Comments:I wanted to know if anyone can give me any information about the students and the familys of the victims, like what are they doing now. I am 25 years old and I was the same age as most of the victims when it happen, I went to a school like most high schools and I am sure it was like Columbine. This might sound strange but I can relate to both sides, the victims and killers. In high school I was an out cast most of my freshmen and sophmore year, then as I got older I got a lot more firends and I guess things changed, One of my freinds in high school was murdered one year before Columbine, He was killed for likeing a girl.I am very sorry for all of the victims and their familys, Please send me any info you have.

Thank you Samantha

It shows how God 'prepared' Rachel Scott for her own death and is an amazing tribute to her life written by her parents. God nly knows how they found the strength to write it!

God bless you and be with you

Comments:After seening this tear-jerking web-site I knew I had to write and share my thoughts about the horrible massacre at Columbine. I came home on April 20 1999 after a day in the life of a 16 year old tenth grade High School student. I remember watching the Channel 2 news and seening the horid footage of the shooting in Littleton Colorado. My heart ached for those involved in that tragic event. I will never forget my mother comming home from work and saying 'I love you'', my best friend John called me that night and asked if I heard about the shooting. I said yes and he told me that fifteen were dead and twentee three were injured. i still wonder 'why did this happen, those killed did not need to meet such a tragic fate''.I will never forget those at CHS. My heart goes out to you. God blees you all, I will always think of all of you.

Comments:First of all I want to say that I do think that what Eric and Dylan did was certainly horrible, and none of the victims deserved to die. But mainly I want to say that I am appalled at what some of you so-called Christians have written. About how you know that Eric and Dylan are in hell, and how you are glad that they are. That is just sick. You should all be ashamed. The Christian religion is all about forgiveness and love, and most of you aren't being very forgiving, or loving. And who are you to say that you know where Eric and Dylan are right now? None of you have any right to judge Eric or Dylan, because none of you really know what they were thinking or why they did what they did. NONE of you are God, and therefore NONE of you have the right to judge their souls, and NONE of you know where they are right now. I suggest that you all take out your Bibles and rediscover what this religion is all about. I will leave you with this verse, Romans 2:1:
You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgement on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are comdemning yourself, because you who pass judgement do the same things.

Comments:I'm not saying that this wasn't a tragedy, it most definetly was and there were far to many inocent people killed. But, the one thing that this web site dose not show is why Dillon and Eric did it. I never knew them personally but from everything ive seen and watched and read about that high school and comunity, it's the comunity's and the high school's fault. So I'd be nice to see people like you talk about how to preven this, and don't say, "give your children counsling" because these were not 2 crazy boys, these were 2 teenagers that had it pounded into there head that they were never going to go anywere with there life's. Yes, this was a tragedy, but let's try to put a REAL EFFORT to prevent this crap from hapaning again. Because labeling all of us teenage "outsiders" crazy helps no one. Everyone is to blame.

Comments:I know its been..wow..forever since this happend and it seems that every year you hear of another tragity or another. But i wanted to voice my opinion on all of this..I know how hard it is to get over someone you love and have lost. So i won't tell everyone to just get over it. But i will tell you that it should teach all the parents out there..old and new ones to keep a closer eye on your children..be in their lives don't just let them do whatever they want to be the "cool parents" Look at this young men's parents..how "cool" are they facing charges and the such. I'm no longer in highschool but its scary to think that this could have been me..It could have been my school. I think its no one to blame but all the kids themselves. Admit it..everyone has picked on someone at one time or anyother..and for what reason? the clothes they wear..what they belive in...their names...what they look like...why is any of this important? we live in such a material world any more that i'm not suprized things like this happen. I jush wish that there was a way to make it all stop..make everyone stop "picking on" each other. I have a younger brother..he is 9 now and every day that he is at school i worry..i worry when he isn't in school..he isn't the "coolest kid" out there and i worry about what people say to or about him...that kid knows he is loved and i think that in the end will make him a better person..I'm sorry i ranted and everything but i think this world is so messed up anymore..look around..and tell me what u see...

ne comments are welcome just email and i will email you back..just put "post" in the subject..

