Don't know if you remember me and my Hawaiian shirts(I painted you a purple one for your Modesto concert) at the Blackwater Cafe in Stockton, but I had to share this experience with you. My wee family and I found a rack of Tempest CD's in Belfast, Maine at the food CO-OP. We had just finished sailing a 38 foot Bristol Cutter around the coast of Maine when we discovered "The Double Cross". We listened to your music all the way home to Putney, Vermont. Our 10 year old son learned the words to "Hangman" and "Captain Kidd" by the time we reached home. My son would love to see the band in person sometime when you are in the Vermont area sometime...maybe Massachusetts is a better scene to your music. Cheers to you and Tempest!!! Art |

Have seen you twice at the Loch Lomond Highland Games/Festival in Ben Lomond, CA while visiting with my good friends Jan and Vinny in Soquel. I really enjoyed your Celtic music plus the explanation of the songs and instruments. My ethnic heritage is Irish/Scottish, so I felt a connection to many of the songs. I just checked your tour dates, hoping to see you here on the east coast. The Philadephia Folk Festival looks very promising! (It's less than 3 hours from my home in northwest New Jersey!!) | Comments: | What fun! Just returned from show in Yreka. (Yes Lief, it's quite a bit different than Eureka) Well, as I approached to purchased a CD I asked how I was to pick just one. I was told by someone whose doesn't normally spend his valuable time at the murchandise table (you know who you are)that they are basically all the same. Not so! As I drove home the music following the folk song Journeyman nearly put me in a trance. But you may still be right. Maybe there is a song on every CD that would have thae same affect. What is it about Celtic Rock that moves the soul? I think it does more than move the soul it somehow manages to wake the sleepiest of bodies. Danceing was way too much fun! And my my. What a crowd pleasing fiddle player you all have. Thanks for the sharpie. See you at Karfluki! Hope you make it here again sometime.
