My heart goes out to this family, I know and understand the pain brought on by the loss of a loved one. I found this peom i would love to share with this family.. you may have seen or read it somewhere before, but it is one of my favorites.....
And God Said.....

I just returned from vacation and saw this. I am sitting here crying. I was just talking about Cathy on my vacation and I didn't realize it has already been one year. I was one of the very few privileged people from TPP who got to meet Cathy and she has a special place in my heart. You are missed Cath, and I wish we had gotten more time in person but I cherish the time we did spend. Hope you are preparing a special place for all of us to meet there one day. |

Isnt it amazing how someone you never met can leave such a lasting impression on you? I have a terrible memory, but oddly enough I can actually remember some of Cathys posts! But mainly a memory of an unselfish caring heart will stay with me for ever. God bless all of her family, especially at this time as they look back on a year without her. |

Cathy, you were such an amazing person. You always had so many kind words to say, and an endless supply of stories to share with us. You kept us laughing and looking forward to the next set of pictures and stories, when you would let us in while you shared yet another piece of you heart and life with us all. I would in turn take great pleasure in sharing what you had posted with my family and with my friend that is a bird lover by computer disfunctional. Oh they would laugh and feel like they knew you too. They also felt the loss that this side of the bridge went through. You were truely a special soul in a world that has so few. I miss you.
May God keep your family & friends tight in his arms, helping them. |

Cathy, sometimes we are privileged to have someone come into our lives who become such a part of our heart that the passage of time or their passage into a new dimension does not disconnect them from our lives nor our hearts. You will always be here, dwelling in my heart, and your spirit will always burn brightly within. It is one year ago today that we lost our dear friend CathyM. I still miss her so much even though we never actually met. Cathy impacted my life greatly with her friendship, warmth, compassion, and love for people and animals. I am so thankful that she was in my life. She has been an inspiration to me and changed my way of viewing the world for the better.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who knew her, loved her and miss her. Heaven got a special angel a year ago today. |

I must say I am really surprised at how many people Cathy was able to touch. My father and I always knew she was a very special person, but I don't think either of us expected anything like this. I would like to thank everyone involved with this memorial and website. The kind words and well wishes have made the past few weeks a bit easier. Of course at times it makes us sad again, but it is always nice to know that more than just her family realized how remarkable she really was. Again, thank you very much. Jason, Helen, and Anisa. |

Rainbow Bridge for Rescuers
The young pup and the older dog lay on shaded sweet grass watching the reunions. Sometimes a man, sometimes a woman, sometimes a whole family would approach the Rainbow Bridge, be greeted by their loving pets and cross the bridge together.
The young pup playfully nipped at the older one. "Look! Something wonderful is happening!" The older dog stood up and barked, "Quickly. Get over to the path." "But that's not my owner," whined the pup, but he did as he was told. Thousands of pets surged forward as a figure in white walked on the path toward the bridge.
As the glowing figure passed each animal, that animal bowed it's head in love and respect. The figure finally approached the bridge, and was met by a menagerie of joyous animals. Together, they all walked over the bridge and disappeared.
The young pup was still in awe. "Was that an angel?" he whispered. "No, son." The older dog replied. "That was more than an angel. That was a rescuer."

I hope Cathy’s loved ones take comfort in the fact that so many people were touched by her. She was a wonderful person, always quick to jump in and offer whatever help and support she could. I would like to think that those who knew Cathy will keep her spirit alive by enjoying every day and living life to it’s fullest. Cathy’s sense of humor and caring words will be missed by many.

Thanks to Harvest, I have finally made my way to this page. Cathy became a very dear friend to me after I got my BFA, Chico. I had never owned a larger bird & she was there for me every second. I also spoke w/ her on the phone & had a wonderful conversation that lasted a good hour. She was a wonderful E-mail buddy & I loved her dearly! I miss you Cathy. And I know a lot of other people miss you as well. What a light you are to so many. Here I am, the one who normally can't shut up completely at a loss for words...and saying things makes this feel so final. I have to be honest I'm selfish enough that I don't want this to be final.
I think of you Cathy, and I smile. How often can that be said of people? Just thinking of you brings a smile (even though it's very bittersweet right now).
You shared so much joy. So many times something you said would touch my heart - make me stop thinking about my life and it's craziness for a moment, and make me look at life in a better way again.

I didnt know Cathy very well, but her post will be greatly missed. My nephew has CF and he is 11 years old now. So, I'm so impressed that she lived for so many years, and helped so many cf patients. I hope my nephew has many more years ahead of him too. He's a fighter also. May Cathy rest in peace, and get great pleasure from all the fids and fur friends that has passed on to rainbow bridge. They now have someone to take care of them. |

Just know that I miss you mate. We had so many laughs, chats, discussions, even a little anger at some of the bad things of this world - and always came from the same point of view. We shared so much joy with our fids - and not too many can share the adventures and love of our beautiful pastel Princesses - lol. I think of you every morning especially when the lories are here making their racket and how you laughed at them when you heard them over the phone. I'm so glad that at least you are no longer in pain and that you're looking after all the fids of all kinds up there. |

Cathy - I will never ever not miss you. At least ten times a day I think "I must tell Cathy that" during our long-standing nightly chat. I think it is true that we who are left behind ...
