I found the car in new mexico about two years ago sitting in the dessert with the tumble weeds. Picked it up for $400 bucks it had only 45 thousand original miles.........STATS......472cu in , turbo400, power win,seats,ect.I painted,upholsterd diamond-tuck,dipped chrome, custom top weather striping pretty much everything... Three months after finshing I had a Blazer in my trunk... So I chopped the ass off up to the decklid... I would like to turn it into a truck flat bed perferably.... | Comments: | stumbled onto your page looking for info on steve kanuka race engines and i wouls appreciate any information i can get. I just picked up a 74 roadrunner from a auto danation place that seems to have last been registered in lousiana in 1995. It took a new fuel tank and an old holley carb and fuel pump to get it running, after setting and adjustments it runs great and i am now getting ready for the track. It is a nice surprise to see the amount of work that has already been performed from rear to crank. All i have is a steve kanuka race engines sticker on the engine. |

It rides like a dream and when it is working properly (transmission problems) it is surprising. I'm deciding how to go about transplanting an some American muscle under the hood, and transmission. I am trying to find out if anyone out there has done a similiar modification and what engine they used. Any thoughts and comments on this idea will be apreciated and investigated. Thanks Wayne R. |

Nova . Its been a 5 time Hot Rod Magazine Power tour west entry and was actually a longhauler in '99 & 2000 . We drove it to L.A. from Oshawa Ontario Canada . In '99 we broke it in Amarillo and thanks to MajicTune of Amarillo Tx. we completed the trip . This year we made it back and I'll be rebuilding the 454 over the winter months. Kittery in 84-85 while in the shipyards at Portsmouth. I think it's one of the most scenic areas I ever been blessed to live in. Keep it going and sooner or later the whole hot rod thang might come around to cruisin with friends again and swapping and trading for them parts you been needin to get that old wiz-banger running again. It's got to. I plan on hanging with it. Big bucks shop built turn key show cars are supernatural to look at when you can't afford Wal-Mart primer.
