| Comments: | Hi Jim. This is crazy-I was just thinking about "Vehicle" for some reason(oh I know--I saw it in my notes-I have always wanted to sing it. I do a great job at Karaoke with it. Sound justlike ya!) and punched it in to google and--Voila!--I got the story about Karen and "Vehicle". Great A happy ending too ;).
Great to hear you are still at it. And- this is what I am really writing about--I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT BELIEVE AN 18-YEAR OLD HAD SUCH A BOMBASTIC, POWERFUL DEEP MATURE VOICE LIKE THAT.!!! I would have sworn you were in your 30s at least. I have been still at it too. On the other side of the coin tho--no one knows me-lol! But I am 57, just moved to LA and still trying....I have one of those super strong voices too....Great Living to you and yours. andrew mrasz |

| Comments: | Hi Ides, I was recently at a .38 special show and a group of 11 year old kids opened up for them. They were called Generation Z - "the young gunz of rock". Let me tell you, 38 special had a real hard act to follow. Anyway, this band gave out 2,000 free cd's called "One Less Tear" and I noticed that Jim Peterik was on the Cd.
Jim, do you know where these kids are from or how I could contact them for a booking. PS. they played Eye of the Tiger like Survivor did it. anyway, love the ides and keep on rockin. Thanks, Gary |

If you're ever down south in Georgia, I'd make it a point to come and listen. Perhaps the band could check into playing at Chastain Park in Atlanta next year?

| Comments: | Good Morning Ides of March! I always love seeing you guys in Bensenville and last night was one fantastic night. What a special treat we got when you brought Jimi on stage to sing The Search is Over and Eye of the Tiger (Jim you outdid yourself last night on the guitar solo YOU ROCK!!). It sounded so good and I love the fact when you did Pepperhead you goofed up the lyrics but hey I forgive you it was funny. Of course a big kudos for the brass section and you need to work on some chorography in which I will be glad to help you out LOL. 2 hours and it was well worth it and now I look forward to seeing you in Addison on the 10th.
And thank you for playing Superman which I do like that song and I hope that you can do one of these shows Bald Medusa which is my favorite. By the way I have to say a great job at the KC fair a couple of weeks ago. It was so much fun and I should have brought you guys some elephant ears. Take care and get some rest! |

Hope to see you play again soon.

| Comments: | This funny. I have known and had grown with your superb song Vehicle for so many years, and I mistakenly thought it was Chicago's. I apologize for that. Only this morning I found out it was from a band called the Ides of march which I have never heard before in my life. Inmediately I went to my main source of info(Google) to know more about your band. By the way I am from Guadalajara mexico and I think I heard Vehicle (which is in my top 10 all time songs) for the first time in 1971. Now I live in Los Angeles.
Greetings and keep it up guys |

But he doesn't use the pseudonym "Piere". When Scott travels, he tells everyone he is Jim Pilster from the Cryan Shames. |

| Comments: | In answer to Mary's question, Yes the Ides are still together, otherwise they would be in a lawsuit with the fellows who post this website. The band has all the original members. Larry, Jim, Bob and Mike started the band in 1964. In about 1969, John and Chuck came along. Scott joined in 1990, with Dave 1 year later. The band is better than ever. try and catch them this summer.

| Comments: | When I was a senior in high school I booked your band at our high school in Neenah, WI for a concert in September 1973. It was the same night that Billy Jean Kidd beat Bobby Riggs in the famous tennis match. I remember sitting in the green room watching it on TV with the band. Another interesting foot note about the concert was that I booked Cheap Trick to back up your band. I don't recall what we were charged for your band but I do remember paying only $125 for Cheap Trick. |

Don't know if you recall, but we attended Morton West High and when the Ides played at my college in Melbourne Florida, you came out with us after the show and we gave you a tour of local Melbourne and wrapped up with a few drinks at our house. Saw where the Ides will be celebrating the 100 years of Berwyn, and that you have kept the band active. Good job. Just thought I would say hello and hope all is going well with you. Jeff Benes |

| Comments: | Gentlemen, I just had the most wonderful opportunity to see your show and meet each of you in Vegas --- what a joy!
A couple of years ago my doctor told me I was quite ill and needed to slow down and find a way to rest and recover (raising 5 special needs kids and 5 special needs grandkids doesn't give you that chance too often!) My husband and I decided to utilize our best method of relaxing --- music --- and sought you out. We began attending as many shows as possible... oftentimes with our children and grandchildren! I found myself sitting there with eyes closed listening to the layers of harmonies that washed over me in warm waves. I would start to cry and could swear I felt myself healing. I explained this response to my doctor who said, "Wonderful! You've found a way of turning music into meditation. The reason you feel like you're healing is because you are! You're releasing all of the stress and toxicity and your body is responding." I know you're often involved in charities and doing what you can to help others. I just wanted you all to know that your music alone provides a charity of sorts and helps people in ways you might never expect. Thank you for the gift of joy, enthusiasm, and good health! We'll be looking for the next show! |
