some outside this rotten site, but only to a necessary and more moderate/minimal amount). And I've done some things I'm not exactly proud of and I want to say I'm kinda sorry for how I acted here and there (well only the n00bish behavior anyways and not the important stuff I really meant to say). I mean you know I was still in junior high back then and I wasn't nearly as smart and wise as I was now and you know people during their early adolescent years can be utterly chaotic and can say whatever sort of cockbaggery they want. That aside, I've been browsing back and forth on archive.org to see all the past guestbook entries of 2004 (and a little bit of 2005) and I have to say reading back a lot of those posts gave me feelings of intensive nausea/headaches, bittersweet lulz, some internal shame, and even revived frustration. And I haven't forgotten that troll named Stephane Portha (aka a shitty teen porn-loving embarrassment to all frenchmen and even trolls) and assassin (the prick that's been on my mind since the past few months, but didn't really post much). Now I said I was going to refrain from flaming, but i need to get some steam out and if there's anything I should have said to them a long time ago, it's a lot of things. but for stephane, I think I've said enough. For assassin, that metallica-wanking bastard (i have nothing against metallica though) had the galls to ignorantly badmouth Mario/Nintendo. I remember that one particular post he made (though I can't remember verbatim, since the archive page with it is nowhere to be found, so...), but he said something like "Hey I agree with Disturbed_One here, you nintendo dick. Your fukkin fat italian plumber, mario, is the same reason why I hate nintendo. What's he going to do, jump on me?" and that post was the very first post of my history on the internet I have ever seen anyone actually diss mario/nintendo. >:O So I guess I'll have to break down his post the same way Trez breaks down flame posts in his Hate Stuff section (which I find some to be funny) "Your fukkin fat italian plumber is the sole reason I hate nintendo?" O really? I'm sorry if you ever got excluded from mario/nintendo games when you were a kid and had cry your tears out in the corner for your parents to dry xD. And you have a burning hatred against Italians and plumbers hmmmm? Because you're jealous that someone with possible connections to the Mafia is better than you in everything and is afraid that they can call a hit on you anytime anywhere? (lol an assassin being called a hit on by a mafioso. rich.) Mario is still the king of gaming (and so is Nintendo) and they'll keeping going on making billions of dollars, whether you like it or not, kid. "What's he going to do? Jump on me?" Yes and why do you ask? It's your comment about how Pokemon keeps repeating it's story plot that's why you don't consider it as a 'Real' Anime!!... i respect your opinion, but THIS reason seems invalid. why? if you can recall, before Gundam, Dragonball Z and Pokemon... there was Voltes 5, Mazinger Z and Daimos. These were anime created way, way back then. (i think 1970's? i'm not sure) iv'e watched their episodes and their story plots are LITERALLY the same. i'm not just talking about their individual story plots but as in these 3 shows had THE SAME story plot, yet they are anime and a lot of people liked them. so yeah, good site, it's just this reason that bothers me. :) |

I'm not a superfan of pokemon, but I don't hate them (all.. the jigglypuff is a different matter), and I find many of them to be rather cute. I am not flaming nor am i insulting, mocking, hating or fighting you for hating pokemon, alto ugh i admit, i really like Pokemon(i guess it's because Pokemon showed during the peak of my childhood days) so it would be really hard for me to not watch, much less hate pokemon. I've read your hate stuff section and i admit SOME pokemon fans are morons. They get so consumed with pokemon, they do all this stupid stuff to protect it's credibility like saying all those who don't watch or hate pokemon are 'losers' or 'they insult the culture' and stuff like that. but by doing those things they are actually RUINING the credibility of pokemon by acting immaturely which reflects the effects of being addicted to pokemon. Now, I would like to restore some of the credebility of Pokemon, but again this is just my opinion...most of them are my answers to the reasons why you hate Pokemon.
