| Comments: | People like this scare the real tourists away. If you could find the grave of Madaam Cadotte, She is HISTORY. My Great-Great-Great Grandmother is the original owner of the island and of the South East section of St. Ignace.
Land in St.Ignace was sold as settelers moved in. The Only piece of land that is still within the family (which has been handed down) is at 389 Abe St. |

I enjoyed this web site trememdously. I am a native born and raised mackinac islander..I only live in st.Ignace a short boat trip but I miss mackinac.any pitcures I can see of it is just wonderful.. a funny sense of humor. I've been to the island several times and even stayed there a couple weeks when painting the drowdy house on the east bluff. Got to meet some of the locals including Stu Stuart, a funny comedian who was the caretaker of the house. It's a big white house, looks like a mini grand hotel. It would be cool to see a picture of that up on your site. |
