I just decided to finally sign your guestbook because I've enjoyed getting to know you over the last year. And I always come here to see what you're reading, check out your book lists, etc. So I thought I'd let you know!

Checking out your book log again. I'm reading One Hundred Years of Solitude right now. It took me about 50 pages to get into it, but now I can't wait to get back to it.

Start a list, 101 things to do isn't that bad!

Holy cow. I was checking your book log (which I sometimes do when I don't know what to read!) I like that you keep track of the number of words.

I'm trying to do 52 books this year too. So, I will be referring back often for ideas. :)

Hey Val - the site looks great! It's been a while since I've seen it, but when I needed LMM info, I knew exactly where to go. See you on the forum!

I just re-discovered this website a few days ago, and I can't get enough of it. I see that a lot of changes have taken place since I last visited. I've recommended the site to a friend since she's also an L. M. Montgomery fan. :)

Hi, I'm a Vietnamese twelfth grader who's crazy about classic texts:) Unless my eyes missed something, you haven't listed Love Story anywhere around the site. If you have time, definitely check it out! Also, Wodehouse and Saki are two of my fav writers; I have a taste for satre you know. Try their books once and you'll end up like me;) Last, if you don't limit yourself to books by English-speaking authors, then The House of the Spirits is a must-read. Btw, thanks for all the great book lists - just what I need, but please make the letters stand out against the background;)
Cheers!

Guess who's website link pops up as I am doing research on Francis Eliza Hodgson Burnett...yours! I Just learned her full name (Eliza) through intensive research.
Anyway, I guess because my search was nonstop for about10 hours straight I was able to come up with the info I needed for a book in my possession "Giovanni and The Other - Children Who Have Told Stories" 1892 First Edition,(illustrated) New York: Charles Scribner's Sons - Press of J. J. Little & Co. Astor Place, New York.
I jsut acquired the books on 01-22-06 at an auction in Greene County New York, however, I am going on retreat for several weeks in the morning.
Hopefully upon my return we can communicate with one another about Frances Burnett.

Take Care

Just love your site! I think it's so cute! I just started learning HTML and I love it! Espicially the "marquee" thingy. The L.M.Montgomery part has really helped me in school. I'm in gr.6. I think you should try the Eric Wilson/Walters books. They are my faves!

Curious. All of those lists of twentieth century books and I didn't see The Razor's Edge in there. I might've missed it but they made two movies based onthat one.

yay reading lolita in tehran is on your list.

we should really read a hundred years of solitude sometime :)

and... you've never read brave new world? can't wait to discuss

and... doris lessing? hmm... i read one of her horror books "the fifth child" years ago and was terribly, terribly scared. i haven't dared touch anything by her since.

how come there isn't any option for "all of the above" for favourite sections + fruit? because i like them all. actually, if you'd made an option for strawberries or peaches or kiwi's, i would have chosen one of those. oooh... or pomegranites! pomegranites are awesome. :) they're fun to eat and make me feel like persephone.

yes, bets is in a silly mood. i'll play on the forum with you instead of spamming your guestbook :)
