| Comments: | Jim, the band, and the family...
We are deeply sorry to hear about your collective loss. Much too soon, much too young, and much too music left unplayed. Joyce once mentioned to him she played trumpet in high school and John delighted in drawing a horn whenever he autographed her Ides shirts and CD's. The Sun Times article mentioned a memorial was being planned. Is there additional information on that at this time? Again, our deepest condolences and sympathy. Joyce and Al Vogt |

| Comments: | So sorry to hear about John Larson. I wasn't even aware that he was sick. My condolences, and those of my sister Betty and brother-in-law Dale McLean, as well. He passed way too soon and too young. It's funny, but I'm about to attend my 40th high school reunion in Cleveland and was reminiscing about the Ides playing at one of our events in my Jr. or Sr. year. He was one of the nicest guys I'd ever met, and a lot of fun too! Please convey our thoughts and prayers to the Larson family and the rest of the bandmates. |

| Comments: | Hi Jim,
Love your music and reputation, and all the comments here from your fans and friends. I was actually networking to find a great guitarist/singer for a private party. Although I know you must be out of our league in many respects, I wanted to try to reach you just in case. Just using the internet as a search tool has not been all that I thought it would be and we don't get out often enough nowadays to know all the local acts, as we once did - which worked for us finding a local musician to play a small private party! We are getting longer in the tooth I guess and not partying as much as the old days. If you check this site, please e-mail me to let me know your thinking or any referals would be great also. Thanks and best wishes! Paul |

I really enjoy your music with Ides of March and Survivor. You went to school with my family and my sister knows you. I would really like to meet you and add a signed Survivor album to my collection. I almost died the beginning of this year and all i listened to was survivor to get me through the trauma. If you can contact me that would be great. Your music was a great inspiration to me. Thanks you. |

I saw you at the Jethro Tull concert last night. I pointed you out to my son, Kevin Jr. and told him who you were. My son is an excellent drummer and percussionist. You were very gracious and encouraging. Thanks for taking the time for a picture and small conversation with my son. I saw you a few years ago at Naper Settlement in Naperville. You put on an excellent show. It is refreshing to see such a class act as yourself. I own a great catering company in the Western suburbs. I have been on The Food Network three times. If you ever need free back stage food at one of your gigs, let me know. I know my other son Chris (bass player ) would love to meet you. | Comments: | Dear Jim -
Wondering who I could speak to about licensing "Eye of the Tiger" for a film I'm doing for a local public TV station. It's a history of Reed College (It's their centennial) and the students there, during final exams, play "Eye of the Tiger" every hour on the hour at the library during the study period. It's a tradition. We filmed a campus chorus that does a pretty great acappella version and would love to include it in the film if we can reasonably clear the rights. Could you direct me to the contact person at your publisher? Many thanks! Beth Harrington |

My name is Jamie Kemsey and I work for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Tigers Alive Initiative (see www.panda.org/tigers). WWF is one of the world's oldest, largest and most respected biodiversity conservation organizations, and we are trying to save the wild tiger from extinction. Only 3,200 now survive across 13 countries in Asia. We all love your worldwide hit "Eye of the Tiger" and I want to enquire about the publishing rights. We would love to use it in a WWF internal only promotional film highlighting our conservation acheivements during 2010, the Year of the Tiger on the Chinese Lunar Calendar. How can I receive information on whether we are able to use the song? We are a non-profit organization with 501(C)(3) status in the United States. I work at the Tigers Alive Initiative headquarters in Malaysia. I can be reached at the above listed email address. Thank you graciously for your time and consideration of this request. Sincerely, Jamie Kemsey, Senior Manager, Communications, WWF Tigers Alive Initiative |

I am absolutely blow away by your work on Jimi Jamison's Crossroads Moment record. That is probably one of my favorite albums of all time. I had the pleasure of briefly meeting you at Fergie Fredrickson's benefit last June and what a thrill to see you perform with Jimi. I hope this is a small nugget of encouragement for a follow up to that fabulous record. Thank you for the music and the thoughtful lyrical content. |

I do remember the song you wrote for one our instuctors who was very sick and eventually died. Your a fine person and a credit to what young musicians should be. One question didn't you write a song that was a local favorite when you were at morton west? Good luck always |

Ron and Nancy, your old Willowbrook workout friends, again. Just emailing to say we saw ROCK OF AGES last night here in Clearwater, FL, and our daughter Chaylee (8 years old) immediately looked for your name in the program because she knew that SEARCH IS OVER is part of the show. (She already has the CD of the show and knows all the songs.) Sure enough she found your name. When the song came up in the show of course she said, "Jim sings it better!" Just wanted to make you smile! Ron, Nancy & Chaylee |
