Comments:Jim - I had a great time this weekend! Thank you for being so gracious. You are surrounded by some outstanding guys too (and Lisa!). Larry, Bob, Ed, Mike, Scott, Toby, Klem - all working their asses off with you to put on a great show, and all took time to make me feel welcome. I heard some of the POL guys (M & E) acknowledging each other's performance after the show - thanking the other for another great night...after several years of playing together - you can't beat that!! I even got to meet your lovely wife, Karen briefly. You are truly a blessed man and I know you know that! Keep it coming! Hope to see ya around. Kathy with a K that comes after Jim with a J.

Comments:Hi Jim-I really enjoyed the show in Downers Grove last night. It was so cool to see a smallish rather unenthusiastic crowd turn into a HUGE crowd of fans won over! I know you live for that. My buddy and I were commenting before you guys went on that many looked like they were expecting a magic show and were about to get rocked. Loved "Vehicle" BTW. I was in Bratilava Slovakia recently and heard you guys on the radio there...pretty cool huh?
I'd love to see you do an album of "Faith". You commented that you're not religeous (that's good), Christ wasn't either. So when the Spirit moves...

Comments:Hey Jim! Just wanted to say what a great time I had seeing the Pride of Lions in Downers Grove last night. It was a blast and I am so glad the weather held up (I did a no rain chant). Hopefully you will do a few more shows with the band in the area. What more can you say about Toby but the man has such a golden voice and sings with such emotion. I thought it was so sweet that he sang part of The Search is Over to his girlfriend. He is our best kept secret for sure. The rest of the band I am familar of course with because of World Stage and they were tight. Sorry I won't make it to see the Ides tonight but I will see you and the guys at Glendale Heights. Take care Jim and great job as always.

Now that you have done an album for the "Golden Throat" himself: Jimi Jamison, I hope soon you will do an album for the "Screamin' Eagle": Dave Bickler.

If you consider to do an album with Dave soon, please give a new life for the old old songs "Life Is On The Line" and "Kid Dynamite".

I can't undertsand why these two songs never made the final cut for the first Survivor album.

Take care Jim

Last night we went to see The Buckinghams at the Berwyn
100 years Centennial. I was on the right side (facing
the stage).

Were you there last night with your wife, and a young
couple? Cause I spotted you...in fact you were in front
of me. When Carl made an announcement that Dolores
Chapman, their Xpres of the original fan club, was in the
audience......that was me! The short lady with the red top.

Anyhow, can you please let me know if I was right and that
was you....or not! I'm dying of curiosity.

Wish I could see you perform at the fest, but I'm an
actress (unemployed, or course) and I can't afford the
$3 ticket plus the gas money to return, as we live in
Deerfield.

My friend Patricia Signorella, was a big fan of your group
and saw you many times in the old days....she was from Forest Park.
I'm listenting to your music as I write this.....and I
love it!

Thanks for your time.....hope to catch you sometime
in the future.

I am honored to have read the book "Songwriting for Dummies". As a matter of fact, I'm still reading it and finding inspiration every time! If it wasn't for this book, I wouldn't look at music the same way I do now. I'm trying to find a constructive way to capture the sparks of creativity that's flowing through me, I don't want to miss out on a great song the world may never hear! I would like to thank you again for your inspiration.

I won tickets from WDRV to see your Soundstage performance April 30th with World Stage. I absolutely LOVED the show and certainly wasn't expecting almost 4 hours of great music! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your show. I always loved The Ides of March and it was great to see the band and also to listen to all the great songs from the other artists. I have to admit I had no idea what a prolific songwriter you are, and I am now a big fan of yours.

Take care and keep on rockin'!

My two boys, ages 9 & 11, are BIG fans (as am I). The "discovered" Vehicle after seeing it covered by another band on television. I told them that they really needed to hear the original, and they were blown away. There's also a great live version by the Ides on You Tube. They also dig all of the Survivor songs, especially Eye of the Tiger (big Rocky fans). We live in Dwight, home of your friend and colleague Cathee Clausen. Actually, her husband is my son Owen's Boy Scout leader.
Good luck in your future endeavors. I enjoy hearing you on WLS on occasion. Rock on!

I have two songs up on My Space that I would like you to listen to when you can find the time. I was the Lead Vocalist and second Lead Guitar for a Rock Band based out of Melrose Park from 1970-97. During the the early 80's I was a Talent Agent for the late great Impact Entertainment.

I have had my day as it were, now I spend most of my time composing and recording at home. I play and sing everything except for the drum tracks. I am not looking for, or asking for anything other than an honest opinion of my work from a Pro. The two songs are "Give Me My Shades Of Grey" and "What's Life After All". I live in Berwyn and I know you grew up here and still reside in the Chicagoland area. I hope you can find time to give a listen.

