Salute. You cannot imagine how pleased I am to find this site. My dad served on the Warbler(62-64) and though it's too late tonight, I'll be calling him in the morning to tell him about this website. I could also could use some assistance if possible. I'm interested in getting a shoulder patch for the white uniform with U S S Warbler on it. I have hunted through the attic and garage and am unable to find a surviving patch here. I was a soldier and don't know the Navy name/designation for these, but as I understand it, it would be a black crescent shaped patch (worn on the shoulder?) with the appropriate ship's name in white lettering. Dad currently participates in an American Legion Honor Guard and has been authorized to wear this patch on his uniform. He wears this uniform while piping (BM) at the funerals of servicemen. He's asked me to help locate one for him to wear, and frankly I have come up short so far.

Hello to all you Warbler crew members! Great website! I've signed the guestbook before, but would like to be on record with a more recent email address. I'm from Puget Sound and served on Albatross from 1967 to 1969. I've put together a website of sorts for Albatross on military.com -- http://albatross.photos.military.com/ If you have time, check it out. Best wishes.

paul, sorry i missed the reunion, really looked forward to it. i was onboard 65/67. after the warbler, i too went to iuwg-1 unit three, but i was at qui-nhon. hated to hear about tapper, best shortstop we had and the "cubbies" never had. noticed in one of mongi's pictures john w kemp iii, on the left with glasses. i was back on board the warbler when she put in to qui-nhon. have only seen larry reynolds since i got out; twice actually. he is still in georgia. say hi to all, i still miss them,
