My other comment deals with the mix. Don's vocals were in the mud, made them hard too understand. The bass guitar was overpowering at times and sounded like the EQ may have been a little off too. Bobby's vocals on Second Chance were clear so I don't know what was going on with Don's mix. Other than that... can't wait to see you guys rock again! |

Rode my Wing 500 miles from Northern Colorado to see the show and will be riding another 500 miles to Councl Bluffs Iowa to see the show on 7-12. Played a 45 min set, way too short.... Seats were front center, in front of Donnie all night, NICE!!!!! Donnie was running side to side all over the stage as always... One highlight was I was wearing my FL Gators hat and handed to Donnie and he signed it.... HELL YEAH!!!!! Anyways next time we'll see the Boyz will be on the Simpleman Cruise 2010.... | Comments: | My son is coming in from Afghanastan in September for two weeks R and R. He will get in two days after the boys play in my Hometown of Parkersburg, WV. I just bought tickets for the show in Ohio on 9\6\2009 to take him. It is a 5 hour drive, but 38 Special is one of his favorites, and after 15 months in Irag and 8 months in Afghanastan, he deserves it. And with the concerts I've got line up, it will be the sixth time I will see them in less than a year. Keep on Rockin', and God Bless! |

I've waited for 20 years to see the band. We came to Florida in September 2001 and we missed a chance to see a concert owing to the terrorist attacks I've finally got another chance to get to San Diego in September and try as I might the nearest concert is in NM some 1000 miles away when I'm over. Sometimes life is very unfair, looks like I'll never get to see the band - I think the last time ou did Europe was in about 1980. I'ts disappointing for us in the UK Oh well I can at least pray that one ay you'll do the Sweden Rock Festival in Solvesborg - thats less than a 1000 miles! Simon |

Last night's performance , I was really upset with!! I paid for VIP tickets, and ya'll played for a whopping 45 minutes!! Seriously, what's up with that?? I thought ya'll were the main attraction. I also went to the concert in Las Vegas, NV two weeks before and really enjoyed it too. I also saw 38-Special in Wendover, NV in March. I really like it better when they perform by themselves. Remember Southern Spirit tour, how about the Grizzly Rose and the Buffalo Rose well gents their house photographer is back and better. Still doing the stage gig but a hospital now, strange how 14 years change yet remain the same. The Starship should have been backing you guy's up. When Jefferson Starship came on stage to do their set, the crowd was chanting none stop for 38 Special to come back on. Through the first two songs the crowd was relentless. Grace Slick was so pissed off, she walked off the stage giving the finger. This pumped up the 38 Special crowed even more. The Starship was booed badly. Jefferson Starship kept playing though without Grace Slick. She really didn't sing much songs for the band by then. She did eventually came backout. 38 Special blew away the main act at the Worcester Centrum in Massachusetts. |

You're in awesome shape, guitar solo was great. And there's no denying Donnie! the fog surrounding him with his hat down gives chills to anyone who appreciates an outlaw. Though only your voices, music, drummer are needed I imagine a screen with running horses and flaming barns would have just put the right addition to the incredible band you are. A long time ago, almost twenty years now, I thought my life was over, medically, I went out to the Olympic Wilderness on a lonely stretch of beach on the Pacific Coast to search. All I had with me was a transistor radio and it picked up only one station. The night I turned it on the first song I heard was "Second Chance." this song gave me the courage to live again! It was that one singular life changing event! It was quite a battle, but I made it back! Thanks 38. for my life! I will never forget what you did for me with that song! |