Wishing you the best of success!

I live in the Chicagoland area. I am looking for an agent for my husband. He is a songwriter (lyrics/music/keyboard). He used to perform back in the 80's for a band called Ruffian. This band actually recorded at CRC studios while you were recording Eye of the Tiger, and I believe that they backed up Survivor at ChicagoFest. They also recorded with Paul Anka in '84. Please call me at 773-714-3645 if you are interested in reviewing what he has to offer. It would be an honor. Respectfully - Phyllis

I'm dating a girl from Connecticut and I'm bringing her out here to see the Chicago River go green on Saturday, so we're going out of our way to see you in the evening in Elgin, yet were totally psyched. Huge hit for me in high school dude. (Yes, I've grown up - a little - since.) Second item: I knew a guy from Westchester or LaGrange who was a star quarterback in high school who I knew my freshman year at Notre Dame through my roommates, who knew him well, but he was well into his 20's (1970). He never went to college but worked for Papermate Pens for a while. He and my roommates claimed he was a drummer for the band but left before you guys got famous with "Vehicle". He used to barely skirt the law and I don't know what happened to him or if he is still alive. Does this ring a bell? Who was this and are you available for a meet and greet after the concert? If not, can you do a shout out to Dave and Diane?

Comments:Jim,

About 4 years ago I was getting on an airplane coming home to Chicago from yet another business trip and had my iPod on shuffle. LA Goodbye comes on and the homesickness, being on the road too long, memories of listening to that song in my parent's dining room hit me and I started to cry. Not just a little. Giant sobbing like a 4 year old lost at the mall.

At that moment I decided my life is to short to spend on the road away from my family. I left Corporate America to a happier life.

Fast forward to November 2006. You played Borders Orland Park for the Drive's CD and played LA Goodbye. Started crying again. Bought the CD and tried to tell you the story when you signed it but did not give it the justice it deserves.

Want to thank you for writing this song that became a significant emotional experience for me that changed my life.

I am another Southside guitar player. Pretty sure we jammed at a party in the 70s in Beverly. Where can I buy the sheet music for LA Goodbye? Words & Chords, I am not a real musician, just a guitar player.

We photographed a friend of your's, Gary Loizzo's son's wedding on 7.7.7. Check out my the portfolio section of our website and look at the 7.7.7 Wedding.

Thanks again for the music and inspiration,

Tim

Thanks for reflecting on the past and looking toward the future as you continue to put together year after year another "World Stage".

Most people get a warm fuzzy from music from the past, as it reflects on there life journey. Music connects you to that journey. I see year after year so many people with smiles on there faces when "World Stage" is over. You can see that warm fuzzy.

Music of the future is so important as it really does influence our chilren and young adults. I put in an Anthony Gomes CD at home and my 15 year daughter was boppin to his music. I thought that was awesome!!

Anyhow thanks for the memories, and for having a mini reunion with Jimi Jamison (Survivor)!!!! That gave me a warm fuzzy (reflecting on my own life journey) as Survivor will always be my favorite band!

Eugenia Lindquist

P.S. Next World Stage, you should have a section for people that want to dance and be rowdy as not to disturb others!(a standing room only type section).

Saw WorldStage last night at COD and was not only rocked but overwhelmed with the nostaglia of the Chicago rock scene. I played keyboards in a band named Dream and we opened for Survivor at Studio One in Downers Grove in, I think '82. We closed our set with Hold on Loosely which you had just penned for .38 Special and I look back on that night of my short "career" in rock as as close as I could have gotten to understanding the high of performance.

Thanks for all the great tunes and for following your Dream for all of us.

I am greatly looking forward to you joining me once again as my celebrity co-host of this week's "Night Rock" radio show on X-ROCK 103.9 (6-9pm). It's always such a pleasure my friend to share your wonderful body of music and your many stories from the rock 'n' roll trenches with my listeners.

Cheers!

Comments:Jim, Don't know if you remember me but i was friends with
Bill Daughtry, Randy Sutter, Eric Dahlberg, Jimmy Johnson,
and Dave and Marc.
Last time i talked to you was in the lobby at the Park West
about 17 years ago at a Cheap Trick concert. The backup band was loud and sucked so we went to the lobby to have some beer's. I have seen all of the World Stage shows and Pride Of Lions. Your great.
I'll be in front row center with my friends on Feb 16.
Actully it's realy the 3rd row because they added 2 extra rows in front. Hope I get a chance to talk to you,
Dave
