| Comments: | I just acquired a 2006 Scruggs cue with green veneer and ivory joint. The cue appears to be in immaculate condition and I appreciate the attention to detail and craftsmanship this cue exemplifies. I feel fortunate to hnow own a cue that came from the very shop where Tim and Mike worked side by side. I realize that this e-mail may not reach Tim, or for that matter, even get read from anyone affiliated with him now that his involvement with cue has coem to its seeming end. But I figured, and hoped, that it was worth a shot to leave a message. I'd love to have another shaft made that more in line with my size preference than the two 13mm shafts the cue has. I'd like to get a smaller shaft at say @12.75 mm but I'd also like it to match the collar on my cue if that's possible. Anyway, I feel a little like I'm sending a message in a bottle and tossing it into the ocean hoping it finds land somewhere. But in my case, I'm hoping it leads to something good. | Comments: | I've been searching endlessly trying to locate one of Tim's Bushka Tribute cues and in the last six months only found two owners of the cue. Neither was inclined to sell me the cue and are keeping the cue in their collection. I've posted so many messages on cue forums, especially AZbilliards, that people call me the "Bushka Idiot" because I never stop postings requests for help everyday for the past 2 months....people are getting upset with my seemingly incessant rhetoric and updates. I haven't much hope, or expectation, this message will reach Tim but I'm sorta like the inmate on death row awaitng execution...at this point, I've got nothing to lose by trying and I'm tapped out on ideas. People tell me to get a James White, Richard Black, or Paul Mottey Bushka Tribute cue or even Ariel Carmeli or a Steve Klein. But I admire and appreciate Tim Scruggs so much that I've resisted and passed on these othe cues which I sometimes having feelings of regret about. I'm 65 years old, greq up in Brooklyn & Manhaattan's poolhalls in the 60's & 70's and my taste in cues is pretty much the classic look. And Tim's Bushka Tribute design emulates that perfectly which is why I'm intent of getting one of his versions. I probably have anothyer 10-12 years of competitive left in me and then become more of an observer. But if that's all I have left, I want the remainder of my playing time to be with one of Mr. Scruggs Bushka Tribute cues. If anyone reads this message, and has any suggestions or dieas on how I might be able to locate such a cue, I would be greatly indebted. I've even offered a referral fee to anyone introduing me to an owner of a Scruggs Bushka Tribute cue that results in a sale....no luck. So I'll continue making a persistent fool of myself with my message postings because something you truly desire sometimes takes longer to acquire and as far as I'm concerned, Tim is the man....at least for my tastes. My contact information is matthew.m.brennan@comcast.net or bavafongoul@yahoo.com / cell # 559-977-6944. If you get this message, here's an old gaelic toast FOR Tim..... "MAY THE BEST DAY FROM YOUR PAST BECOME THE WORST DAY IN YOUR FUTURE." Congrats to Tim for being among the elite cue makers of all time along with Mr. Stroud....Hmn....interesting how the two of them are artistically similiar....working with Bill obviously has an influnce. I own a 70's Joss West 4 prong multi-veneer cue and it crying to be joined by its Corsican brother of a cue.....A Scruggs Bushka Tribute Cue...that I can hopefully afford. Matt |

| Comments: | Tim, I have just purchased one of your cues through a friend of mine who swears by your cues. As a matter of fact I have a few friends who are excellent players, and they all play with a Scruggs. I have always played with a Cognoscenti myself, but recently came across a great price on one of your cues. My initial intention was to buy and sell for a profit, that is until my friend dared me to play with it one night. Needless to say, I have made it my playing cue. I finally get why my friends play with your cues. Nothing against Cogs. They are great hitting cues, but I get better shape on the cue with an effortless stroke using my Scruggs. I felt like a kid in a candy store the first night I played with it, and couldn't wait until I played with it again. I rave about it so much that I have other friends considering the switch. I also have a whitten case on order and asked him to put your logo on it, because i have no plans on ever changing cues again. I know you have stopped making cues, but I would love to have one made by you if you ever start again. Thanks for the new found excitement that playing with your cue has brought me. I wish you all the best. |

