| Comments: | Thank you for being so nice and sharing this wonderful information. I just bought a culture from a person on ebay and I'm brewing it now. The culture was quite clear at first, in fact it looked more like a jelly fish than a pancake. Now, during the brewing process the kombuchu is becoming opaque. I've been pooring off a bit of the brew (mine is in only a quart jar) and replacing the sweet tea. It seems to work, but is still quite sweet with a hard cider taste. The brew has no bubbles yet, though I do notice the fermentation sensation. I probably am tapping it too early. How fragile is the mushroom when I move it? Thanks again for such a wonderful help source! |
