He had gorgeous yellow eyes and the markings of a catahoula, but his confirmation was that of a wolfs. At about 9 months old he was shot and killed by ignorant people who thought if it looks like a wolf he must be dangerous. This couldn't be farther from the truth and i hope all of you with wolf hybrids keep a close watch out on them. I miss my boy more than ever reading about your dogs, and hope that nothing like this will ever happen to you. |

| Comments: | Hi, I found your website by using the search engine for "wolf hybrid". About 3 months ago I adopted a young dog from our local animal shelter. They said he was a german shepherd. I had a german shepherd several years ago and am pretty well acquainted with their comformation, temperment, etc. I believe this dog to be a mix. I thought perhaps a husky or malamute but something about his legs put me in the mind of wolf. When I saw the picture of your hybrid on your homepage I said to myself "That's him". He looks exactly like your "Wolf". How would I know for sure if he is a hybrid? I hope you had a wonderful New Year and look forward to hearing from you. Thanks! |

Your information was of interest to me. I had a total Knee Replacement in September of 2003. It has been a nightmare. I have very little movement, I can barely bend it and can't straighten it all the way. I am in constant pain and my leg that had the replacement is twice the size of the other leg. It is always warm and painful. They now have me on pain management of methadone (is the only one I can afford), it doesn't help much. They won't agree that it is allergic to the metal. My ankle had metal and they had to take it out. Anyway, your story sort of hit home. |

He shows very ferral tendencies and frequently howls at certain sounds and he is very aggressive at times if you mess with his feet especially. His eyes glow red in the dark but he is basically a very well behaved animal and very protective. I am curious to hear about other non-shepard hybrids. Interesting sight. info on hybribs. I have a hibrid, but don't know much about them. She looks more like a Huskey. But has a lot of traits of a wolf. She has one brown eye and one blue. She is very skittish. I got her when she was 3 months old. She pretty much hung out with her parents running around.I was told that she was the runt of the litter. But she is 5 months and weights about 45 pounds already. She is beautiful. |

hip replacement...and they are doing well today,but your case sounds much different... a knee replacement???i wish you the best and hope that something good will happen soon ...p.s. your site is great,i have a timber/malamute and she is the most social animal i have ever known,she will look out for any child,baby...she loves women and men, shes the best... besides the pure timber who was the best friend that i have ever had i had him put down by my vet...he was with me for almost 13 years...had to have him put down by my vet on october 15 th 1997...boy i miss him.......i am in canada somewhere,i will not tell,for here our government has banned,wolf-dogs...so to keep the one i have safe... |

| Comments: | I really enjoy your website. I had a male WolfDog that I
just lost when a intruder broke in my backyard. Kesh or Wiener as I nicknamed him young, was kicked and it broke his neck. He was paralyzed. We had a lot of vets look at him and one vet he had seen since he was a pup, Dr. Wolf ironticly worked with him for days and it was determined nothing could be done unless I took him to OK city. Instead I brought him home and loved on him for a few hours, cried and then cried some more. By that night he was laboring to breath so I took him too a 24hour vet and held him as they put him down. After telling you this, I feel a little better. Looking around my house at all my wolf memorabilia, I have decided to love again. The only problem is I have no good breeders that I know of in my area. If you have any idea in the TX Panhandle/OK/NM area, please send me an email at radiomiss@hotmail.com. Thank you so much for your delightful and beautiful site. As owners of two hybrids, our children and best friends, we appreciate what you've presented on the web. Besides being artists and sculptors, we are naturalists and lovers of all that is wild, open and free. Perhaps we all can eventually quiet the "bad press" that depicts our beloved wolfdogs as evil. It has always been my firm belief that any being that is mistreated can become evil. Just look at the children killing, beating and raping other children in this country today. Our wolfdogs are the most loyal, loving creatures I have ever had the pleasure to know in my experience on this earth.
