We are descended from Agnes Couperthwaite, daughter of Thomas Couperthwaite and Margaret McQueen. Agnes married James Guthrie and their son, James,was our great grandfather who came to Australia in the 1880's and married Jane Marr McCall . Jane was also from Ayrshire and she came to Australia in 1876. Our Presbyterian minister in Berrigan (a tiny town in South West N.S.W., Aust.) in the early 1960's was Thomas Cowperthwaite and his wife was Beatrice.
