I think the originals were best then they got a little weak repeating them with different colors. I do not like the ones they sell today. It's no wonder a lot of those pets weren't familiar to me, I feel like the line started to fall apart quickly (much like MLP did towards the end of the G1 line) with really gimicky stuff (like those ones with the neon colors and ridiculous hair).
