Got back home last night from Tampa. I can not thank you guys enough for making the Simple Man Cruise an awesome time. From the moment you guys hit the stage kicking off the cruise to your last show Sunday night it was AWESOME!!!!! You guys were great on the ship as was all the other bands. Friendly, chatting with the fans, taking pictures, signing stuff, etc.... Thank's for a GREAT TIME. See you in August (Webster, MA) and hopefully more shows will be added in the New England area. Don and Donnie especially looked like they were having the time of their lives. And the closer - "Livin' in the USA/Travelin' Band" - was outrageously terrific. | Comments: | Caught the show at NY State Fair on Tuesday and in Verona in July. Awesome as usual at the fair but I felt that you got shafted in Verona.Your set was too short. Styx was too distorted and REO was too political. You guys were spot on like the last 20+ shows that I have had the honor of seeing you guys. You guys truly get the "giving your money's worth" theory when putting on a show. Although it seems like sometimes nobobody recognizes what a great band that you are, the true 38 fans know whats good.I hope that you continue to do what you guys do best for many years to come. | Comments: | the first time i got to see 38 special was in lake placid ny in the 80's and then again in portland maine, and that was the last time.when i went to iraq in 90-91 i took all of their music with me and listen to them as offten as i could, then agin in 06-08 when i went back to iraq i again took all the music i had of them to listen to, it helped my forget where i was the most part and it was like a touch of home. could anyone tell me if 38 special plans on coming to the new elgland area agin any time soon. i so need my fix of these guys in person, thank god for bands like 38 special...god bless you and keep up the good work |

| Comments: | Saw 38 special for the first time in Syracuse NY. This just happens to be where their Extended Versions/Encore Collection was done LIVE. YES I was there and I was front row and much younger than I am today. However, that did not stop me from once again seeing them LIVE at the Turning stone on July 2. They were the opening group for Styx and REO. All three bands Rocked. Being a fan of all three plus quite a few other bands. 38 Special was out in front by a full length. They absolutely sounded the same as they did in the early 80's. They were absolutely AWESOME. Check there schedule and go see them again and again. IT's such a natural high!!! AAAHHHHHHH !!! |

| Comments: | In April this year we found a triple bill not to be missed!! July 1 we left Ottawa,ON for Verona,NY for the show with Styx and REO on July 2/09 This is a 4 1/2 hour ride well worth it (and will do it again !!) to see all of you guys. Finally getting the chance to see you play for the first time!! My intro to 38Special was a video for the song "Teacher,Teacher" and been a fan every since getting any CD I can find. Took lots of pics and had a blast!! Come on up and see us some time at any of the festivals near here and see you again soon!!

| Comments: | Caught the show last night in Wheeling, WV. This is the fifth time I have seen the band, and I have three more lined up in the next 33 days, the last one with my son. The show was great. .38 can hold its own with any band in the world and can blow most away. The energy is always peak and they always have fun. This is truly a band that never just goes through the motions. This is what Rock-And-Roll was meant to be. It's the band, the fans, and the music. And it doesn't get better than .38 Special. |

Played a 45 min set, way too short.... Seats were front center, in front of Donnie all night, NICE!!!!! Donnie was running side to side all over the stage as always... One highlight was I was wearing my FL Gators hat and handed to Donnie and he signed it.... HELL YEAH!!!!! Anyways next time we'll see the Boyz will be on the Simpleman Cruise 2010.... | Comments: | My son is coming in from Afghanastan in September for two weeks R and R. He will get in two days after the boys play in my Hometown of Parkersburg, WV. I just bought tickets for the show in Ohio on 9\6\2009 to take him. It is a 5 hour drive, but 38 Special is one of his favorites, and after 15 months in Irag and 8 months in Afghanastan, he deserves it.
