| Comments: | Saw LOTR Sunday Feb 12/06 and was very disappointed in Carver's performance. Very uneven and only at times did he convey the power and character of Gandalf. Other times he seemed to be walking through the role. Yes, this was a "preview" performance but the prices charged were high enough that the audience deserved a full effort from the cast. Most of the other cast members did deliver.
I would be interested to hear the opinions of others who have seen the show. |

| Comments: | Well, I really don't know here to begin. I went to see Parade with my granmother on the last night of it's performance. She gets subcribtions, and I didn't really know what we were seeing, I never read anything about what I'm going to see, so that is fresh and new.
I was in tears by the end of the performance, as was much of the audience. I was also enthralled by Brent's amazing portrayal of Leo Frank, who I would later learn about in class when I went back to High School after that summer. After that I was obsessed for a period of about 2 years, but I couldn't find him anywhere. I wanted to write to him and praise him. I feared he'd dropped off the edge of my little world. Just yesterday, I went to see another play with my grandmother, nearly 4 years after I'd seen Parade. To my astonishment, he was in it! I saw My Life With Albertineat the Playwrights Hirzon theater. I enjoyed every second of the play, and I felt the thrill of what I remembered watching him work in Parade. I have wanted to be an actress all my life. I'm soon to be 20 years old, and I can't tell you how much Mr. Carver has impacted my life. Joy |
| What's your favourite Brent role? Why?: | well, I haven't seen enough of his work to really make a choice. I'll get back to you on that. So far he's two out of two! |

| What's your favourite Brent role? Why?: | I am not sure of the Title, but Brent played a one-legged athlete wanting to compete in olympics, but was refused because of his handicap. It was played so well. All the best to you, Brent. John - a fan from long ago in Cranbrook. |

| Comments: | I think what we love about Brent is that he is so decent and sweetly unassuming.
By allowing himself to retain his privacy and at the same time be so sensitive; he gives us an allowance to be ourselves. He is truly wonderful in every way. |
| What's your favourite Brent role? Why?: | It is too difficult to pick. He is truly a fasinating chameleon. |

| Comments: | I have been a Brent Carver fan for many years. I loved
seeing Kiss of the Spider Woman in London. My favourite Brent Carver experience was seeing Richard III in Edmonton. Brent Carver was absolutely mesmerizing in the performance. I met him after a performance and later dropped him a note saying how much I had enjoyed the performance. Imagine my surprise when I received a thank you note from him! This man is one great actor. |
| What's your favourite Brent role? Why?: | Richard III - his Richard was so evil and so attractive at
the same time |

| What's your favourite Brent role? Why?: | I would have to say Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof. This was
by far the most incredible performance I've ever seen from this amazingly talented man. I saw it twice, with much difficulty in getting the tickets, I might add! |

| Comments: | It's a beautiful world, it really is, but what saddens me
about it is the general public's slavery to fashion. Hollywood is so much more revered than any type of theatre, and as a result beautiful actors like Brent Carver don't get the recognition they deserve. Never was there such a brilliant, wonderful actor as he, yet so many people have no idea who he is. I've been involved in theatre all my life (so consequently I've always been around actors), and never have I seen anyone equal to him. Keep up the great work on this website; it's lovely to find people who appreciate this phenomenal man as I do. |
| What's your favourite Brent role? Why?: | You can't possibly ask me to choose a favourite Brent
role!! One of the most incredible things about him as an actor is his wonderful flexibility; he can adapt to any role and make it his. He can infuse this vibrant life into all of his roles and that's one of the reasons why you can't take your eyes off him when he's onstage. |

| Comments: | Hi, Tesse, found your website :) It's great! I love the
background, too. The line about letting his eyes speak a million words or something close to that you had in the introduction: so true, so true! |
| What's your favourite Brent role? Why?: | Mmm . . . I loved Tevye at Stratford, even though I didn't
really know it was him. Larry wasn't bad ("Larry's Party"), but I think Tevye had more of a range of emotions. |

| Comments: | This was in the Toronto Star
Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000 "Carver sends fiddler through the roof The evidence was in months ago that the Stratford Festival's production of Fiddler On The Roof was a hit both critically and at the box office. What has come as a surprise is that Fiddler has been the most unattainable ticket in Ontario. One reason: the awareness that Brent Carver's sweet, vulnerable Tevye is not just one of his many fine performances but possibly the greatest of his astonishing career, the kind that people talk about for decades. There are just nine more performances before the show closes on Nov. 4, and the run has been sold out since late August. There's only one way to get a ticket, and that's to line up at 9 a.m. on the day of a performance for the 30 rush seats." etc. etc. |

Brent's incredible talent, I want to see more and more of his work. You have provided me a resource. Thanks. |
| What's your favourite Brent role? Why?: | He was wondeful as Teve in Fiddler On The Roof, but what
amazed me was his versatility in Elizabeth Rex! |

| What's your favourite Brent role? Why?: | Definetely Ichabod Crane. He is just fabulous in this role!
You really can see how irritating this character is! He is also amazing playing Leo Frank, in 'Parade'. This must be such a difficult role and Mr. Carver do it greatfully! |

| Comments: | I've been to this site several times. I am so thrilled that there is a place for all of us who love and admire this great broadway talent!!!
Brent is a wonderful performer on stage and screen. How many actors can say that about themselves??? |
| What's your favourite Brent role? Why?: | That's a hard question. I guess it would be a tie between Molina and Leo Frank. Molina is such an original character. You can identify with him in some way or the other. I mean, how many people do you know that don't use movies, music, or books as a means of escape from boring everyday life. Leo Frank on the hand is an underdog of sorts. And everybody roots for the underdog! Especially if injustice is involved. Sorry, I didn't mean to write a book. Thanks for all the hardwork! It certainly has paid off! Thanks again!!! |

| What's your favourite Brent role? Why?: | That would have to be Leo Frank. A) because Parade is the
only show I've seen him in, and B) because he was incredible in the role! Even if we are all aware of my slight preference for Don's Leo |
