Shri.V.Pichumani was our HM and for Tamil MSN, for History NRC (!),KSM, o..what a great period. My name is James and I and my family used to live in the wonderful town of Kumbakonam from the year 1969. We used to live in 19, Gandhinagar. I think there is some government office there now. I still retain very personal and wonderful memories of Gandhinagar & Srinagar Colony wher most of my friends used to live and some still live - mention some names like Mohan (chithapa as he is known to most of us old timers / Rajasekar / Jayasuri (Rose Villa)/ VPV Sundhar / Senthil (Rathi Meena Travels) / Ramakrishna Babu - his brother Murali / VPV Venkatesh / VPV Mohan / Periyathambi / and the TSR family relations who used to live opposite B-52 Srinagar Colony,our first home in Kumbakonam etc. and almost everyone who used to live during that period till 1990. Also the famous Pond in the middle of Srinagar Colony (kuttai) as it was called by all of us where we used to assemble every evening and have our part of the fun away from the prying eyes of our strict parents. My father was Dr Theophilus who used to work in the famous Sacred Heart Hospital. He passed away in 2003 at the age of 83. My mother as most of my friends would remember as a very kind lady but strict at the same time passed away in 1990 at the age of 60. Im an ex-student of LFHS. I left the school in 1978. I am searching for my batchmates. If any one has any information about it please contact me. Father Louis was the headmaster at that time and had wonderful teachers like Mr N Sethuraman, Mr. Thirunavukarasu , Mr.Lourdhraj, Mr.Chakrabani , Mr.Michealraj , Mr.Navaneetham, Father Selvaraj for Algebra and Gemetry, Mr Anthonysamy for PT and NCC...Im eagerly waiting to hear from my batchmates.... I Did first year Bsc Chemistry in Govnmt arts College then shifted to Poondi Pushpam College from second year onwards. I am settled in Mumbai. Had close friends Ramki ( still in regular touch), Nagarajan( Was working for Bank of Baroda) but lost touch, Ranganathan ( no touch at all) C.P Chandrasekar( only soul with whom I could discuss Binaca Geethmalika)all from Native High School. I had another friend Padmanabhan from Kumbakonam, with whom I had touch till 1975 when he was working for Controller of Defence Accounts in Poona , studied in Poondi and helped me a lot with studies.
