I believe her father was a member of the Lincoln family but have no idea who her mother is. Her adoption was shrouded in secrecy and all documentd were "destroyed" in a "fire" that never happened. He was the father of Ruth's mother, which means Ruth's mother's maiden name must have been Davidson. I was born on May 10, 1950 at Crawford Long Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. The lady who told my adoptive parents about me was named Louise Doak, who worked at the hospital at the time. My adoptive father, James Sims Wilson, Jr. was an attorney and helped draw up the adoption papers. I assume since I was born in May of 1950 and my birth mother was about 14, she must have been born in or about 1936--in Cook county, Chicago, Illinois. I don't know birthmother's married name or where she would be now (2/2011), but I believe I may have some half-sibblings somewhere. I wish I new my medical history, as I am having some medical issues as of now.
With my adoption papers, it said that my birth mother (Ruth Frances Wilson)liked school, sports, loved music, and dreamed of becoming a plastic surgeon. Ruth's mother was a college graduate and Ruth's father was in merchandising. My birth father, last name West, was from a blue collar family and he was 16 at the time of my birth.His family-Catholic and Ruth's Presbyterian. | Comments: | I have been helping Charles only full sibling try to find out what happened to her only sibling. The sister Eileen was born in 1925. Shortly after Charles birth the baby went missing and no one has
been able to find a trace of him since. The parents were married in 1924 and when the mother Catharine was pregnant she found out that her husband had another wife and family and so came the seperation of Catharine and Charles senior if that was truly his first name. When Charles senior married Catharine he was using the name Mcdonald and when Catharine found out about the other wife she also learned that the last name was Macdougall. On the registration of birth the birth name is Charles Henry Macdougall. When this beautiful red headed baby went missing and with whom none of us know his mother did not give him up for adoption he was stolen from her right at the hospital. So who ever took him we know probably took him out of state and which state that would be is anyones guess. Someone once asked me could the father have done this and quite frankly I do not know. Charles senior was never a part of his daughter Eileen's life. Catharine went to her death never knowing what happened to this precious son of hers. I also leave the door open to Cathrine being told it was a boy only to perhaps find out it was really a daughter. also he was a few days old when this happened and remember that here was Catharine in 1928 without her husband and had a soon to be 3year old daughter and of cource she didn't have the funds to launch a search and I do not know why the hospital didn't do more to find this missing baby. Well Charles Henry were ever you are we your family want you to know that we never have given up hope of finding you or finding out what happened to you. I am your cousin and your sister and the rest of this family love and miss you and missed out on 74 years of your life so far. I hope you are out there or someone has heard of you. I cannot thank you enough for all you have done for me and my daughters. I have always been opened with my daughters about my son being put up for adoption,but never allowed myself to hope I would ever see him again. Shannon started this search as a gift of love and now many prayers have been answered. Your phone call on Nov.22 was a heart stopping moment. When I called my son at the number you gave me it was a very tearful conversation for my son and myself. To hear him call me Mom was the ultimate joy only to be topped when he walked through my front door on Dec.1,2002. True the baby I held in my arms 34 years ago has grown into a 6'4" man, but I had to controll my impulse to want to count his fingers and his toes as I once did so long ago. When he put his arms around me and held me close I could feel his heart beat against my face and the rhythm of the beating matched the dance of my own heart. I felt the oneness being together as if we had only been apart a few months instead of years. He is a wonderful young man, no one could have had better parents than the couple that adopted my son. I will always be grateful to them. I am looking forward to the years that I will be able to share with my children all together. A terrible weight has been lifted from my heart. He moved to Oklahoma in 1979 that is where i lost contact with him. He had a criminal background. Date of birth 04-1957 give or take a month or so.
Now for me: Last name at birth was Genereaux,so i have been told. Bparents were young. Father abandoned my mother after 3 child was born. I was the middle child. Older brother Bryan and I were adopted by G.J.Ramagos in November of 1957 I was 3and Bryan was 5. Younger brother was not adopted at that time. Do not know his name or dob. My brother Bryan in now passed away. So the need to find someone who is my biofamily is very strong now. When Bryan and I were adopted my aparents were U.S. citizians in the US Air Force,being transfered from anchorage Alaska to Travis AFB in Calif. The only other information i have is our mother was a maid and was sick with TB so i do not know if she is alive. Thank you for listening.
