Paintings and furniture that had been in the Keith-Falconer Earls of Kintore estate for over 500 years! Why did this man do this was he that broke and in need of money??? What a shame these Items will never be able to be replaced the money will be gone soon also he should have but these items in a museum so people coul see them all together like they have been for over 500 years money is nothing family history is everything and what a Great Family I desend from the Keith-Falconer family! The Keith name has been in my family for over 1000 years I have passed that name on to my son Grant Keith Smith and he will pass it on to his ! What a shame that the 14th Earl of Kintore has lost pride in what was given to him . If it would have been me I would have never split up so much family history of the Keith- Falconer family to gain only a dollar!!! My cousin seems to know a lot about our family and said that we are decendents of an Adam Keith who had a son named Adam, who had a son, Adam the third. Adam 3 had a son but I don't remember what the name was but somewhere along the line my great grandfather Lester was born. He died around 1947. His son Harold is my grandfather and he was born in 1918. If anyone knows more information and can help me out I would appreciate it VERY much.

I have found in the internet that the Surname Falconer actually belongs to the clan Keith. My wife Mari (nee Falconer) hails from South Africa. We were both born there. I am German born and we now live in Germany where I found all my relatives. We are now looking for the area my wife's relatives come form; but her great grandfather William Moir Falconer went to South-Africa around 1900 and apparently left from Edinburgh by ship. We are now celebrating almost 30 years of marriage and both just passed 50, I would like to take her to the places where her forebares come from at the end of August; our wedding anniversary and her birthday in the same week. My mothers' maiden name is Keith. She was born in Scotland as were her two sisters. My grandfather was a member of the Royal Highlanders as well as the Black Watch. He passed a couple years back and I regret that I was too young to remember his tales, and then once older I was too preoccupied. |

Its nice to see so many decendents from the Keith Clan. I've been searching for my own roots for some time. My father is Thomas Marshall from Toronto, Ontario Canada and his parents were from Scotland. One from Glascoe and the other from Edinbourgh but I'm not sure which one is from where. Grandpa's name was Iassac Marshall and Grandma was Mary (Hood, i think) Marshall. If anyone could shed some light on this, or want to correspond, I wouldn't mind. I like to meet poeple. I have been researching my family history and found that I had two grandfathers born in Loch Lomond, Scotland and one was buried there,so I think that gives me Scottish heritage. If anyones knows the father of Cornelius Keith born in 1695 in Loch Lomond and was married in 1714 to Elizabeth Johnston could you please email me.Darren Keith should tell everyone where he fits to the Keith history.I traced my family from my dad Henry Thurmond Keith born in Georgia in 1917 to my 6th great grandfather born in Scotland in 1695 wich I would love to learn more about.Yes Highlander he does sound like a kid. | Comments: | I am really inspired by the various bits and pieces I have read about James Keith - Field Marshall of Russia and Prussia . My own clan links are Buchan . In the course of my study so far I have come accross one of James' cousins one Robert Keith of Ludquhairn in the Buchan district of Aberdeenshire . I have every intention of writing a novel based up on the expolits of a member of the clan ( and wherever his descendents went )...necessarily fictitious , however based upon the known adventures of the family .... does any one know any greater detail about the Ludquhairn branch of the family ??? Does any one know anything about James' sons Alexander and Duncan ... what became of them ?

It seems that the family McKeeth can also be traced back to clan Keith, with my immediate family residing mostly in Boise, Idaho (USA) after a migration by my great grandfather from Wisconson (USA). | Comments: | I am researching my husband's family. His great grandfather was Francis Asberry Keith, who served in the Civil War. He married Louisa Bennett. His mother was Eliza Prons Keith and was born in Indiana about 1821. We do not know his father's name, but believe he was from Kentucky. Francis was born in Indiana about 1841 and had a sister, Mary E. who was born in Illinois about 1848. The 1850 census shows Eliza married to Abijah Bennett and living in Missouri, Dallas County. We would like to hear from anyone that can give us any info about Francis's father.

| Comments: | I just recently introduced my 9 year old son to the Clan. We joined the USA branch in May. Zachary is very excited about all aspects of his heritage. His mother and I are divorced and she doesn't understand his excitement. The only problem is we do not have much information on the Haxton Family; due to my Great Grandfather's disappearance shortly after my uncle's birth. Zachary and I are very proud to be members of this great Clan. |