Comments:I have read most of the responses here and I am gladdened by some and shocked at others. Let's get things straight here. Eric and Dylan were picked on and the bullies that inflicted cruelty upon them will be judged before God just as Dylan and Eric were. There is one difference, those who bullied Eric and Dylan can repent because they still have time. Eric and Dylan do not for they robbed themselves of the life God intended for them. All of the slain victims of the shooting have been richly rewarded in heaven for they were martyrs for Jesus Christ. Eric and Dylan chose the way of death and will never dwell with God because of the destiny they chose. I admire and respect the victims of the Columbine shootings for they were what I hope to be some day. A martyr for christ. I bless those of you who show your sympathy and respect for the victims. I am deeply dissapointed in those of you who support the ghastly decision Dylan and Eric made that black day in Columbine. Contact me if you want to talk to someone who loves Jesus and would gladly be your friend.

Comments:When this 1 st happened I thought it was horrible thing then I went on with my life. Till today when i came upon this web site I went looking for info on laura townsend because of the movie that just came out, I have read articles and different things people have had to say and i have cried for the past 2 hours. I wasnt picked on in school but I didnt pick on anyone either I was on the varsity basketball team and well known so i dont know what they went to school thinking every day. it was so wrong. I dont think that anything could have been done to them that was as horrible as what they did to others. They destroied so many peoples lives everyone that went to that school is going to be scared for life and the families to the whole school did not pick on them. the kids that go to other schools are affraid to go to school. thats not fair. do you know the pressure of a "popular kid" they have to keep up the grades to stay on the team they have to practice so they are wanted on the team they need to find time to hang out with friends so they aren't considered a nerd they have to have a " cool g/f or b/f. They have to have a front all the time they really cant be themselfs. so much, so if the out casts wanted to have a normal life then dress like everyone else act like everyone else and if you want to be different then make yourself strong enough to be abil to handle being different. Its your choice be normal or not but dont cry when your picked on. melissa
I am sorry if this makes anyone upset just think about it.

Comments:I think that the shooting was a tragedy in every possible way. I understand the boys were being picked on but, if only someone would have listened to their many crys for help. I am not saying I support what they did. There is no excuse for killing all of those innocent people but, everyone died that day and if people would just listen and pay attention all of this could have been prevented. My heart breaks for everyone's families involved and I could not imagine the guilt that Eric and Dylans family should feel for not taking the time to listen or see the warning signs or the teachers reading or viewing lessons of killing jocks by these boys and who stood by and did nothing. A little time and listening and go a long way.

Comments:I'm not sure how many of you people want to hear this but frankly, I'm here to voice my opinion. Granted it was a sad thing that 15 people lost their lives on 4-20-99 but what is even more sad is that the majority of it is your own damn faults. If you think about it this way....if some of you people wouldn't be so narrowminded and have your heads stuck so far up your asses this might not have happened. If you would just get to know people, even if they aren't part of your group you might just learn something from them. Instead of tormenting someone because they are not like you, give them a chance. In the long run it could save your life. Growing up isn't easy but you don't know how far one can be pushed before they snap. Just learn to respect others and treat them how you'd like to be treated and life would be a whole hell of a lot easier on many people. Do any of you ever wonder why some people end up taking their lives? Look at it this way..maybe if you people could find a bit of kindness and stop being so damn blind things might turn out better next time. REMEMBER...things like Columbine can always be prevented. You kids have no one else to blame but yourselves...when judgement day is upon us....may you pay for what you have helped cause.

Comments:AHH!!! i want to slap these people in the chat rooms and on other message boards..you go into "today's news" chat and ask them to pray for the columbine massacre after 5 years, and for the families. "oh that's old sh!t, no one cares about that crap! " ugh. if only you knew how much it hurt to know it happened exactly 5 ago...if only you knew how important it would be for a couple's loved son or daughter to be here today, but they are not, parcially due to poor gun control laws. "Gun control laws are stupid..they don't mean anything. My kid has a gun and he knows how to use it when im around." IF ONLY YOU KNEW.