[ The show dosen't stand close to the concept of the game.] Well if this were the case then the show would become boring because you already know what's gonna happen and who all the characters are. Besides, they based it on a game. There really isn't a guide for them while creating the cartoon. it would be understandable if they based it on a book, like Harry Potter movies, and totally screw it up, cause they already have a basis for it. But they based it on game, that's hard to do. [I hate how Nintendo used the cartoon to target it towards kids, instead of targeting it toward 9-13 year olds which what the game was intented too.] I don't think it's really the case here. As iv'e said, they based it on a game, As i recall, the sprites in the pokemon game were chibi's so didn't have any basis on what the characters look like(i think they also based the character to match the look of the pokemon... just imagine what it would look like if the pokemon would retain there 'cute' image and the characters would look like something from Gundam Seed or Dragon Ball Z? it wouldn't really fit in.) [Pokemon is a FAD. Don't be tellin me it's not a FAD...] Yes! Pokemon IS a FAD. Just like past games and cartoon shows like He-Man, Thunder Cats, Mario and TMNT etc. but even though it's just a fad, to some it becomes a childhood memory or just something worth remembering. Like Mario...Since his FIRST appearance, Mario games are still going strong, up to now. It's the same with Pokemon, you said it yourself [ The product of Pokemon was marketed out of proportion like any other FAD. Probably even more than Mario in his hay day...] If Mario was such a big hit then and no. I wouldn't be suprised if the Pokemon FAD would last for 10-20 or even more so years. I mean, it has been...9? 10 years? since Pokemon first aired...In my country(Philippines). Yes! the Pokemon Hype has quite diminished since then...But every now and then i still hear it and it's something almost everyone can talk about.... [A large number of fans liked Pokemon cause they were following a group. Not b/c they liked it themselves] Well of course people liked following the group... In the game you were this kid who was out catching Pokemon, of course the cartoon still based it on that concept. The three characters(Ash, Misty and Brock) all had a role on why they were travelling in a group(unlike the game... where you travel alone.) Brock serves as a friend to Ash, while Misty becomes a girl counterpart to balance Ash's bold, rash and boyish actions.( It would be utterly boring if we were only to follow Ash throughout the Pokemon episodes.) Now for the Pokemon... I think people liked the Pokemon too but it would be stupid to make an episode of Pokemon with JUST the Pokemon.( Who would want to hear 20 full mins. of Pickachu going "Pika pikaCHU! Pika pi!" no one would understand it. [Jessie dosen't even a exist in the Pokemon games] Well, yes! But i think Jessie just serves as a girl counterpart to James as Misty is to Ash. Since Cassedy already has Butch(another Team Rocket) I think it's only fair that James gets Jessie. I think Nintendo gave this one a bit of justice...(This is just like what the directors of the Harry Potter movies did... They removed Peeves from the script but it still makes a good movie.) So you see, the cartoon didn't really ruin the Pokemon games... they just had to make sure the elements of the cartoon fitted the series. Well, that's it... Have a nice day :D |

1. You claim that "This is a prime example of a Pokefreak. Lack of grammar. Ignorance level off the scale and probably worst of all does nothing, but insult me with nothing backing it up", though your site contains literally hundreds of senseless grammatical errors (ie. "there" instead of "their", "it's" instead of "its", "tooken" instead of "taken", "too" instead of "to", etc). Also, contrary to what you might think, not all Pok駑on fans are ignorant. You seem to have run in to a large part of the minority, which is, of course, called stereotyping. 2. If you had an idea (much like Satoshi Tajiri), would you be bothered more if it seemed like a rip-off to a small group of people, or if it made you a lot of money? Don't give me any crap about "I wouldn't care about the money". You wouldn't be able to ignore the money you made. You'd be a millionaire. 3. Apparently, by watching the Pok駑on Anime, "children are being trained in the occult and other anti-social behaviour". The Vatican has given its official blessing to Pok駑on for teaching such great moral values. You can't get much more Christian than the Pope. Also, could you please pinpoint the exact time when Pok駑on contained any anti-Christian (or any other religion, for that matter) material, or when it supported the Occult? Didn't think you could. 