Great website, very informative and un-biased which I appreciate. You mention the Alfa 156 GTA but have you considered the 164 cloverleaf? A genuine 150mph supersaloon. With the post-1994 24v engine (230hp) and all wheel drive system (the latter being LHD only) they are a sensational drive. I drive an Alfa 75 3.0 V6 with several enhancements. Not quite in the 'Fastest' league but never the less, great fun and plenty of grunt. |

| Comments: | I was browsing the Internet for more information on the Galant vr-4, when i cam across you web page. I noticed that you had a few facts right, but there were also some glaring mistakes, i know this because i own a VR-4. you stated that the car weighed in at 3344 lbs, actually its upwards of 4100 lbs. you were right about the front engine all wheel drive, and you were right about it being a turbo DOHC motor, however it is a 2.0L 4cyl. not a 2.5L 6cyl. and there is only one turbo on the car as opposed to two. the engine in fact is the 4G63, which is also found in the Plymouth laser, the Eagle talon, the Mitsubishi eclipse, and the Mitsubishi lancer evolution series. You seem to have mixed several of the facts of the Galant VR-4 (or gvr) with the 3000GT VR-4 and Dodge Stealth R/T, the 3000GT VR-4 and the Stealth R/T do have a V-6 twin turbo although it is a 3.0L. You also stated the gvr had 276hp from the factory, while in reality it only had 195hp, further more 276hp is actually the maximum amount of horse power cars can come from the factory in japan by law. you seemed to also allude to parts of the car coming from a lancer evolution, this would be impossible, because the gvr was only sold stateside from 91-92 and in japan from 89-92, also the lancer was actually designed from the gvr as a replacement for Mitsubishi's World Rally program, hence the "evolution" that designated the special edition lancer. In addition there was no special shifting set up in the transmission, the Galant vr-4 was only available in a 5 speed manual transmission. You also made remarks to the effect that the body styling of the gvr differed from other Galant's of the era, while this is true it was only subtle and almost unnoticeable. Also while the Galant did feature leather seats, they were not made by Recaro. lastly as a GVR owner i must ask you to mention the fact that the GVR was a limited production model, with 2000 being publicly sold in '91, and 1000 sold in '92, although there were actually about 5 extra shipped in '91 and about 4 extra shipped in '92, however they did not receive the numbered name badge, and were given to high ranking Mitsubishi officers.

| Comments: | Hi. Its really nice site you have here. One thing though. You obviously have never been to Estonia. In police car section theres something I really must bring to your attention. First - I dont remeber having ever seen Dacia in Estonia. And theres really not too much Skodas around, and those which are, are mostly Fabias and Octavias. Maybe one car of 10 is Lada or Moskvich. I believe 70-80% cars in Estonia are less than 10 years old, so Estonia doesnt differ from other European countries that much. Second - Estonia is definatley not an heaven for car thieves. Most cars which are stolen from Europe INCLUDING Estonia end up in Russia. From where very few come back. Third and last - Subaru on your picks was recently used for escorting VIP's. I have never seen them used by ordinary patrols. 2,2 litre Opel Vectra is commonly used, also Mazda 626, WV Golf Variant. |

It must be so cool to pull up at the lights in a nice understated black (or silver I suppose) RS4 or a Brabus and watch the driver of a souped up civic (for example) think he (or she) is gonna whip you when they change. Even if you are above the traffic light grand prix, knowing that you could wipe the smile of their face must be sweet.

| Comments: | After A quick glance I see that there is a car that is not getting it's share of intention. I now I'm biased because I own one, but WHERE ARE THE S.H.O.'s. They basically started the four door perfomance sedan market (besides BMW's) but cost a lot less and were even faster. Car and Driver had it one the Cover in 1989 and the caption read "Americas best sport sedan". Americas Best Sport Sedan deserves some praise. My 90 can keep up with most midpriced sport sedans 12 years later, not bad. I have even seen blown ones getting in the 12's |

Great site man, showing all the cars that I can`t afford! I was particularly taken with the police cars and especially by the Sussex ones seeing I work at HQ where a good deal of them visit if not get stored.
