our shows this weekend in Portugal have been regrettably cancelled. Basically the money we have been promised for our flights for the last 2 months never materialised. And 3 days before the shows it was total chaos. xmass flights to iberia from here are massively expensive and we were not fronting the money ourselves with no guarantee's. Just so as our fans there know there was nothing Primordial could have done about this sitaution and it fucking sucks as we love coming to Portgual as everyone knows... but we provided all the information need many months ago...nothing happened despite repeated emails and promises. what can we say ?, we (and you) were let down by bad organisation... hopefully in 2003 we can sort this shit out and get back to Portugal. PART ONE ======== Two Irish men walk into a pet shop. Right away they go over to the bird section. Gerry says to Paddy, "Dat's dem." The clerk comes over and asks if he can help them. "Yeah, we'll take four of dem dere budgies in dat cage op dere", says Gerry. "Put dem in a peeper bag". The clerk does and the two guys pay for the birds and leave the shop. They get into Gerry's van and drive until they are high up in the hills and stop at the top of a cliff with a 500-foot drop. "Dis looks loike a grand place, eh?" says Gerry. He then takes two birds out of the bag, places them on his shoulders and jumps off the cliff. Paddy watches as his mate drops off the edge and goes straight down for a few seconds, followed by a 'SPLAT'. As Paddy looks over the edge of the cliff, he shakes his head and says, "Fock dat, dis budgie jumpin' is too fockin' dangerous for me!" PART TWO ======== A minute later, Seamus arrives. He, too, has been to the pet shop and he walks up carrying the familiar 'peeper bag'. He pulls a parrot out of the bag, and then Paddy notices that, in his other hand, Seamus is carrying a gun. "Hi, Paddy. Watch dis", Seamus says and launches himself over the edge of the cliff. Paddy watches as, halfway down, Seamus takes the gun and blows the parrot's head off. Seamus continues to plummet until there is a SPLAT, as he joins Gerry's remains at the bottom. Paddy shakes his head and says, "An' oim never troyin' dat parrotshooting nider". PART THREE ========== A few minutes after Seamus splats himself, Sean strolls up. He too has been to the pet shop and he walks up carrying a familiar 'peeper' bag. But instead of a parrot, he pulls a chicken out of the bag, and launches himself over the cliff, with the usual result. Once more, Paddy shakes his head. "Fock me Sean, first der was Gerry wit his budgie jumping, den Seamus parrotshooting, and now you, fockin' hen gliding". |

however things were rushed and stressful and yes you got an aggressive show !, a raw festival show. Which means no soundcheck, no time for anything, equipment not working etc. If you want an intimate and more emotive show turn up on tour. Primordial is a Metal band, dont forget that. Personally I thought it was a great show and it was great to see people with flags from their countries. My friend I think you are very much in the minority and can't really see why you bothered to post this. And it wasn't Stay Hard...it was Stay Strong !. |

It's sad when a band like Primordial, which I have been adoring since the Journey's end destroys its mysticism itself by descending on this poor metal party image level as I could sadly witness at Wacken this weekend, sorry Mr. Nemtheanga, but I really awaited more than raising fists and trying to entertain..Well it was perhaps hard to play, hearing the audience's wishing to see 'Eisregen'.. I wondered if you really feel this way.
Next disappointment came reading 'stay hard cunts'..stay whatever but 'I hear HER foot on the steps and I turn and SHE is there' poetry is what PRIMORDIAL is for me. A Drunk's Night Before Christmas ******************************** 'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, There were bottles of booze left around by some louse. When through the North window there came a loud yell I sprang to my feet to see what the hell... And what to my bloodshot eyes should I see, But eight drunken reindeer caught up in a tree. And there in the branches, was a man with a sleigh. I knew it was Santa, quite tiddley and gay. Staggering nearer those eight reindeer came, While he belched and hiccoughed and called them by name: "On Whiskey! On Vodka! we ain't got all night, You too, Gin and Brandy, now all do it right!
