Drummer: Tony Bianchini
Comments:Dear Jim,

I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but you are partially at fault. The drums you sold me are so fantastic I can't pull myself away from them. They have inspired my to get more and more involved in my music. The other night I played with some friends for over four hours, and then again last night for two. I have my first gig with these drums tomorrow. I can't wait.

In these days of situational ethics, and trying to figure out "what your definition of is", it's great to meet someone who is a honest and straight forward businessman like yourself.

When I first wrote you back in August, six months before I purchased my drums, I never thought I would ever buy drums on-line. But through my simple inquiry, I receive a page long response from you, something I never expected. Still not planning to buy anything, I realized you care enough to spend time with someone who may never be a customer. Over the next six months we corresponded more than a dozen times. Still with neither of us sure I would end up buying anything from you. Eventually I realized that you had the best prices and the drums I wanted, but the idea of sending a money order for well over $1000.00 to a stranger for drums I had never seen or heard sounded crazy. Partially relying on my faith in God and partially relying on my judgment in character, I made the leap. I mailed the check, and you mailed the drums. I continued to be impressed when you sent me daily updates and tracking information. I mentioned to my wife how pleased I was with the service.

The drums got here and I was dancing with joy, until I found some pieces missing. I thought to myself " Oh man I blew it, will I ever see these pieces or hear from Jim again?" With some reluctance, I e-mailed you late that evening about the situation . To my surprise there was an e-mail waiting for me in the morning. I believe the time on the e-mail was around 2 AM. You assured me it would be taken care of right away. Sure enough within days I was set up and playing.

As for the drums. I have been playing drums on and off for over thirty years. I was drum captain for my high school band overseeing 20+ drummers. I later signed on as assistant director/drum coordinator for the same award winning marching band, and for the past six years have been the drummer for a highly regarded local worship team. Most recently I have hooked up with two local Christian bands which play in the area and have done some recording. I needed drums with recording quality sound but also sensitive enough to be played in small church setting. I believe I have found what I wanted in the Zenith MX5. These all maple drums have great tone and unbelievable volume. I've been playing drums in my house for years and my son plays electric guitar, but after ten minutes on these drums, after my initial excitement, all I could think was "what about the neighbors". I could not believe the amount of sound that came out. I have since added studio rings to quiet them and they still sound great. I'm not the worlds greatest musician or drummer but I know what I like, and I like these drums. Sometimes when I walk by them I have to sit down and play, not because I want to play, but because I want to hear the drums. I feel like I'm serenading myself. Bottom line, these drums are the real thing at a great price. I highly recommend them for the serious drummer. Likewise the cymbals and the hardware are great. My musician friends can't believe the product you offer for the price. Keep it up. I know I will be back for more.

Warmest Regards and God Bless,

Tony Bianchini

Drummer: Pete Standbridge (Drum Builder)
My Photo URL: http://www.stanbridgedrums.com
Comments:Hi Jim,

Pete Stanbridge here. I am a custom snare drum builder in St. John's, Newfoundland Canada, and we had some contact when I ordered your books last spring. I just wanted to bring you up to date on my progress since our last discussions, and to invite you to critique my website and products.

Things have been going really well, and I have recently started introducing my gear to some of the retail people and players both locally and in Toronto. Response has been very positive, although I haven't really gotten to the stage where I am asking people to put their money where their mouths are yet, so time will tell.

When I described the Hardwood Hoop product to you some months ago, you seemed to think that it had potential, and I wondered if you might like to take a look at one of the prototypes. I would be very interested in your feedback and comments as a player, retailer and builder. Perhaps you can take a look at the materials on the website and let me know if you would like me to send you a sample hoop.

Hope all is well Jim, and I look forward to chatting with you soon.

