<br>Several of these books are no longer available from retail sources and are quite costly if they can be found but since I am not Wiccan/Asatru, they are of no use to me and I have decided to make them available to the magickal community.

<br>to shove Christianity down your throat? well for me today was it. I was
<br>told i had an emptiness inside that could only be filled with
<br>spirituality and that what i mneeded was church. As i smiled and
<br>crossed by arms by that tyme, i looked at this person and told him that
<br>here was MY truth, i didn't trust the church and didn't ffeel that was
<br>my problem and if it was, then i had my own way of finding
<br>my "spirituality". i could see he and the others i would soon face
<br>were already to condem me. So as my words are written here i now relize
<br>that while the world may never undserstand my choices and my feelings
<br>of why i distrust the "church" but i understand that somewhere i also
<br>have the courage and will to stand true to who i am and what i

<br>phase I have yet to learn, fear clutches me. Although i seek the
<br>answers, the flood of the unknown surrounds me. Where is the place in
<br>which you all find balance in times as real as these. Sleep is consumed
<br>as well as wake, the runes offer only a certain amount of peace. They
<br>come to me faster than I can name them, they are way to advanced for me.
<br> When at wits end and about to explode, I look to the sky and see, those
<br>are the ones I believe in the most, they are the ones that call to me.
<br>I should have never meddled with the stones, now they meddle with me. Is
<br>this the way everyone feels or have I truly stumbled across something
<br>that wasn't meant to be. I have experienced the trancelike state, sung
<br>there with sweet music, so rythmic I couldn't resist. I remember the
<br>intoxicating almost euphoric feeling, and every single question asked of
<br>me! They asked the questions and I couldn't answer, fear again overcame
<br>me. They called me by a name that not my own, yet not unfamiliar to me.
<br>I was encased in a circle with a friend, funny he has'nt any
<br>recollection. I saw his lips moving, and heard the words upon his
<br>breath, yet he can't remember a single thing, should'nt this scare me to
<br>death. I have faith, yet it seems the more you have and the more in
<br>tune to it you are, the more trials and tribulations you must then
<br>endure. Has anyone else out there experienced situations similiar to

<br>Althing 19 was this past weekend and all was wonderous. It was a
<br>chance to renew old acquaintences, and forge new ones. The Asatru
<br>Aliance is growing in both size and strength. Much important business
<br>was accomplished and a joyous time was had by all. It was, as always,
<br>a special treat to see the growing number of children amid our ranks as
<br>this indicates that there well be a generation to carry on our work, and
<br>our fight. I await with great anticipation the day when we can have an
<br>Alliance, A.F.A., or I.A.O.A. kindred in every major city in this
<br>country; when every county hall of records looks at new marriage
<br>liscences and knows just exactly what to do with those listed as ASATRU

<br>now I see that the time has come for me to speak.....I have traveled to
<br>more places on this globe than I care to remember in the years since
<br>1973, and now I have reached a point in my life where I cannot continue
<br>without answers.....explainations if you will....
<br>1) In my initial training in the arts of war....the idea that to avoid
<br>a confrontation of ANY sort was no more that absolute cowardice was
<br>basically pounded into my psyche...How do I reconcile that into a life
<br>in a society where physical confrontation is considered passee?
<br>
<br>2) I spean many years living a life where kill or be killed was the
<br>order of the day every day.....How do I survive when I have not taken
<br>the life of an anamy in over thirteen years?
<br>
<br>3) I spent twelve and a ahalf years solving what few problems I did
<br>have by purely physical (i.e. combative) means...How can I live in a
<br>world where such things a re looked upon as less than coloquially
<br>acceptqble even though they are the only way I know; the only skills I
<br>have.......
<br>
<br>4) How can I, someone raised with the idea that battles fought, and
<br>enemies conquered were the sole source of dignity, pride and
<br>self-srespect ever hope to survive in a world where combat and battle
<br>are considered as sources of anti-social behavior, rather than acts to
<br>be praised?

<br>upon those who have killed many enemies in bettle, or how have given

<br>How often, however, does anyone speak of the thousands upon thousands
<br>whos' only great deed was in simply living? How oftgen do any of us
<br>stop and think on those who lived day in and day out in the shadow of
