 I really hope this comic gets revived. I love it, and I think the whole story deserves to be told. I understand that you may have lots of general busy things going on, but I'd love to see a good piece of wirk like this keep going.  Someone up there really hates me. I followed the link on some banner-manga-link-exchange thing that had a really cool picture of Svalin on it, and I wind up here, and the first frame I see is this huge gravestone on the front page. Blarg. But I read the entire thing, and I hope that you get inspiration again, sometime before this particular teenager hits middle age. Really. If you ever do work on this, go get it published - or at least finish this particular arc, or something, and get it published in a single comic book. It's lovely, and it would certainly be a hit with the fantasy-comic crowd.
Speaking of which, that brings me to the other point I wanted to mention - there's a series called 'The Books of Magic', a comic series, by Neil Gaiman and published by Image comics. It's horribly, insanely good, and I've only read the first book out of a series of who-knows-how-many because I can't find the second anywhere I look. But I digress.
It's about this kid who turns out to be a really powerful wizard or something (haven't gotten that far yet, for reasons previously mentioned) and he's half-elf and half-human, and his mother was the Queen of Faerie. It's really cool, and it reminds me a LOT of this. Only I like this better.
I actually don't recommend that you read it, because it's so like this the ideas may cross-contaminate, but the story by Gaiman is really about the son, whereas this is about the father... eh. Don't listen to my rants. But the art is a little like Sandman (another series done by Gaiman) at times, and the subject matter, and it's lovely-gorgeous, so the connection was obvious.
But anyway, no matter what happens, or what this is like, I hope you do continue it, eventually, or maybe once you realize how terribly good this is. And then I will rejoice and be happy for - well, not ever, but a while. And then you will get this published, and the world can be happy.

 Ah, where to begin..? So much to say...

What a loss that the story of Svalin may never be told in whole..the story is priceless, and cleverly sculpted..I've never come upon a webcomic as well thought out as yours (or any published comic or manga for that matter, apart from BOTI). The characters are so unique and colourful, it would be no easy task to equal them.

I adore your art..you'd probably do very well in illustration, if you are interested in pursuing art as a career. I've never seen a style quite like yours before; it's messy and colourful and it conveys emotion, whether it's loneliness, or passion, or excitement.

If you ever find the time, please continue the tale, storyteller!

 I know that you're probably busy and that's why the comic can't be updated... but can't you at least finish the current story and give like a brief ending? it's a shame to leave such an awesome webcomic unfinished...

and can somebody tell me why it seems like EVERYTIME I find a webcomic I really like, it ends up calling it 'quits' just about a month or so after I get into it?? maybe it's a curse I have....

 Found your comic through the pic of yours that made moderators choice, today. (Which is great, btw -- it's so nice to see people that know how to use pastels) Came here because I really liked the style of your artwork.. it's pretty unique and colorful. I really like the comic, the art is great, and the plot is fascinating, but I do have one small crit -- it could use more dialogue. There are lots of "silent" pages where I wonder what is making the characters look at each other like that. Anyway, keep it up! More, More, More!

I saw your comic after you joined FantasyLair, and it blew me away! I love the rough inks (kinda like Bill Seinkewitz) and the beautiful colors. You really have an eye for color. And stories about outcast elves always interest me (actually, my comic shares several elements with yours). And you posted Chapter 7! Joy!!
