| Comments: | RN 313 main page: Though I hate to complain about color, I
think that a white background might offer a cleaner look to the page. RN 313's "Hinduism 101" provides most of the basic information that one might need to explore the faith further. I thought that the author choose excellent links - BeliefNet even offered a "Hinduism quiz", which told me I approach Hinduism as a "philosopher". I would have liked to see a further explanation of why Hindus hold the cow as sacred, which I understand as reverence for the cow's milk in a period of otherwise dire need, and the leather which the cow provides after dying. I wish that the discussion included some word about caste role in karma, and I thought the statement "The Dravidians were peace-loving, happy folk while the Aryans were brutes who would stop at nothing to get more land. No, sorry, we have no proof that was how it played out." unnecessary in the lack of historical knowledge about what really happened. Also, it would be nice to really make the page a Cliff's Notes-type reference by coloring/underlining/italicizing important names and terms. Pictures of Gods might look nice. I sensed that the author's voice interfered with the information that the author presents. I felt as though the article felt like a stream-of-consciousness piece: "Is it just me, or do the words Indus and Hindu sound the same? Well, it isn’t just me;" Raj |

it'd be a good idea to somehow credit the person or people who contributed to the particular page, whether it be just by including a name(s) and/or e-mail address! That way we'd know who the authors and be able to comment, ask questions, or make suggestions! there's my two cents for now! ()=) |
