Comments Hey Doc, The first time I heard Echoes ( Christmas '71) I was done and didn't think it could get better but the acoustic version on Gdansk is also great, how about a pod w/ different versions of Echoes/Embryo. If you think most people won't be too bored, I am not your average Floyd fan and can listen to them constantly to the chagrin of my wife.

Comments although i have a few questions i wanted to ask, my main purpose here is to thank you for the effort, time, and consideration you've given to this endeavor. i only learned of this site in the last few days. i was sent the link for the Montreal '77 gig, and there's really no looking back after that, is there? so, thanks. please ignore those who wish you wouldn't talk before the broadcasts. i find the chatting is informative, sets the mood, and is just a genuine show enthusiasm for whatever broadcast is about to be played. it draws me in. as for my questions, i wanted to ask if the opening montage with "medication time", "doctor" being repeated, and the bit about "the show that forgot to take it's prozac" is something you put together, or is it from elsewhere? if it's your creation, i thought you might be able to direct me regarding the programs you used to make it. i've wanted to make a Floyd mix of a fantasy 40th anniversary tour, but using studio tracks i think they might've played, and i like the idea of an introductory sound efx overture of sorts leading into track one. also, i never see anyone ever point it out, but after the line in Hey You that goes, "and the worms ate into his brain", there is a "Ping" sound like the one found in Echoes. it can be heard above the drill sounds. every track on the album seems to have a musical/lyrical or other sonic reference to Floyd's past, but that one seems to never get mentioned. had you noticed it? is there a long studio version of Run Like Hell, one that is roughly the length of the live versions? lastly, i haven't been able to go through all of the months in your backlog of shows yet, so if this is a silly question, please disregard! do you have Roger's solo gig from June 1984 from Birmingham, England? i've got an audience recording from it, but i wasn't sure if it was a common show or something already heard long ago. lastly, if you're interested, i'll be happy to send a wonderful show from June 29, 2007 at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Roger is clearly moved by the end of the show. the crowd are ravenous, but in a very respectful way. it's a standard Roger 07 set. thanks for your time in reading all this! take care and be well. over and out. Jason
Favorite Pink Floyd song it depends on the day, but i'm leaning towards Echoes, i mean Wish You Were Here, i mean In The Flesh?, i mean Set The Controls....i can't be any clearer than that, i'm afraid.

Comments PINK FLOYD has been a favorite of mine since the days of "DARK SIDE" and continues to be until death. I even am bringing up my 5 month old grandson on the floyd. I gave him my old version of DARK SIDE for a gift on his birth. I used the 2nd side to put my two children to sleep as they grew up, and don't see any reason to stop spreading the word of the FLOYD now. LONG LIVE THE FLOYD

For example, I'd like to hear a live recording of 'Set the controls' - do you have one prior to October 1968? Also I'd like to hear 'A Saucerful of Secrets' from September 1972. The performance of 'Careful with that Axe' in May 1977 at Oakland was memorable also. There's plenty more examples.

Comments Just wanted to send you some comments on your podcast "Brain Damage". First of all, I love your show. I stumbled on to it quite by accident and am really glad I did. I have been a Pink Floyd Fan since I was a young teenager in the 70's. I rank them in my top 3 favorite bands of all time. My friends used to think I was nuts listening to Albums Like Ummagumma( thanks to you I now know what that means!) and Meddle. I could never get enough of it!! Your show is just like a rediscovery of the band, clips and bits I've never heard before. I find myself looking forward to your next podcast. Keep up the fantastic work. I don't know how you find time to do what you do.

Comments I am a lifelong Floyd fan, and an avid collector. The nice thing of being a collector is that, every once in a while, while you sift thru the rubbish, you come across a true gem. Well, last week I found a very poorly recorded mp3 of the show on which you broadcasted the DSOTM remix. Even though the sound quality was next to awful, I was blown out of my socks. That prompted me to search for a better version, and I found your site, and then found the hidden link to the remix. Man… It was like listening to DSOTM for the first time almost 30 years ago. I have all the sources you used on the remix, and of course I have watched to the DSOTM DVD a few times. Your work was just brilliant, the mix is perfect. The soaring guitar solo from Gilmour in Money and the acoustic pieces by Waters on Brain Damage are awesome. As you said, it is of course a perfect album. But you managed to create a whole new way of listening to it. Thank you sooooo much!

Comments I heard about you on another show at WMFO last week, early Sunday morning. The DJ (Jason of Night Train whom I usually listen to) was saying all kinds of really mean things about you. He called your show "butt pirate radio" and mentioned your real name on the air and all kinds of bad stuff. Basically he was going on and on about you in a very negative way. So I was curious and decided to listen to your show for the first time this past Friday night to see what it was he was going on about. I have to tell you... YOU ROCK! your show is so much better and so much more fun to listen to. I also appreciate the fact you never once mentioned Jason. Jason lost a loyal listener and you gained one.

I always preferred a quiet audience too - so I could experience all the excellent music. Long live the Floyd. When the roadies were taking away the kit - it must have been like a Dire Straits concert when they play "Going Home", or in 1972/73 watching ELP dismantling half the set so Keith Emerson could rock with his Hammond!I will now be a regular listener -from Spain.