Best regards;

Pete Stanbridge

My Comments: Pete did, indeed, send me a sample of one of his solid maple hoops. Mine was for a 14" Snare. The workmanship, materials, and finish is impeccable. Since then Pete's hoops have been selected as OEM hoops by custom Drum Builder Ronn Dunnet and others. I feel so blesses to have been a small part of helping Pete out! Jim

Drummer: DARREN *v* (Drum Building Books)
E-mail address: dmyers@svs.net
Comments:Hey JIM,

Thanks so much for sending the copy of the drum books to me. I received them today and I'll keep in touch and soon send some pics of my kit that I built. I have a good company that did the Shelby logo on the bass head and I found a machine shop to do the badge design in Indiana where I live. I got my fed ID number so hopefully I can buy the drum shells and other material wholesale and try to find a way to market my drums. I know I have a long way to go yet but this is something I've prayed and hoped for, for a long time and I get so many cool ideas in my mind that sometimes I just need to stop and go one step at a time. But your info in your books has been a real help and also gave me the motivation to just go for it.

THANKS AGAIN,

DARREN *v*

Comments:Dear Jim,

Thanks for being so attentive to my order. I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Jim's Casey's Vermont drums! My drums arrived at my doorstep in perfect condition, fresh out of the boxes. No nicks or dings from being on a sales floor at one of the "mega stores", no pushy salesmen to deal with and best of all you were the best price I could find! Great job, Jim!

E-mail address: Billj707@aol.com
Comments:Hi Jim,

I recieved my Duallist pedal on Monday afternoon. After
viewing the instructional videotape that came with it I
attached it to my bass drum and within a half hour I was
doing 16th notes on the bass drum like I've always wanted
to. Now I'm working on getting triplets to sound good but
that should come with a little bit of practice, and I'm
looking forward to trying some other ideas out.
Thanks for all of your help. It's nice to do business
with someone that cares about your purchase and is
knowledgeable as well. I will definitely look you up the
next time I'm interested in buying something.

advice regarding both Mapex drums and Ufip cymbals. I
couldn't be happier with my new set. Buying my drums, cases,
and cymbals through your website has been a truly satisfying
experience with the added bonus of saving well over $3000.00
compared to retail.

I received the duallist today Thursday 29 march. Right out

Thanks so much for your help.

Drummer: Mike Wilcox (Duallist Pedal)
E-mail address: MikeyStix@bigfoot.com
Comments:Dear Jim,

As promised, the pedal arrived on Monday afternoon (6-18-01)
and I got to see it around 5:30 after I got home from work.
I opened it up and everything was there unharmed. I took a
quick look through the operators manual and installed the
beaters. From there I went right down to my drum room and
put it on my bass drum. This meant taking off my Intruder
and setting it aside.

Wow! look at all this empty space near the hat stand. I did
some of my favorite warm-ups and then did a small adjustment
to the beater length for the right beater. Next, I did the
warm-ups again, this time using the both beaters. It was a
little clumsy at first trying to get used to the feel, but I
found it and then packed up to go to our gig.

When I got there and got set-up, I just started warming up
like I normally do and didn't say a word about the new
pedal. We did our sound check and then took a break and
greeted people coming in for the gig. We got about half way
through the first song and I kicked in the second beater.
Boy, you could have been knocked over by the snapping necks
of my band mates turning around to see what was happening.
Nobody said anything since we have 4 songs back-to-back as
an opening, they didn't get the chance. I just pretended not
to hear them and the show went on. At the end of the first
set, the band gets introduced and everybody gets a 4 bar
solo spot except for me. I usually get 10 or 12 bars
depending on how I feel that night. Well, this time I got
about 24 bars and the band just stood there google-eyed,
trying to figure out what was going on. After the solo, the
rest of the band comes in and we close off and take a break.

I actually had a lot of applause and didn't end up getting a
break because I spent so much time showing off my new
Duallist pedal and explaining how it worked.

So......... Thanks Jim, I couldn't have done it without you.

I'll write more when I have some time to try some different
things with it.

Dear Jim,

I give it a good day to play around with it. Like anything,

I was already doing some of the beats from the video.

The quality of the (Duallist) pedal, and your customer
service are awesome!

