This is the best Greek mythology site I have ever been on. However, I have a few requests for you as far as this website goes: 1) Make it browser-neutral (on all web browsers except Internet Explorer & Google Chrome, the Greek Language writing in the "name variants" tables in the articles is displayed as those English alphabet letters that most American word processors equate those Greek letters with, rather than as actual Greek letters). 2) Fix diacritic errors in the Greek words. 3. Update the site with all the information you gathered on Greek Mythology since December 2007. 4) Fix the family tree diagrams (for some reason, when I go on those pages, the diagrams don't show. It instead shows a blank image space with a little rectangle containing a red x in the top left of said image space). When you can, contact me at thood1991@hotmail.com regarding these problems. |

M12.4 in the "Theoi" photo gallery. I am interested in finding where this cup is (museum, institution, private collection). The information given below the photo at your "Theoi" site refers to "TBA (Taranto ?)". I searched through Internet for TBA and for Taranto museum, but I haven't managed to find the object or the photo of it. I am actually writing with an inquiry. I am doing a study of the word prosphiles, as used in the centuries surrounding the first century AD. One lexicon cited an occurence of the word in the work of Diodorus Siculus, 5, 39, 4. I assume this means book Five, 39.4. I noticed your cite provides an online translation of book 5, but it omits 5.9.1 - 5.41.4, with the statement "[Not yet included here. Most of the content of this book is geographical rather than mythological.]" I wonder to inquire if it might not be to much trouble to have the text of the individual verse 5.39.4 emailed to me?
