| Comments: | Hi Guyz, we didn't stay at the hotel (wish we had done, where we stayed was disappointing) but we did eat at the New Guise restaurant after a recommendation from someone in the village. All I can say is wow! I had the fruit juice starter, Alan the prawn cocktail with the brandy sauce (Alan said you could really taste the brandy!) For my main I had the plaice, now I like my vegetables well cooked and nothing was too much trouble for the gang - well done chef! Alan pushed the boat out and had the rump steak, grilled to his preference with the sauce on the side. Alan can be quite picky about his steak but this prime cut was exactly as he wanted it. For Pudz, I had Luxury Cornish Ice Cream, Alan Spotted Dick, with coffees to complete a wonderful meal in very pleasant surroundings. Watch out Gordan Ramsey I say!!! This year we'll be back to Polzeth, and we'll be staying at the white heron - flying high! |

Just wishing everyone who looks at this guestbook is made aware of what such a fabulous hotel you have. We have handed out all of your cards to everyone in the office and hopefully they will recommend to all their customers too. Best wishes to you - will be seeing you again next year if you have any vacancies, Once again thank you and best wishes for continued success |

Many good stories of past places and stories told. We had hoped to get back again this year but that old problem of 'work' hindered us. Cant wait for those lovely breakfasts. Have passed your addess on to many friends. Hope to see you in 2006 Phil and Tricia xx |

| Comments: | White Heron - A must for each visit - Happy customer - by Stephanie from United Kingdom
Rating: 10/10 - Type of traveller: Mature Couple - Age Group: 41 - 50 Good food, reasonably priced, clean comfortable accommodation. Pleasant family run restaurant and B&B. Whether camping or caravanning (or making use of the B&B accommodation late in the season is glorious, if windy weather - when the rest of the U.K. was being pummelled by storms), year after year we have been made welcome and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, as well as being occasionally entertained by the musical talents of the youngest family member. We have also taken friends and family (or recommended to others who also visit the area), and none have been disappointed. Definitely the place to visit if you are in the area. Husband had to go without me this year, but still called in to eat and while away the time...and will both be there again next year and the next... |

| Comments: | Having stayed at The White Heron for a week every year of my life (I'm now 19) I remember it with the fondest of memories, it is most certainly a welcoming place with the decorations usually changed on an annual basis due to Paul being probably the most active DIY bloke on the planet, thankfully he is bound (only just) by the exterior walls of the hotel otherwise the shape may change aswell! If you aren't stunned by Pauls particular attention to detail and cool interior design then Margaret will blow you away with a whole load of great dishes all freshly cooked and tasting superb! My firm favourite is the pasta pot, guaranteed to fill any stomach after a hard days surfing and rounded off with a yummy serving of hot chocolate fudge pudding and ice cream, top notch!! All enjoyably downed whilst listening to the daft antics of Jodie and Paul. Then work yourway upstairs to your room where you'll find comfortable beds and always clean rooms, perfect for a really good nights relaxing sleep! If your gonna bother going to cornwall book in at The White Heron! You can rest assured you'll only get the most welcoming and friendly service you ever got! It comes with 19 years of recommendation from me! You'd have a less pleasant stay in a Hilton hotel than at The White Heron! Believe me, I've been in both! The White Heron wins hands down everytime! WHY HAVEN'T YOU BOOKED ALREADY!?!? All the best guys! Keep it cool! |