Comments:I love the drums. I have replaced the heads on the toms, but
that was because four people were playing them and one was a
little heavy. I highly recommend this set for that age. Jim
is really a great guy too. I have no regrets. One uggestion,
look at a cymbal upgrade. For normal use, the included
cymbals are fine for practice. After some heavy use (6
months with four people) they are showing there wear.
Something thicker would be great for a long haul once you
know he wants to stick with it.

E-mail address: LinO@health.missouri.edu
Comments:Hi Jim,

I finally got around to fine tuning my Challenge set.
Overall, the set is wonderful. Definitely the best value
for the money. I liked the drums so much that I went out
and splurged on cymbals. A local shop had some 802
Paiste hi-hats on sale so I've already replaced the Sunlite
ones. Definitely worth the money. I didn't really like the
802 ride or crash, so I'm going to wait and see what to
replace the Sunlite ride/crash with.

Thanks again,

exactly sure what that means but i was able to put them
together just fine.

I am now looking for better cymbals and was wondering if you
had any good buys. I'm looking for a crash, ride, and hi-hat
and another cymbal stand. I also wanted to know if there was
any way to muffle some sound from the snare drum. I hope to
hear from you soon.

I'm Sorry it has taken me so long to get back with you.
I've been so busy playing my new drums I've barely had time
to do anything else!

It was truely a pleasure doing business with and
and I will be in touch when I need any other drum equipment.

To anyone looking to purchase a drum set I highly recommend
Jim Casey and his Sunlite drums. This is my first drum set
to ever own and Jim was extremely helpful and courteous in
answering all my questions. I've worked in customer service
for over 10 years and know what it means to provide good
service. I can honestly say I have never had better
customer service than I had with Jim, and it was over the
internet!!

Jim answered all my questions within just a few hours after
I submitted them and I found his answers and advice to be
informative and knowledgeable. I decided to go with the
Sunlite BX-22DM5, and on Jim's suggestion, Paiste 502 series
cymbals. I couldn't be happier with my first set, though I
can't say the same about my neighbors. If you want a
quality set at a great price and with excellent service,
give Jim Casey a try.

Thanks Jim!

p.s. Have you heard of those silencers you can put on the
drums to quiet them down but still with good sound? If so,

E-mail address: thecases@dmci.net
Comments:To prospective drum buyers,

I'm a drum newbie. So I searched the net looking for drum
buying tips, music stores, dealers, used drums, etc. In my
many hours of "drum surfing", I came across Jim Casey's
Drums of Vermont. I dropped him an email, and to my
amazement I received a reply in just a few hours! Jim was
very friendly, helpful, and knowledgable...just what I
needed. I wrote numerous times to him, asking him to
explain the different sets, what to look for in drums, and
many, many other questions. He always replied quickly
(sometimes within the hour), and always with good
information.

I finally decided to make my first drum set purchase on the
internet. It wasn't hard to figure out the best value. I
bought a beautiful set of BX-22DM5 from Jim Casey's drums.
They are Sunlite's with the natural maple high gloss laquer
finish. I received them in less than a week! And they are
every bit as beautiful as the picture shows! The hardware
is high quality, and the drums sound fantastic, even with a
novice like me playing them. My band director at church is
amazed at the quality of my drums in comparison to what I
paid for them. Needless to say, he's sold on Sunlite too.
If you're looking to buy drums, you've gotta' give Jim Casey
a look. I'm a totally satisfied customer.

Thanks, Jim!

I just wanted to let you know that my Sunlite snare and
stand came yesterday afternoon. I am very impressed! For
such a low price, this equipment sure is high-quality. The
stand is heavy and durable and the drum sounds good.
It wouldn't have made much sense for me to buy a Pearl or
Remo or Ludwig and have to pay so much more. If I ever need
any drumming equipment in the future, it will be Sunlite and
I'll check out your prices first. By the way, you are the
only drum dealer I've ever e-mailed that actually responded
promptly and adequately. Thanks for everything.

Comments:Hi Jim,

I'll send you a picture when I get one together. But for
now,I'd like to let you know that I'm pleased with the level
of service that I've received from you and your
responsiveness. You probably remember that I was pretty
nervous about sending a cashier's check to you. I feel
pretty safe with a credit card when I buy something
over the internet. Anyway, I appreciate the way that you
sent me to your supplier and that they personally vouched
for you.

