Went to see Gary Numan last night in Manchester and while never a fan (my girl is) have to admit he was bloody good funny to hear the pseudo Weller chants of "Numan" though. | Comments: | when i was around 8-9yr old - am 38 now - there was this tune i heard on the radio. as all good songs, the tune stays in your head, you cant escape it. anyway, i never got to the end of the song getting played, as i was asked to run down to the shops for my mum. so off i went running and sining/humming this song i heard - my own interpretation of it. i never ever heard that song again. the tune always crept into my head every now and again for many, many years and it drove me mad trying to find out this song from my childhood that was loose inside my head. i had the tune, but not the correct words. I eventually found the song when i was 31 years old after years of trying to remember the tune and some of the words. internet searches couldnt help. i actually phone a radio station to help with my despair and when a caller called and put me out my misery!!!! I loved the song back then and i enjoy it more today and everytime i hear it.
This song was my first song i could recall back as actually begining to like music. So it means a lot to me. "MY WORLD" - one of the best fekin songs ever written!!! True story. |

Waited 32 years, having first seen Secret Affair in 1979 in Newcastle City Hall, donned the dress I wore then and relived my youth on Saturday night. | Comments: | The band will be onstage approx 9.30pm - 11pm and then the club remains open as an aftershow until approx 1am with guest DJs which the band specially requested so everyone can stay at the venue and relax without having to look for somewhere else to go to. The show is looking like selling out by the end of next week so there may not be any tickets left on the door I'm afraid!

| Comments: | TrACEy - mod regards. The Kelso gig in May - would love to come and bring the missus and the kids. They are both under 10 - the kids that is, not the missus! - . Is this gig recommended with them being so young? Will there will be a kind of "festival" vibe to the gig?. Its really important that I find this out as this is a "rite of passage" gig for me as I would love my daughters to be introduced to SA as I wasn't too much older myself (I was 12) way back in 1980 when I first caught Ian, Dave and the boys.

What a nice guy -arranged to meet me and my mate after the gig so he could introduce us to the Jam. No agenda no cracking on to two young probably very green girls.
