Niet alleen door de zeer fraaie instrumenten maar ook van het voortreffelijke spel van de uitvoerenden De CD van Marsha (Wooddale Church) klinkt kerngezond; prachtig programma en van grote kwaliteit. Artistically, it has spurred the growth of all of our music programs by fostering congregational singing, participation in our various choirs, and renewed enthusiasm for the wonderful and rich musical tradition of the Roman Catholic Church. Some time before that, the church had a pipe (but that was before our time here, so I don't have a clue what kind it was). I was especially interested in the organ of Westminster Presbyterian in Peoria, IL. It looks to be about the size and voicing that should work in our sanctuary. But it'll be quite awhile before we'd be able to do something here. Loralee Cooley (P.S. My husband, Ed, is pastor at Pampa First Presbyterian. Comments:Hello Pieter, just looking about the web and found your spot ! Congratulations for a superb presentation. Hope it brings you lots of work and supportive comments from old friends and associates. The audio is good and certainly gives a legitimate representation of your art. Actually considering the audio delivery "mechanism" I would rate it as excellent. I believe it would do fair justice to one of our 32'/ 16' electronically driven horn resonators if and when you ever incorporate same in one of your organs! However, Not so, with one of our 32' open (pure sine wave) resonators. Any notes CCCCC through FFFFF will blow out a candle at eight feet distance (thats with only 100 watts RMS power input) Keep up the good work, its been a great challenge for all of us. Many happy memories of visiting your shop at the Houston AIO convention 1976?
Small digression, my kids have given me a framed print by Don Collony "THRUST OVER WEIGHT" and personally signed by JAN ZURASKOWSKI, of a Canadian Avro Arrow in vertical climb.(this was the project in which I was involved, when it was canned back in the late 50's, which eventually led me to the organ.)

Sincererly, Andrew Neil Shaw.

The trumpets resound as the chorus is played. I would like to know where I could write to replace this wonderful tape! Truly, the Woodale Organ is one of the greatest organs in the United States!

Comments:Sir:
I had corresponded with you earlier this year in reference to a home instrument. In that process, you graciously forwarded a CD consisting of pieces played on various instruments you had built. While "re"listening to this CD recently, I was reminded of how lovely some of the choral singing is, never mind your instruments. The particular anthem I seek the name for is track #14 of my CD. The disc itself had no index; it simply says "Various instruments of 20 to 75 ranks", and is dated March or April of this year. If you could tell me the name of this anthem, I would be in your debt. I can distinguish that the opening phrases are: "How do you capture the wind on the water (or mountain?); How do you count all the stars in the sky; How do you measure the love of the Father...etc, much of which I cannot distinctly hear. With Christmas approaching fast, I have hope that our choir could do this anthem.

Thanks much,

Steve Isbell

Wish I could hear the sound.
I have seen and heard your beautiful instrument at UT. It is truly magnificent. I am planning to visit your factory very soon.
Our parish (St. Ignatius Loyola in Spring, Texas) is planning to build a new 2000 seat church. I am working on costs/comparisons for a new organ since our present organ will be moved to the chapel.
I would love to hear from anyone who would like to share
information and comments about organs.

Comments:Beste Pieter,

Comments:I happened upon this site quite by accident. I'm the
organist at Village Evangelical Free church in South
Holland, Illinois. We have a 61 year old Kimball 6 rank/20
stop pipe organ (small with lots of duplicated sounds).
Our church bought it when we were in our former sight in
Chicago. It It was the last organ that Kimball made before
our involvement in World War II. When we moved it to South
Holland, myself and several others at the time were
instrumental in hiring an organ builder to expand and
enhance the versatility of our organ. Upon my father's
death, my mother purchased a trumpet for the organ. We
gone from our 6 ranks to 14. When we finish, we'll have 20
ranks; an instrument that will fill our sanctuary with
glorious sounds. I've always loved the sound of an organ
that breathes. In my travels, I've had the good fortune of
playing organs in other areas of the world. Thanks for
being on the net.
