I started the Member Assistance Program of the NYPD/PBA with two other brothers who are sworn LEO's. I worked Ground Zero with Steve B., a blackhawk pilot. He holds groups for vets returning to work at the NYPD after deployment. Anyone needing help or or wondering why your still having panic attacks after the VA has given you six increases in your Alprazolam.......write tio me, I promise to right back! Your on the wrong drug, 1st signs of withdrawal are a panic attack, so the VA shrink gives you more because he or she is not trained in PTSD...or mis-diagnoses you as having "Bi-Polar" disrder and they tell you "its a pre-existing condition'.....why are you having flashbacks now? Nor before combat? Its not Bi-Polar! |

It's Julie from UAW Region 4 Veterans. This last weekend our good friend Moby was remembered at the Fall Veterans Conference. A silent auction was held in memory of Moby and about $1,000 was raised, the money will be donated to all the vets days. I had some pictures of moby made up and framed. One picture was sold for $107! A good friend of mine had some special affects in the pictures. I will try to send a copy to you for any future events you may have for a money making in memory of Moby. He is often thought of and sadly missed. I will always hold a special place in my heart for him. The conferences are not the same without him. I have taken over the National POW/MIA Balloon Launch and I hope we can count on you support again. I will keep you posted. The whole event was an absolute success! My hat's off to all! Here's a Joke: How many VOAMC members does it take to put chaps on my Sister, Jackie? ANSWER: A Vietnam Vet, a Probate and a Poundcake! 3 tries, 30 minutes, but a successful mission none the less, and they left no one behind! Bravo! (only took 167.4 seconds once my Sister Poundcake was recruited.)
To The excellent people from Vet's Day in Tomah, that I had the pleasure of meeting and sharing a very special night with at John & his family's "Going away" party on Saturday night: Thank you for making me feel welcome and accepted. its fourth annual Veterans Day Parade. After the parade, the Vietnam Veterans of America chapter 756 and the city will dedicate a huey helicopter as the city's Vietnam memorial. This helicopter has over 2700 hours of action in Vietnam. We are inviting all Nam vets to the parade and the dedication. Please contact me for further information.