4. Anti-Pok駑on groups have been spoonfed the lie that "the TV show pushed dangerous messages by showing the Pokemon animals fighting each other to the death while their masters watched on". (a) These people obviously have never seen any episode of Pok駑on. There has never been a fight-to-the-death on Pok駑on. Ever. (b) Pok駑on are not "animals", and humans are not their "masters". If I had a penny for every time I heard some Anti-Pok駑on random say that, I'd be coughing up ｣50 notes by now. Anyone who has watched the Anime (even the most dim-witted of people) can see that the best Pok駑on trainers are friends with their Pok駑on, and would never let them get into such a situation. 5. Your site contains the words "stupid" and "moron" on almost every page. Become original, please, or at least alternate some adjectives. 6. Fads have never lasted this long, which rules out Pok駑on as a "fad". I refer you to the following page, http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=fad : "fad (n.): A fashion that is taken up with great enthusiasm for a brief period of time; a craze." I don't call eight years (and counting) a "brief period of time". And if you do, the planet you're living on obviously has extremely short years. 7. A snippet from your site: "Pokemon fans are a real bunch of morons. They`ve been zombified by the Pokemon hype. Some these people are 15, 17 years old and there watchin a kids show. Does anybody see something wrong here? Not that there's anythin wrong with it, but it just seems there is so many. I surely doubt there were that many that liked TMNT." (a) Yes, I'm 15. Yes, I'm a Pok駑on fan. Yes, I go to a Grammar School. Hence proving that not all Pok駑on fans are morons. (b) For God's sake, stop comparing Pok駑on with TMNT, they're completely separate concepts. 8. You say that "The show just doesn`t stand close to the concept of the game". There is a reason for this: In the original R/B versions of the game, the three starters were Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander. The producers of the show were not allowed to seem biased to one of these Pok駑on, which would probably upset kids if they found out they hadn't picked Ash's starter, which would make them feel left out. Hence the whole "Ash gets Pikachu" saga. Secondly, the game is supposed to be a free-run. You can do whatever you like in the game. If the game was to follow the exact same path as the Anime, the game would become very boring very quickly, and even you can't argue with that one. 9. From your Movie Soundtrack Review page (please note that your site is extremely outdated; three other Movies have been released since): "I thought Ash, Brock and Misty were always on a vacation of sorts." I laughed at that for a whole 5 minutes, I really did. And not in the kind way. Also: "When you watch the movie you can clearly see that non of characters are on vacation(atleast I wouldn't call battling Mewtwo a vacation). Unless, they mean "Pikachu's Vacation" I could understand that, however they said these songs were for the movie, not the little feature at the beginning." Two things: (a) If you'd actually paid attention to the Movie (which proves you're actually more ignorant than us), you would've realised that "Vacation" by Vitamin C was played at the very beginning of the film - During the featurette "Pikachu's Vacation". (b) "Pikachu's Vacation" was part of the Movie. That's why you went to that big building called the Cinema to see it. 10. Again, from your Sountrack Review page: "I honestly thought this wasn't a bad CD. I like all the songs, but one thing confuses me. Why is the theme song "Don't say you love me"? I mean, there isn't any romance in the movie, and Ash and his Pikachu are just friends." - THIS PERSON DOES NOT SPEAK FOR US. "cindidol" is obviously not a fan of Pok駑on, because if he/she was, he/she would know about things like this: http://web.archive.org/web/20010302031920/http://www.aaml.com/ . Sadly the site had to shut down because of hosting problems. 11. "I was kelined(sp?) from a chat server cause I acted as if I liked the little shit." - K:lined, my friend. K:lined. An IRC network ban. 12. You fail to refer to the link I gave in #10 on your "Anime" page, along with your Rocketshippers paragraph. AAML is as good as proven, however you can't call those people "fools that feel they have to force there beliefs on everybody" (quoted; not a grammatical error in the 8th word). And finally (and possibly the best), 13. You claim to have been a Pok駑on fan in the past, yet you STILL can't spell "Charizard", "Giovanni" and "Marrill" (see http://www.pokemonsux.com/nitpick.shtml). And don't you dare try to change it now and accuse me of being mistaken, there's a copy on my site, as well as on the Web Archive (http://www.archive.org). In closing, I would like to say that you made an extremely bad attempt at making an Anti-Pok駑on site. I rate it C-, for the reasons noted above. I've seen much better. Much, much better.
