Comments:I found a cue at a garage sale, it was kind of plain looking, no wrap, no weight markings, no manufacture's name, black joint connectors, just an odd looking "TS" on a 1/4 inch white band at the butt plate. I bought it to convert it into a break cue. My son had me check the internet for TS pool cues where I was introduced to the world of Tim Scruggs cues. I contacted Tim & Mike about my find, after looking at some pictures Mike figures I have a 'Purpleheart' cue from the early 90s. This WILL NOT be used as break cue. I had been using a 45 year old Brunswick Wille Hoppe cue. Now I have 2 cues to love. My dad has always said "the stick doesn't make the pool player, its the guy holding the stick" I have to add that great equipment sure doesn't hurt. I'll match my cue to anything he or anyone at the poolhall has. Thanks Tim & Mike

Comments:Dear Tim, I recently purchased one of your hustler cues. First, I love the cue. I think it may have been made in the early 90's, but I am not sure. I was wondering if 1) you could put an ivory joint on it. 2)if that would make the hit stiffer. 3)if you would recommend this alteration. I am an avid player, and I completely trust your judgment. Two thirds of my team play with your cues, and we all swear by them. Thank you for your time and your remarkable abilities as an artistic creator.

Comments:Dear Tim I own one of your sticks and its the best stick I've ever played with. I even sent it back to you to be refinished and you did a great job. several people have tried to buy it but I'll have it when I die. I need to buy a new shaft but the joint ring you said you did not have any more. my question is do I need to send you the whole stick to get the joint rings matched up- or can you make one to match the one I have now. The shaft I have now is ok but I need two and want them all to match even if I need to send the butt and shaft I have and get them all replaced. Also I want to know if you make jump-break sticks. Thanks and keep up yhe good work JOHN RUTLAND

I personally enjoy some of the older cuemakers designs with razor sharp points, ivory Hoppe ring. I consider myself lucky enough to have been a teammate of Bob Runde's when we won the KPBL City Championship two years ago, and also having owned some of his cues along with Joel Hercek, Ed Young, Southwest, and Gus Szamboti. I feel your cues are among the best as are some of the aforementioned cuemakers. Hopefully someday I'll be able to add one of your cues to my collection. Thanks, Terry Nixon

Comments:Hi Tim i have a rambo style sneaky pete that i bought in 1995 and i love it. The man that owned the pool hall that i worked at had purchased a ts custom cue in 1983. it was a beautiful cue. So when i desided to purchase the sneaky pete that he ordered from you i had to buy it. i have to admit that the sneaky pete hit just as well as his custom cue. Thats when i knew that you put just as much care into the sneaky petes as you did your custom cues. I know you have quit making the sneaky petes but i hold a special place in my heart for the one that i have. I have been saving my money to order a custom cue of my own. but i am a ways away from ordering it. Thank you for the wonderful cue i have now

Comments:I first hit with one of Tim's cues about 10 years ago at a billiard club in San Francisco that had cues from every high end cue maker, and I hit with all of them.(no names mentioned) Selecting a cue is like buying speakers for a high end stereo system. It's all in the eye of the beholder, so to speak. When I first spoke to Tim, he helped me understand that a standard 58 " cue was too big for me, based on the info I provided , and that a 57" would probably fit me much better and it sure did. I've been using it happily ever since. All cues are made with wood, butts, shafts tips and all the rest. The differences between makers are, however, huge. I can't explain it. For me there is jsut something special about the way a Scruggs cue hits and feels when you use it. Solid, stable predictable, and of courses gorgeous. Sure there are tons of different cues out there, and the price of a custom cue may not be for everyone. If you havent hit with a genuine custon cue, try it, you'll see what I mean. When you do, you can't go wrong with a Tim Scruggs cue. They are truely useable works of art that will always have considerabele inherent residual value. And NO you can't have mine. Greg

Comments:Still have the cue you made for me in 1979. Still a great cue stick. Funny I never did amount to much of a player but whenever I did play and use the stick, somehow others in the room would recognize your style and ask me if it is a Scruggs. Had a lot of offers but never did sell it. Keep up the great craftmanship. Bart J.Simmons