Any possible truth to this? Any estimate of value? God Bless you and your fine products and contribution to the sport. |

| Comments: | I have a Tim Scruggs cue because of a once in a lifetime chance meeting. A player settled into a chair watching two other players battle in a one-pocket game. I heard him comment to another player that he was interested in trading cues because he preferred Schon cues. I owned a number of cues and just happened to have two Schons. I asked him what he wanted to pay as I showed him the cues. He said he preferred to trade and was I interested in a cue he showed me. I loved it at first sight and loved it even more when I hit the cue. I said I would trade a Schon for the cue and he said no - that he wanted bucks to boot. I said no to that but would he be interested in two Schon's for the cue. He jumped at that. And today my Tim Scuggs is the only cue I own. The player I traded with is a good friend today and keeps asking me to trade back. No way! That was 1987 and the offers I hear will never allow me to part with my Tim Scuggs. |

I also heard that Bob Frey is helping out at the shop. It's great to see how tight the industry is that when sombody needs help they yell "hey rube" and people come running. I will continue to keep a good thought for Tim and of course Bob's family. Losing a loved one is never easy especially this time of year. I lost my Daddy 3 years ago and it's still makes me cry not seeing him and drinking a beer with him on Christmas day. Take care and God bless. sincerely Rick Tomlinson. |

| Comments: | I have been waiting to get a pool stick from u since I was sixteen. I am now thirty and I havent played since I use to work at a bar. I remember one of the guys I played with had bought a used Tim Scruggs sneaky pete stick and he let me play with it and was the best cue I had ever played with. I used to work at the Islander Inn on Millers Island from when I was 14 until I was 18 and learned how to play pool on an urban kay bar table and getting my but kicked buy the owner and all the guys from route forty that played pool league there and they were not busch league guys either. I live in Dundalk and grew up watching Cigar Tom play at Running Out Billiards where I spent the rest of my time when I wasn't in school or working. I eventually turned out to become a pretty decent pool player and started holding my own against the guys at the bar. Any way I have been waiting a long time to have you make me a cue and I think this year might be the year because your cues are the ones I have been dreaming about since I was a kid. I even came into your shop one time and got to meet you which I thought was pretty cool but I didn't have the money to buy a cue from you. Anyway keep up the good work because you are a legend to a lot of pool players especially the ones from Baltimore! |

| Comments: | Tim Scruggs makes possibly the best hitting cue out there. I'm not much more than an average player (If even average) and a scruggs hits so well that I can even tell a difference. I own two now and plan on owning more. I have around 12 cues in my collection and they are the spotlight. Keep making fantastic cues Tim and I hope I get to try one of Mike Cochran's cues soon. |

| Comments: | I hate to date myself, but I've known Tim since '75. Anyone looking to order a one of a kind custom cue need not go any further than this site. First class workmanship and excellent playability at truly reasonable rates. Hmmm. Cochran, Scruggs, Cochran, Scruggs? Both excellent choices. |

| Comments: | Mr. Scruggs, I recently bought one of your cues that is an older, used cue-A Sneaky. I had read so many times how great your cues are that I couldn't resist this to try it. The cue hits very nice! I was wondering if you would make a new shaft for this cue? I've read that you do a new taper that people really love. I also read your disclaimer that you do not work on your cues if anyone else has worked on them. I have no reason to think this cue has been worked on by anyone else, but I do not know its history. Thanks, Ken Peters |

| Comments: | Hi,this is probably a strange question but, years ago Mike Massey came thru our town and my cousin purchased a "sneaky pete" from Mike.He passed away last month and his wife asked me to clean out his closet and small den.I found the "sneaky" pete cue(along with some other cues and stuff)and her's the weird part:there is a shaft with a small clear "window" that has the "TS" logo inside it.I was with my cousin at the pool room when he got the sneaky pete, and I had forgot he even had it.Is this a shaft you made for something else or something?I can't find anymore cues or cases in there,It's a mystery to me.Thanks,Scott. |

| Comments: | I am a serious pool player and cue collector. Although,my collection is just getting started. I have read and heard alot about yours and Mikes work. Some websites have your cues for sale also. If I buy one of your cues from one of these dealers how will I know it is genuine. I am particularly interested in one of your cues I saw on Onthehillcuesales.com. It has been on sale for $3850 several times but is presently selling for $4100. Conrad Amend |