Five years since I wrote this and still no answers.

THE DEATH OF INNOCENCE

Fourteen more young wasted lives
And one teacher who gave all
And once more the questions
Why, no one heard the call.

Why, two young minds and hearts
Were filled with so much hate
Why, they took it on themselves
To seal, all those others fate.

There is no answer, that makes sense
No way to sort it out
And we should all, ask just what
We, really are about.

Why, the future is no more
For all of those young souls
Why, no more hopes and dreams
No chance to reach their goals.

Why, with all our expertise
And, our technology
Why, we can’t stop the madness
In our "great" (?) society.

There is no answer, that makes sense
No way to sort it out
And we should all, ask just what
We, really are about.

Why, our children can get guns
Make bombs to kill and maim
Why, parents think, "No, not mine!
(Don’t play, that deadly game.)

Why, we say every time
"It shouldn’t happen here!"
Why, we don’t take it serious
And shudder with fear.

There is no answer, that makes sense
No way to sort it out
And we should all, ask just what
We, really are about.

Comments:If there is one question to be asked, it is this. What have we learned? What? What does it take to ask for help? what does it take for someone to listen? Are teachers to busy to listen? What have we learned? What is wrong with you kids today? You think because you want to use guns and shoot up people it's cool? You figure it will end the problem and that no one is going to mess with you? Hell your trouble is just beginning!

So you're pissed off. Okay we all get pissed off, sure you want to hurt someone..But shooting someone because they're a jock or because they're a nerd. or because they're bullied is no damn excuse! LEARN FROM THIS! and REMEMBER the pain, remember the sorrow and the loss! Eighteen dead.
For what?

Talk to each other! Listen. if yall want to solve it go to the friggin gym and Box it out! Beats ruining someone's lives and ruining it as well!

Comments:OH MY GOD, YOU SHOULD BE COMPLETELY ASHAMED OF YOURSELF, HOW DARE YOU LAUGH AT THE VICTIMS, AND THE FAMILY OF THOSE WHO HAVE SUFFERED AND CONTINUE TO SUFFER BECUASE OF THIS ACT OF VIOLENCE. IF YOU WOULD HAVE PAID ATTENTION TO ANY OF THE MEDIA COVERAGE ON THIS TRAGEDY, YOU WOULD HAVE REALIZED THAT ALL THAT WERE KILLED, WERE KILLED RANDOMLY. HOW COULD YOU SAY THEY TARGETED BULLIES WHEN THEY POINTED UNDERNEATH A SCHOOL TABLE AND SHOT AT WHOEVER WAS UNDER THERE. AND IT IS ALSO DOCUMENTED THAT NONE OF THE VICTIMS WERE ON THEIR "HIT LIST". SO MAYBE YOU SHOULD THINK BEFORE YOU RUN YOUR BIG MOUTH OFF, ESPECIALLY WHEN ALL THAT COMES OUT IS SMACK. ITS SICK PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT INFLUENCE SUCH DISCUSTING BEHAVIOR, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. THINK OF HOW YOU WOULD FEEL IF PEOPLE LAUGHED AT THE THOUGHT OF YOUR DEATH??? I HOPE THEY DO, BECAUSE SOMEONE AS HEATLESS AND UNSYMPATHETIC LIKE YOU DOES NOT DESERVE ANY REMOURSE.

I have NO sympathy for the killers, I think they were just messed up to begin with and were cowards.