Comments:Thanks Mike and Tim for a truly beautiful, superbly constructed cue..my first Scruggs. Your reputation is well deserved...a true gentleman and a pleasure to deal with. Unfortunately, I can't play with it until after X-Mas...my daughter had my wife wrap it so it will be a "surprise". Looking forward to my Scruggs or Cochran cues next year! Brian

Comments:Hello Tim and Mike, I am always checking your site out for new cues. Can't wait to buy another one,Timmy. In case you're not sure who this is, I will give you a hint. W.C. is a clue. Horace is another. It took me about 15 years to finally have you make me one. I gave you a deposit at the U.S. Open one year. And last clue is, I brought Dennis Rigsby down one Saturday and he ordered a fine cue with lightning bolts on it. Now that you know who this is, I also wanted to say that you and mike come up in conversation all the time. I have another man who wants to come down an talk about having a cue made. Hope you're feeling like your ol'e self,Tim. Take care and see you later, 9ballbilly

Comments:I would like to say that I have three of your sticks. I started with you sneekepeak, moved up to medium stick than got a more top of line one. I just want to say I like the way they hit and feel. I have 7 other compedators sticks and nothing can compare to the quality and workmanship of your sticks. So I am currently selling off the other sticks and just using yours. Thanks for making such great sticks. I hope to stop in your shop next time I am in Baltimore. Thanks again!!!

Comments:Tim, What can I say, I currently own 6 sneaky's and 2 nice TS cues, they play almost as good as I do. The shaft wood is second to none which makes the cue. Forget the radial lamination or current butt grease offered by the marketing department, if you believe a specific alignment on the shaft works better, just shoot that way all the time. I guess that wouldn't sell too many laminated shafts though. In my book, I recommend your cues to all that can get them. When I factor in the price of groceries for the month compared to the number of times I play pool, divided by the cost of one of your cues, it is a bargain. Thanks, and of course I'm still waiting on the mail to deliver my racinchaison personalized cue paid for by the marketing I would provide:)

Besides all of that, He is a great person to do business with.He has helped me on a couple of items in the past when it would have been easy to say no. A great cuemaker such as Tim keeps busy and it would be easy to lose track of taking care of his customers. He does business "The Old Fashioned Way, with honesty and integrity. Thanks Tim for making it a pleasure to do business with you. Comments:Just bought one of your early cues from Joe Salazar in Fort Worth. It is a 4 point with diamonds in the butt and I am enjoying it immensely. It had only one shaft and I would like another, but would not think of fitting a predator shaft. The current shaft has two silver rings and is black. I will send pics if that will help. Jeff

JOHN WHO ALSO WORKS THERE, ALSO FITS THE SAME MOLD AND PERSONALITY OF TIM AND MIKE. I AM NOW WORKING ON FOUR (4) DEALS TO GET ME ANOTHER ONE OF HIS CUES BY TRADING, BUT NO ONE SEEMS TO WANT TO LET THERE TS CUSTOM CUES GO. O'WELL, I WILL HAVE TO KEEP TRYING AND SWEETEN THE DEALS A LITTLE TO GET ONE OF THE FOUR TO BE A FROG AND JUMP ON ONE OF MY GRACY DEALS!

Comments:Was lucky to pick up my first (won't be the last) TS cue at Valley Forge last weekend. I believe it is an early or mid 80's model. I couldn't be more pleased with its s-m-o-o-t-h and authoritative hit. Definitely a brilliant players' cue. Now, how do I go about becoming a brilliant player? lol! Best regards to Tim & Mike. Comments:Mike, thanks for getting back to me on the cue I purchased at the Valley Forge Expo. I had played with a Paradise I bought back in 1962 and it was stolen when I was in the service. I was excited when I saw this Scruggs which was similar in design and knew I had to have it. It really plays nice. Hope to get to your shop in Maryland someday, Michael
