| Comments: | Happy Birthday to all who had one this month...and congratulations on the street name dedication! I'll certainly check it out the next time I'm in Berwyn. John, it was good to see you at the Morton East reunion gathering last month. I had a really good time, and I'm looking forward to the next one. By the way have you or Chuck ever heard of "Poots" Walker? He used to play with the Duke Ellington band. He's an extraordinarily gifted and phenomenal trumpet player. Check him out!

| Comments: | Today we celebrate two birthdays which is always a special treat. First to the third member of the Babushka Brass and the hardest working teacher at Hubbard HS Dave Stahlberg. Enjoy your day off from school which I know you will and sorry that the Greyhounds did not advance further in the playoffs. Take care and enjoy your special day!
And last but not least to the man who makes me smile and someone that I admire not only for his musicianship but his great sense of humor Jim Peterik! Not to mention his sense of style which I tend to wonder sometimes but that just Jim. It was great to see you at the Borders in Oak Brook this past Sunday and it was such a treat to hear Hymn for Her and Is It Love. Sorry I did not get a chance to say HI but I am more mad that my camera battery went dead before I had a chance to take a picture of you with that hat. Anyway all the best to you on your birthday so enjoy! On that note I won't see you at the Norris Center in December but will be there for World Stage in January. Have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving and don't eat too much turkey LOL! |

| Comments: | Hey Scott! Great job on the radio this morning on Y103.9. I sure learn something new about the band and it made my morning to hear Vehicle. Also thanks for playing some of the other Chicagoland bands who I love to listen to as well. Hope they paid you big bucks for your internship HAHAHA! And yes I do have a hockey game tonight in ask you are wondering so it is a very good day for me. And of course thank you Scott for the date when the band had started so now I can wish a very happy 45th anniversary to the pride and joy of Berwyn Illinois! | Comments: | A street named after The Ides of March how cool is that. A big congratulations to each of you on such a tremendous honor. So proud and so happy that I became a fan of this band. Kind of funny in a way since I had those street signs made for you so long ago and here you have the real thing. Great article but what took them so long to do that LOL! I have to thank my friend Jeff who told me the news. Hopefully I will see you guys at Bob Stroud Rock n Roll Roots party or if not then World Stage in January.
And not to worry I am on top of the birthdays for next month. |

| Comments: | This street thing is Really cool! Here in Vegas they take about a year to name a street after an entertainer. Frank Sinatra Drive, Dean Martin Drive etc. But they weren't from Vegas. It took the Berwyn City Council like what, 2 minutes to agree. I have a lot of friends from Berwyn, besides you's guys, sorry had to say it, and they all have a great sense of pride when the Ides are mentioned. And you guys is from Berwyn, over by where der gonna name da street, how cool is dat! This is really a great honor. Now, lets plan the party / parade on "Opening Day". |

| Comments: | To Jim and the Band,
I have tickets to see you at Worldstage. I have to miss the Norris Cultural Center Christmas Show for my office Christmas Party. I saw you at Northbrook, Bensenville, and at Cicero (until the rain came). I would like to see an "inside" show at something like the MAC with just the Ides. Isn't it time for a 44th or 45th anniversary 3 or 4 hour show. YOur fans will buy the tickets if you will just put on the show!!! |

I hope you see this post. I met you 2 years ago at an Ides gig in Bolingbrook. My dad owned Henry's Hotdogs, and he was also a trumpet player. You and I graduated from Morton East in'67. There's a class reunion next weekend for us 60-year-olds at a place called Buck's Pit Stop in Hodgkins (near McCook) on Oct. 17th. I'm hoping you already know about this and are going to be there. I'm going to be there for sure. I hope to see you there...and talk about music.. Sincerely, Don Henry |

| Comments: | I saw you guys for the first time last night at Worth Days, and when I first walked up, I thought, 'who the hell are these guys'? All of you just blew me away with how great you are, and your show was really entertaining. I especially love Jim Peterik. He went out in the audience and walked up & down every row, playing the guitar, even standing on a chair at one point.
I really love his wild clothes, (especially those jeans with the holes in them), and that rhinestone belt & buckle with the peace sign. I had heard the name "Jim Peterik" mentioned on the radio before, but never got to experience the awsomeness of him and the Ides of March. You guys are just unbelievable! |

| Comments: | I thought you guys would get a kick out of this. Last night I was in Yorkville seeing American English. And while they were tuning up the song Vehicle comes on. I could not believe it and if that was not enough the next song was LA Goodbye. So I guess someone will be collecting royalties right Jim and by the way Eric Michaels wanted me to say HI to you. I did tell him about the songs and how much I love the band and that they had good taste. |