Comments:Poem for Rachel Joy Scott

You came and you touched us
And we never forgot
The angel from heaven
Named Rachel Joy Scott

Then along came two monsters
And they took you away
They murdered the innocent
And called it NBK day

So now you're with Jesus
And beside him you stand
He reached down from heaven
And you took his hand

He took you to heaven
And your spirit takes flight
Please know in your heart
That we miss you tonight

Our hearts are still hurting
Because you left us behind
Grief has engulfed us
It takes over our minds

You could search the world over
But you still wouldn't find
A spirit like Rachel's
She is ever so kind

You're the highest of angels
Because God gave you your wings
We find comfort in knowing
That you live among kings

You radiate beauty
From deep with inside
Your love is like a blanket
Which can't be denied

You took your faith with you
And what you've been taught
We love and we miss you
Miss Rachel Joy Scott

I wrote this poem for Rachel, and put it on my husbands website. We all miss her, and if you knew her, maybe you would be mad also.
GOD BLESS YOU RACHEL.....WE LOVE YOU, AND WE MISS YOU.

Comments:I think that Eric & Dylan knew exactly what they were doing at the time that they did it. They planned it out, thought about it, and called it NBK day. So they were picked on...Is that an excuse to take the lives of innocent children? Somehow I really don't think so.
Do you think God will forgive them? I highly doubt that too.
These boys...For whatever reason, had a chip on their shoulder a mile wide, and they took it upon themselves to deal out (their version) of justice. Was it really justice??? Or revenge?
I think that those of you that defend these two murderers need to rethink the decisions you make in life. For if you don't whats to say that you won't end up the same way they did....With a bullet through your heads.
Some of the children whos lives Eric & Dylan took that day had nothing to do with being picked on. They simply got in their way. If you ask me this act of viloence is blasphemy.
A direct insult to God. My heart goes out to the parents of those children. I wish I could undo the evil that these two monsters have done. I would give my heart to take the pain from yours. I would go crazy if it had been my little girl taken from this Earth by the likes of these two evil beings.
But these are just words, and words are not enough to make the hurt go away. GOD KNOWS I WISH IT WERE!
To all the parents affected by this sensless tragety: You are in my prayers. May God be with you.

Comments:Lisa's Poem for Rachel Joy Scott
You came and you touched us
And we never forgot
The angel from heaven
Named Rachel Joy Scott
Then along came two monsters
And they took you away
They murdered the innocent
And called it NBK day

So now you're with Jesus
And beside him you stand
He reached down from heaven
And you took his hand

He took you to heaven
Where your spirit takes flight
And know in your heart
That we miss you tonight

Our hearts are still hurting
Because you left us behind
Grief has engulfed us
It takes over our minds

You could search the world over
But you still wouldn't find
A spirit like Rachel's
She is ever so kind

You're the highest of angels
Because God gave you your wings
We find comfort in knowing
That you live among kings

You radiate beauty
From deep with inside
Your love is like a blanket
Which can't be denied

You took your faith with you
And what you've been taught
We love and we miss you

This was a beautiful girl with a life ahead of her full of mystery, and magic. Eric & Dylan took her from this world....But you know what? She is with Jesus, she is an angel, and Eric & Dylan......They are burning in HELL. Which is exactly where they deserve to be. My prayers go out to the parents of all those children who were killed by Eric & Dylan.....My prayers also go out to the parents of Eric & Dylan....Not only do they have to live with the loss of their sons, but they have to live with the guilt of what their two sons did. To all of you: You are in my heart and my prayers. Not only God works in mysterious ways.....So does Satan. Good VS. Evil
Good will always prevail in the end.
I have my spot picked out in heaven..... Do you?

Not only is it in my opinion, unconstitutional, but it is an infrigement on the rights of human beings. THese tapes are seen as obscene by many oncluding my self.. I just hope that is situation can be resolved. I am not a resident near the colombine high school, but i would empathy and hope and love for all of the families and victims, and friends.

