I know what you are talking about. I am 38 and divorced and tried to convince my now ex that things and money are not everything in life. I have two boys, 6 and 8. I can only tell you that God has certainly taken care of us and I am sure he will lead us to a better future. One advice if you love your child: try to control anger towards your former wife and always talk in good terms with her in front of your child. It will not make the pain go away of not having mom and dad together anymore but your child can still freely love the both of you. I know, at least in my part, that was very hard in the beginning since he moved in with somebody else right away. I had a hard time to forgive all the lies. Look beyond today and know God will take care of you even if at times his plan doesn't make sense at all. |

divorce. *It Ain't Easy*. I loved my wife, and we have a 4 year old daughter together so there will always be a tie through her, but I have come to relalize we wanted much different things from life. Dreams: mine were and are a simple homelife, and I do not have a materialistic nature. Hers: *things* and to go out, and date..(I was her 3rd relationship, a child by each, but I thought I could break the pattern..only God could do that, and she had to want it too..and she doesn't..) Guess you can tell this has been, and is, very painful. I have done all I know how to save my marriage, but through prayer and meditation have realized she must not have been my soul mate and God has something else in store for me. It took a lot to get to this point. I would like to make contact with other Christians, and would expecially like to know the *womans* view on these situations. I am affectionate, play the guitar and ride a motorcycle. I am a little over 6', slightly over 200lbs, with dark hair and eyes. Physical looks are not important, just thought I would share a little about myself. I would love to hear from some of you and would especially like to make contact with some Christian women out there my age (32) a little younger or older, who can just share friendship with me at this point. I know I need to get out and meet people, but working ten hour days and being with my daughter on weekends is a little limiting. My continuing dream and what I pray for? A soulmate who is a Christian, non smoker, a complete companion in all ways, who likes simple family things. If she alrady has a child, no problem. She can have her own outside interests, work, etc. I gladly share housework, childcare, and all that goes with a true marriage. I know God answers prayers, so this is my prayer. My flaws? I like to talk, especially about my feelings and beliefs, but I also listen and believe strongly in a lot of verbal communication. I come from a close family, my parents have been married for 34 years (I am 33) and that is the kind of old-fashioned relationship I am looking for. But Friendship, first! Steven |
