Comments:  There was nothing better than cranking them bombs or fixing a stupid malfunction. 462's partied everywhere and hung together not like the other sissy AFSC's. Damn air Force is always changing something just to screw with us. I guess the new 2XX whatevers couldn't count to four so that had to change. I had some damn good times with the "TOADS". Carrying five gallon coolers filled with Harvey Wall Bangers or some other wild ass weapons brew to the outdoor movies in Thailand. Dragging our asses back to the hooches and then sleeping for a couple and up and ready to load, burping Harvey's or whatever all day. Get to the hootch and start all over again. We stuck together and you knew you could count on you buds. this civilian world crap is just that, CRAP. we played hard and worked hard, Nobody gave a crap about us until trouble was brewing then it was light the Pentagon would flash a big 462 light AKA Batman) into the sky and then we were GODS. Hell without us the Air Force would be just another unscheduled Airlines. Keep cranking them bombs boys and I guess girls. Damn that's another thing that was hard, no pun intended, tits on the ramp. Go Toadies.

Previous Assignments:  Tech School 1980, Osan AB 80-82, Mather AFB 82-84, Kunsan AB 84-85, Taegu AB 85-89, George AFB 89-92, Hill AFB 92-97 Beale AFB 97-00. Numerous outrages trips to the PI and time in the big sandbox.
Comments:  As the days past by faster and faster I miss my time on the flightline, the smell of JP-4 and hydraulic fluid filling the air. Those were the best of times and sometimes the worst (Saudi). I was happiest when I pushed my toolbox out on the line and was loading bombs all day. Sometimes I dream that I'm wiring bombs and I wake up with a warm happy feeling! Loader for life!

Comments:  I was a "Buck SGT." weapons load crew chief in Ubon. At Hurlbert Field I worked on the only Attack Helicopter Sqdn in the USAF with its mini-gun systems.

Comments:  Well it seem that I was stuck in SAC most of my time in the USAF but base closures seemed to follow me every where I went. Sorry about Clark. I guess I have to take credit for that one too. Actually had orders there too, but was cancelled the day I was leaving due the closure of the base. Go Figure!!!