I was also pretty pleased that I got the set within a week
of the time that I mailed you the check. It was more like 5
days.

The instructions you sent were very helpful in setting the
drums up and I was pretty glad that the snare and 2 of the
toms were already together.

I enjoy playing them a lot and I think my son is also. I
played on the kit at church during practice for one song
last night and the band hadn't noticed that the drummer and
I had switched ( I usually play bass and they had their
backs to us).

So thanks for being honest and helpful,

Patrick Soehl

Comments:"I was looking for a nice
drumset for my 13 year old son,
that wouldn't
"Break the Bank". I did a lot of
surfing before I stumbled onto
Jim's
Vermont drum site. I emailed
some of the other Online sellers
asking
questions, and Jim was the
only one who responded. He
was very quick to
respond and very helpful. I
ended up buying "The
Challenge". I am very
impressed with the product and
Jim treated me like family. I
recommend to
everyone you let Jim handle
your drum buying needs. I
won't go anywhere
else. Thanks Jim!"

Thanks again,

Comments:Hey Jim
Zach has been home about a
week now and plays his drums
several times a day. He is
elated, to say the least. I have
attached a picture of Zach
playing his Sunlite Drums. I
use to play in a garage band as
young teenager and our two
drummers had Ludwig and
Pearl. These drums are very
fine quality and I know he'll get
years of use and fun from
them.

Thanks for
all your help, your service is
the best. We wish you
continued success.

Sincerely,
Don & Zach McNulty

Comments:Thanks Jim
I was going to write you today
anyway, to say thank you. I
received the drums on Tuesday
and put them together last
evening. They look great and
sound good to for my piddling
around. I do have a question
though. It came without any
instructions so I had to rely on
the picture in the catalog and
my memories of playing in a
rock and roll band back in the
60's, (I played guitar).

Zachary will start drum
lessons next week. He hasn't
seen them as yet, he's away at
camp till the end of the week.

Sincerely
Don

Comments:Mr. Casey,

I finally got my drum set.
They're awesome.  The color is
going to go well with my band's
colors.

Dad and I are trying to fit
them to gether now.  When I
pulled into the drive I was kind
of sceptical because of the size
of the boxes, but I wasn't let
down.  They're really great.
Thanks

Sincerely,
David Rufenacht

Comments:Hi Jim,

Just letting you know that the
drum set arrived here just fine
- luckily I was home at the time
Those RPS guys love to drop
everything on the doorstep and
run - at least I think they rang
the doorbell this time, but
they're long gone by the time I
get to the door. They left a
computer on my doorstep once,
and I know they didn't even
knock that time. Anyway,
everything was there, and I'm
now happily annoying my
husband greatly!

Thanks again,

Shari T.

Comments:Hello Jim,

I was e-mailing you to let
you know that my Sunlite
practice set came. I have it
completely set up and it is
awesome. It is very stable, well
constructed, and looks great.
There is also a lot of
adjustability in the set
up for pad position. It showed
up late Friday and I waited to
talk to you today so I would
have some hours on it before we
spoke. I am totally satisfied and
am so glad that I was able to
find your website and was
given such wonderful customer
service from a fab person like
yourself. I'll send you a picture
pretty quick, I just have to get
some film for my instant
camera. Hope you have a great
time, I can tell you I am.

Talk to you soon,
Rich Alexa

Comments:Thanks for being so fast on
everything...a testomonial to
your great service.

We live just a few miles from
Boise in farm country, I raise
and train Appaloosa horses out
here on twenty acres. It is a
nice place to live, but it sounds
like your's is beautiful also.

Here is the picture you asked
for of Aric with his drumset
learning his first Beatles song.

Thanks to the great service of
Jim Casey of Vermont Drums
my son received his drums in
time for his birthday. He gives
you the kind of personal service
the big guys can't match. Hope
to do business with you again
sometime. Thanks again,