Anyway sorry for the delay and I should check my calendar next time but a very happy belated birthday to the hardest working drummer in Chicagoland Mike Borsch! Hope your day was a good one. And I forgot to tell you but I think you already know that I had a blast in Wood Dale. I love Keep Rockin and it is the perfect song to open with and also The Sky is Falling is great too. This is my last show of the summer and I wish you were closing the show that night instead of the Buckinghams. No offense but they can't hold a candle to you. And besides The Babushka Brass is the best!!! Enjoy the rest of summer guys and thanks as always for always giving your best at every show. Take care!

| Comments: | I was watching "At the Movies" on Channel 7 on Saturday night and they were reviewing "The Goods" with Jeremy Piven. They were showing the trailer and in the background I heard a very familiar song. I can name that tune in 3 notes...it's "Aire of Good Feeling" by the Ides of March!!! How cool to hear a fabulous song by the Ides used in a movie in 2009. I'd love to hear the story about how that came about! Very cool guys! |

| Comments: | What a lovely summer night in Wood Dale on Saturday! It will be one of my favorite memories. Warm breeze, sun setting and The Ides of March playing their hearts out. The sound was exceptional! Jim’s voice and the band blended into something magical. It’s great to actually feel the passion of the music, not just listen to it. Thanks to the Ides of March for continuing to enchant us with their music. |

Awesome and tight as always. You guys continue to amaze. Looking forward to catching your act again in Worth later next month. Forty-five years together! Holy crap. What a rarity. | Comments: | Oh boy don't I feel stupid. I had forgotten to wish a guy who is not only an exceptional keyboard player but a very nice person as well. Happy Belated Birthday Scott! And no there was no hockey game so I am not sure what kind of excuse I can give you. Hopefully you had a good one and I am going to try and make it to Northbrook on Sunday. Can't promise anything but I know I will make it for the last show of the summer in Wood Dale. Aren't you going to do any gigs in September? I think next time you do schedule anything for next summer check with me first because it seems that every time I want to see you there is always something else going on. Okay I am only kidding! Anyway take care and will see you soon! And Jim my friend Jeff has something special to give you when he sees you on Sunday. |

This took us back--I (Sharon)wish I still had my Lava Light. You would have had alot of us up on stage if it would've been warmer. Some of us fossils get cold!
And Mr. Bergland: I have seen you around up here before--Oh! Oh! Now you can't hide--we know the face. Just kidding, you are always safe up here in Northern Wisconsin. We're not wild groupies anymore. Thanks-we enjoyed every minute. Take Care! |

I never realized all the songs that you did and the hidden talent you did behind the scenes for so many other bands. I also truly enjoyed hearing the songs from Survivor that you did. My son loves "Eye of the Tiger" thanks to Rock Band and he is thrilled with the guitar pick that you gave me for him. I look forward to hopefully seeing you again when you are in this area. Last time I saw you guys was at the Crystal Rock ballroom in Rhinelander in summer of "72" (Bob mentioned during the show). Never forget how I begged my parents for the car to get there from Wausau. My thought was what in the hell are these guys coming to Rhinelander for...I gotta go see em. Hope you all had fun in the northwoods despite the WI weather. Hope you come back soon. |

First time I saw the Ides was either in the fall of 69 or 70 at Carthage college in Kenosha, Wi. then not again until 3 or 4 years ago when you preformed at the newly remodeled Genesee Theather in Waukegan, Il. I'm so looking forward to the Pig In the Pines concert on Aug. 1st. Vehicle is one of my favorite songs, always do that one at my karaoke gigs. |
