We recently got a copy of the letter from his adopted mother and it once again sparked our interest in finding her. We have our second child on the way and would like to know his family/medical history. We know she was in her 20's and his father was 42. We know that he was born at his mother's house and that she held him in her arms and that he was the product of an affair. His father did not know about him until a week after he was given up for adoption. If he is out there and wants to know us we would like to find him too. For some reason, your birth mother had to return to her parent’s home and never finished high school. There is very little information in the file about your birth mother’s family. She had two older sisters. Your birth mother’s mother had “heart trouble” and your birth mother had an “on and off again kidney aliment.” Other than this, your birth mother stated that she knew of no inheritable medical conditions in either her family or your birth father’s. At the time of your birth your birth mother was sharing a house with her parents. She was divorced with 5 children by her ex-husband. My adopted mother baptized me, in St Ann's Church, 104 Academy St, Manlius, on December 18, 1966; and my adoption decree was signed Nov. 30; 1967!!!. Was possible baptized before at the adoption decree?. Before my adoption decree my adopted parents and me, we've go to Canada and come back for three times, (January, August and September 1966), I dont understand because the adoption decree was signed Nov 30; 1967. When I asked at my amother for that, she answer. I dont remember what the paper I had. Before my adoption, my adopted father was a teacher of Military Manlius School and Syracuse University; my adopted mother was a teacher of Fayeteville Manlius School. My adopted mother move only with me to Argentina in January 7, 1968 and never come back to USA, my adopted father was a teacher of Military Manlius School and Syracuse University, language teacher for 10 years more, and move o Argentina in 1978, he visit us in Argentina, one or two times in a year. To be honest, I wasn't sure if he was born at Highland or Northside(my sister that was in the labor room with me said Highland). I signed the relinquishment papers at the hospital about 5 days after he was born. I never got to hold him and I was allowed to see him 1 time(through the nursey window). Stephen Louis Allen was born on 1-19-1969 at Highland Hospital, in Rochester, NY. I placed him in foster care a few months after I relinquished David. The relinquishment papers were signed in Jan, 1971. He was 2 yrs old at that time. | Comments: | I have been helping Charles only full sibling try to find out what happened to her only sibling. The sister Eileen was born in 1925. Shortly after Charles birth the baby went missing and no one has
been able to find a trace of him since. The parents were married in 1924 and when the mother Catharine was pregnant she found out that her husband had another wife and family and so came the seperation of Catharine and Charles senior if that was truly his first name. When Charles senior married Catharine he was using the name Mcdonald and when Catharine found out about the other wife she also learned that the last name was Macdougall. On the registration of birth the birth name is Charles Henry Macdougall. When this beautiful red headed baby went missing and with whom none of us know his mother did not give him up for adoption he was stolen from her right at the hospital. So who ever took him we know probably took him out of state and which state that would be is anyones guess. Someone once asked me could the father have done this and quite frankly I do not know. Charles senior was never a part of his daughter Eileen's life. Catharine went to her death never knowing what happened to this precious son of hers. I also leave the door open to Cathrine being told it was a boy only to perhaps find out it was really a daughter. also he was a few days old when this happened and remember that here was Catharine in 1928 without her husband and had a soon to be 3year old daughter and of cource she didn't have the funds to launch a search and I do not know why the hospital didn't do more to find this missing baby. Well Charles Henry were ever you are we your family want you to know that we never have given up hope of finding you or finding out what happened to you. I am your cousin and your sister and the rest of this family love and miss you and missed out on 74 years of your life so far. I hope you are out there or someone has heard of you. I cannot thank you enough for all you have done for me and my daughters. I have always been opened with my daughters about my son being put up for adoption,but never allowed myself to hope I would ever see him again. Shannon started this search as a gift of love and now many prayers have been answered. Your phone call on Nov.22 was a heart stopping moment. When I called my son at the number you gave me it was a very tearful conversation for my son and myself. To hear him call me Mom was the ultimate joy only to be topped when he walked through my front door on Dec.1,2002. True the baby I held in my arms 34 years ago has grown into a 6'4" man, but I had to controll my impulse to want to count his fingers and his toes as I once did so long ago. When he put his arms around me and held me close I could feel his heart beat against my face and the rhythm of the beating matched the dance of my own heart. I felt the oneness being together as if we had only been apart a few months instead of years. He is a wonderful young man, no one could have had better parents than the couple that adopted my son. I am looking for my birth family now. and also an exhusband (for my other children)His name is Paul Robert Lebel born in Methuen or Lawrence Massachusetts. He moved to Oklahoma in 1979 that is where i lost contact with him. He had a criminal background. Date of birth 04-1957 give or take a month or so.
Now for me: Last name at birth was Genereaux,so i have been told. Bparents were young. Father abandoned my mother after 3 child was born. I was the middle child. Older brother Bryan and I were adopted by G.J.Ramagos in November of 1957 I was 3and Bryan was 5. Younger brother was not adopted at that time. Do not know his name or dob. My brother Bryan in now passed away. So the need to find someone who is my biofamily is very strong now. When Bryan and I were adopted my aparents were U.S. citizians in the US Air Force,being transfered from anchorage Alaska to Travis AFB in Calif. The only other information i have is our mother was a maid and was sick with TB so i do not know if she is alive. Thank you for listening.
