I remember Miss Thomsom, Mr Mason, Mrs Ridley & her poodle Nicky Bowker.Pupils I remember are Pat Murray, Dianne Sutton,Sandra Hughes Peter Moseley(lived just down the road from me) David Harrington & Roger Pearson my 1st boyfriend when I was 5 years old. Moved to Poole in 1978, then to Costa Blanca in 2002 after recovering from cancer. |

| Comments: | Attended Whoberley School 1963-1969 and lived in Turner Road. Miss Thompson the head mistress and Mrs Pedley as the deputy. Mrs Ridley that smoked like a trooper and looked 100 years old lol. Mr Mason who after school took roller skating group in the upper hall. Mr Griffin and his links to the Belgrade Theatre so he passed his enthusiasm onto our school plays lol. In my class Iremember Darrell Popley, Terrence Davies, Mary Phillips, Lorna Gould,Julie Tyso, Stephanie Brewer, Leslie Philips, Lionel Hazzard, Jane Boulus, Jane Adams, The triplets Christine, Susan and Peter Boyfield, Jonathan Dunceath, Susan Tasker, Susan Johnson, Jane Connolly, Charlie Wykes, Gerald Wood,Suzzane Duff, Julie Cull, Brian Settle, Nicholas Payne, Nicholas Parsons,Margot Woodhead,Hillary Horrabin Carol and Mark Caufield. Loved the school and the lovely christmas tree that was always put at the top of the steps leading down to the lower hall. I loved those days.........but then I grew up lol |

| Comments: | moved to whoberley early 50s with parents, lived in the hostels old address was SICK BAY 4 eldest brother played for whoberley wanderers f.c. (Fred Wilson).The time as a kid was not easy in the hostels,how ever we were finally housed in Canley But those were the days.......derek wilson father was known as Tug, anyone who may remember the family drop us a line.. |

| Comments: | I lived in Gorseway and attended Whoberley Hall School in Lyndale Road from 1954 to about 1958, a grim place even then surrounded by prefabs and semi-derelict hostels. The head mistress was Miss Davies, the only teachers I can remember were a Miss Bacon and Miss Enstone. Pupils I remember were Nigel Newey, Robert Crouch, David Stables, Robin Boland, Christine Owen. When Miss Davies transferred to the newly opened Allesley Hall Primary School in 1958/9 I moved with her. |

| Comments: | Seeing my name was surprising - perhaps I'm not forgotten? Was at Whoberly from 1954(?) to 1961 (wow, that was a long long time ago). I remember Miss Thompson as the headmistress and Mr Mason who I think taught maths. The universal problem of a depleting amount of memory cells prevent me from remembering too much. Pupils I remember: Steve Nicholls and Jenifer York. |

| Comments: | I was at Whoberly/Templars from 1942 to 1952. Can only remember my Senior years now, mostly the last two. Teachers:Mr Woods, Mrs Cherry, Mr Harris, (the bully).I think he caned me more than any other kid in the class. Students I remember, Trevor Holbrook (I think) Phil Wyatt,I think I remember a Rowley in class also.I also remember Marcia Wilkinson From Mr Woods class.Now living in Seattle Washington St USA. | Comments: | Whoberly Hall (1976-1981)...Jacki Donovan I grew up on the estate across the road from the school , which was handy! Along with my elder sister and brother Su and John. I remember Mrs Bulmer and Mr Griffin(Coffee & Sugar in a jar heated with a cup element & who could forget the BUZZER GAME!!!) , and Mr Pedley , who is still there!! Brave man , used to chew his tongue in assembly and alter your knife and fork at lunch if you were holding them "incorrectly"!! I also have some memory of the stage in the old hall being haunted?It was pretty derelict by the time i went there , so felt haunted! Can't remember everyone but remember Teachers:- head Miss Thompson, previous head Mrs Davies, Mr Mason, Large fearsome lady who insisted that ball point pens were the work of the devil, blonde haired lady who got through about 20 Senior Service per lesson. Anyone remember their names? Pupils:- Dave Harrington, Peter Moseley, Judith Carmen, Jennifer York, Vivienne Davis, Pat Murray(exchanged love letters and kissed by the old boilerhouse) Phil Thomas, Ted Koysys, Peter Henderson, Alan Wainwright, Robin Boland (wasn't in our class but acheived some notoriety!). I'm sure I've missed loads, but the old memory's about as good as it was in 1961! |

| Comments: | Whoberley Hall from '63 to '69. Bablake from '69 to '76. Hull Uni from '76 to '79. Bristol ever since. A few things about school : - playing Oliver in the musical with Mr Griffiths as Fagin sticking the sausage fork a bit close to my face - Mrs. Cooper handing out tambourines and chime bars for a music lesson in the room at the far left hand side - the felt cat that Mrs Ridley instructed us in the making of and the millions of tights/stockings that needed to be cut up for the stuffing! - queueing for lunch, and constantly wondering at the equipment available in the "unused" old gym. I was distraught when I lost my little felt pussy. |
