| Comments: | I had to have my 14 and a half year old mini pin Hannah put down on July 9,2011. Out of the blue she started having seizures on a Friday afternoon. It was awful watching her have them and not being able to help her. By Saturday morning poor old Hannah Nannah was in so much pain she couldnt stop yelping!! I love her like she is my child and miss her sooo much but I couldnt watch her hurt any more. I asked her if she wanted me to set her free from the pain so she looks up at me and rubs her nose across my cheek as to say please help me!! She was dying and would have been gone by 1:00 pm anyways but I gave her the gift of freedom and at 10:44 am on July 09,2011 my Hannah was at peace. No matter where I went or what i was doing She was there right by my side!! Now theres an empty spot there and it breaks my heart not being able to hold her and kiss her now. She gave me the best 14 and a half years of my life and I sure hope to be reunited with her when my time comes to pass. I love you Hannah and miss you dearly!!!! |

| Comments: | Hi Tom- I came across your site while looking at stuff on the Planet Hammond website. I am from Hammond and have spent 40 of my 54 years here. I remember Hammond when it was a bustling place as well. Your tribute to Ross Allen is very touching- I lost a very special friend "Rosie-Posie" after 17-1/2 years, 2 years ago. Not a day goes by that I don't remember what a special friend she was to me. I hope you and Hank are enjoying life! |

| Comments: | I've had this website saved for almost a year. I lost my best friend and refridgerator buddy, Mandy in April of 2010 and wanted to print the poem "I cried again today" to put next to a picture of her and her urn. I never could get around to doing it because it was just too hard for me to think of her and how much it hurt when she left. I finally got the courage to do it and, even though it hurts to think of, I think I've finally dealt with her passing now. I loved that dog to death. We found her as an abandoned puppy on the side of the road almost dead. We helped her make a full recovery and she got to lead the best life a dog could live. I miss her and will never forget her. I've never had a dog like that show unconditional love like she did.
Anyway, your website is a beautiful tribute to your best friend. Makes me tear when I view it. Ross Allen couldn't have been with anyone better than you. They know it too. I always saw it in Mandy's eyes. Bless you and I wish you the best. Makes me feel better that they are waiting in heaven for us someday to reunite. |

| Comments: | Hi Grandpa,
Thanks for sharing your devotion to Rossie Pup. My Shaggy passed away this morning peacefully while my wife and I was at work. He probably didn't want the family to be any sadder than we already are now. I reckon I will break into sobs and shed a tear or two whenever I look at his bowl or his leash. There are many beautiful memories of him and one of my greatest wish is for him to greet me at the Pearly Gates when it's my turn to meet the Lord. Your website is really comforting and Rossie must have been a very very sweet dog. |

| Comments: | What a wonderful tribute to your best friend. I can't stop crying and wondering so many different things. I had to put my beloved Great Dane down 3 days ago. She was 11 yr old & had been living w/bone cancer for over a yr. I still don't know if I did the right thing because there were days she acted like a puppy yet. Then other days she could hardly get down or up. But she was losing a lot of weight & the vet said her heart & lungs were not doing good. I didn't want her to suffer or be in pain. But oh how I miss her so. I don't feel secure any longer....that deep big bark of hers always made me feel secure. She was the greatest. Never left my side & wouldn't even go for walks w/anyone else. I can't quit crying. I'm at work & crying and feeling like an idiot. I'm hoping someday I'll have another friend, but right now, I can't even think about it. Thx for your story. Both are handsome boys. I just can't help but wonder where they go. Lexie wouldn't do anything w/out me right there with her. So I keep wondering if she's ok. I pray our wonderful pets will be in heaven for us. |

| Comments: | Your website is wonderful. I lost my best friend a year ago and it was a shock. He was 17 but doing really well healthwise. Then one day he wasn't doing so great and it just went downhill from there.
I miss that dog every single day. I think of him every single day. I look at his portrait or his urn or his harness and leash. It has gotten easier for me too. It isn't good by any means, but a little easier. I too got a new friend, one month after Sam passed. She is a great dog and reminds me alot of him. Thanks for this wonderful site. It means alot to me to know that someone out there loved their dog as much as I loved mine. |

| Comments: | Tom-I love this website for your precious Ross Allen. I knew you from Pet Loss and now from the LH site. I am so glad to relize that there are people like you who dearly and truly love their four legged "family" members. I have lost 3 beautiful and wonderful puppers since 2005. Candy-Cindy and Patty and the tears are still rolling down my face for them all.
God Bless You and your newest buddy Hank! |

Many of you have said that Ross Allen's web page has been a blessing to you and a help to you as you have dealt with your own grief. I'm so very glad to know that. It gives meaning to Ross's death, and it means that my Puppy is still a blessing to people in death, as he was in life. I know I will be reunited with him, and the next time we are together, there will be no more goodbyes. God bless each of you who has lost a soul mate. In my daily prayers, I ask God to comfort all who have suffered such losses. I don't pray for dog owners only; I ask God to comfort those who have lost any animal companion, regardless of species. | Comments: | What a beautiful story. So sad that you lost your beautiful Ross Allen, but what a wonderful life you shared together. He is absolutely gorgeous. I'm glad that you've healed enough to let love into your life again with Hank. He is beautiful also. May Ross Allen run like the wind at Rainbow Bridge until the day he picks up the scent of his forever friend, you, and goes running to greet you! What a glorious day that will be for both of you! Thank you for loving Ross Allen as you do, and for loving Hank also. |

| Comments: | What a beautiful, dignified dog! That look in his eye is absolutely "human." I pray that God continues to comfort you in your loss. I'd like to recommend a book for you called Eternal Life for Animals by Niki Shanahan. While the Scriptures don't directly address the issue of animals in heaven, there are plenty of 'hints' that our beloved pets will be there with us. Be blessed, brother.

| Comments: | Thank you for your website. It offered comfort and hope to us today. Our yellow lab of 12 yrs passed away today. June 11, 2008 "Murphy" He was a fine dog and ended his life as a fighter. He lived with cancer that we tried to remove a year ago. It was very large and would of killed him to remove it. He was not expected to live long, but stayed around to enjoy our new baby, who is now 17 months and his family. I know that God is all loving and thank you for verse reference to Do dogs go to Heaven?
Sincerely, Marlo Hawkins |

I look into that gray face and start to tear up because I know he will not be with me forever, like I wish for. I am truly sorry for your loss, but happy you found another love to fill that large hole in your heart. No one ever expects it to hurt that bad, but it does all the same. I wish you continuing healing and new memories with Hank. |

| Comments: | March 16, 2008 We lost our little Yorkie, Lucy this past week. She was the most wonderful little girl in the world. She had a collapsed trachea, which we had tried for two months to fix. She had a stent put in, but she never did quit coughing. Each breath was such a struggle, she was suffering and we could do no more for her. She was almost 9. Her birthday was going to be on the 27th. My husband and I have never felt as much pain in our lives, and we hope we can move on too. Blessings to you and your doggies, I know we will all meet in heaven. That is what helps us to move on also. God Bless, Cheryl |

Your memories we treasure, Loving you always, Forgetting you never. Dear Tom, I have this poem engraved on Molly's urn which I keep my bed. I miss her so much and think of her everyday. Ross Allen was very lucky to have you in his life, as well as him to you. Our furbabys are here on earth way too short, but they leave the sweetest paw prints in our hearts. Molly died on April 4, 2007 and I will always have a very special place in my heart for her as well as my new puppy Maggy. I'm sure Hank will have a beautiful life with you as well. God bless our special angels at the Rainbow Bridge until we meet again. |
