Just the result both the team & fans needed coming off the back of a good result at Braintree. This result hopefully will be a further injection of confidence needed ,as we look to put a run together. It will take a few matches for the new players to bed in ,but there experience can hopefully assist the younger players in the side . We defended from the front against boro ,the work rate of both Beckford & Jolly was the benchmark & indeed others followed suit Ross White & Graham Montgomery being a prime example. Luke Woods will of benefitted from playing in a local derby & pulled off several good saves & as the game went on the side showed the benefit of having a bit more experience in the side ,in previous games we have got a lead ,but never kept them or extended them ,but with the blend of the side being different we seemed able to do so . If the side can stay injury/suspension free a top half of the table position is achieveable . The players have set the benchmark from a workrate perspective ,can they now maintain it & the performace levels (2nd half against boro ). Its achievable but can it/will it be delivered ? |

| Comments: | Its sunday evening & I am reflecting upon the stones woeful display against an average Burnhan side in the FA Cup (lost 2-4). Had the management put out a team that was a mixture of youth team & first team ,many would of thought ahh well thats what you are gonna get from such a blend,but alas we did not & the performances from a team that has players who have both non league experience & believe they had the right to expect a contract from Wealdstone ,should really have a long hard look at themselves. The players that took the field in a Wealdstone shirt in this match showed no passion ,no desire ,very little commitment ,no communication with each other & seemed content to be second best in every aspect of the game & some even lacked the ability to make a ten yard pass or head the ball correctly !.
The real two big questions that have to be asked are ,do the current squad of players have a desire to give of there best to show pride ,passion & commitment & DO the management team believe they have the skills to get these qualities out of these players ?. I have supported this club for 44 yrs man & boy & not for many yrs had i observed a display that was so shambolic it could of been in any park on a sunday morning . As a supporter I believe I & others have a right to expect better . I know all teams have the "bad day at the office" & supporters expect that from time to time ,but what is currentley being served up as entertainment ,is not pleasing to the eye & not worthy of £8 to watch . The honeymoon for the new squad is over its time to deliver ! ! ! ! |

| Comments: | i just like to point out that your youth team has alot of talent especially that young midfielder john christian and sam sharples but i think one to keep is your young goalkeeper michael lavender. i have seen him playing for the youths along with a few games for the reserves and i believe he is one for the future and i understand a few clubs coming in for him so make sure you hang on to him and other players if you want to progress in the future. |
