I am a cousin connected through the McGarry/O'Dell link. My McGarry's go back to Mathew McGarry, Andrew's father. I am from his brother John's line. I have been working on a book for the McGarry Clan in the new world. I believe Mathew may have been born in Ireland and came to America sometime around 1865-1870, although I have not found the ship he came on. | Comments: | I have been looking for so long to find my great grandmother's family. Can you help. She was Emma Thomas born in 1860, and I do not know where. She married David Jones in Greene Co. TN They are both buried at Mt. Tabor here in Greene, Tn, where I live. There is a Malinda buried there also. In the Greene census for 1850 it list Andy Thomas born NC age 21 and wife Nelly 18 born TN. It list in another home Barney born VA as 29 wife Elmira age 24 Born NC and children Mary E. born in VA, which I thought was my grand mother but she was 5 in 1850 and her tomb stone says 1860. Sarah who was 2, and James Bird 73 who was born in Ireland.