Comments:I have read and re-read many articles, web pages and such on this school shooting. I am the mother of 3 daughters. The oldest is 9. I have tried to install in my daughters that everyone is different and special for that reason. I refuse to tolerate any kind of "picking" or "bullying" from them. I also see the effects that other children (who are not taught these things or they are not enforced) have on my children. I refuse to believe that Dylan and Eric did this horrible act "for no good reason". No parents or other kids that were there have any clue why they did this ! BULLSHIT! These two kids, in my opinion, were picked on and belittled by the "cool kids" and made to feel like they were nothing. No child will admit to their parents that they were doing something wrong. So of course these football players, cheerleaders, basketball players & brainiacs were acting completely innocent. They, in my opinion, were 50% responsible for the massacre. They pushed these two kids into feeling like their lives were worth nothing and that no one cared about them. Don't get me wrong, their parents play another key role in this massacre. Where were they ? Why weren't they more active in their son's lives ? Why weren't they fighting to help their sons while there was still time ? In my opinion, there are 4 groups of people to blame for this....high school "hot shots" who are allowed to run the dam school and are never put in their place as students and children. The teachers, who feel they are too under paid and under staffed, to help the children who actually need their help( they are too busy helping the "gifted" students to make themselves look better). The parents...and I do not mean just Eric and Dylan's, I mean every parent in that school. Why were they not teaching their children to no judge someone by the way they look or act. Why were these "hot shots" told that they were better then Dylan and Eric ? Because they were more creative, could play football or knew Ernest Hemingway's first publication date. Why didn't one parent reach out to these kids to try and help them ? They were all too busy with their own kids to bother with someone else's. And last but not least...the student's at Columbine who never once had a kind word for these two. The student's who thought that they were better then everyone else. The student's that, whether they admit it or not, picked on these two for X amount of years and belittled them till they felt that their lives meant nothing to anyone, even themselves. The students who saw the problems and turned a blind eye because they didn't want to cross the "hot hots" and risk being picked on too. Now this is all my opinion. Like it or not, hopefully it makes you think. Next time you hear your 6yr old say "They are weird and I don't like them" maybe you'll correct them and stop the circle. Maybe, just maybe.

Comments:I am extremely shocked after reading some of the results on this page. I am praying that majority of you are young and do not know any better. I stumbled upon this website while doing a paper for school. Letting people express they're feelings is a great thing! Evidently, some are a lot less intelligent that others. First of all, I read something a guy had written that directs you to a website to buy guns, etc... Were you raised with any manners? That could have been your family(or do you care?).#2- Regardless if these boys are in heaven or hell- they were God's children. I am not God so I can not say. Although, being "sick" doesn't constitute murdering someone. Even popular kids get picked on to some degree. Besides, who cares about high school anyway?! Nobody will care in 5 years-trust me. And for those of you who lived through it, LEARN from it. Live everyday as if it's your last! I would be more than happy to be there for you,if needed. God Bless!

I have been bullied all of my life and it stopped because I walked away from my fears of bullies. Like I said before I am sorry for the loss of your loved ones and the kids friends that went to that school

Comments:I would first like to say that the Columbine shooting was a sad and tragic event that I almost wish didn't happen, I say almost cause if it wasn't for that event I'm sure that someone else would have done it and killed more innocent people than Eric and Dylan did. Once before Columbine I was a Chatfield Senior High School student who was picked on and harassed to the point of wanting to end it all and taking out all of those who had picked on me and tried to destroy me emotionally and physically only for their amusement, but after the Columbine incident most of the people soon realized that they could not continue treating people they way that they did. But still there are people out there who are still bullied and harassed and I pray that they don't follow the same path Eric and Dylan did.

Comments:Why do all of you seem to think that Eric and Dylan are the most evil murderers who ever walked the planet??? Columbine isn't the only mass murder, you know. What about the terrorist attacks, or the Oklahoma bombing, or those other school shootings, or Pearl Harbor, oh and we can't forget Hitler. Eric and Dylan only killed thirteen people, which is a small number compared to a lot of mass murders. And it's not like they tortured their victims or anything. Do you think the way they killed people, with guns (which is the quickest, least painful way to be murdered) is worse than all the rape-torture deaths? Have any of you ever heard of the murder of Colleen Slemmer? She was beaten, sliced up, and had her head bashed in all because her murderer (Christa Pike) thought Colleen liked her boyfriend. Or have any of you heard of Adrianne Jones and her murder? She was killed by her friend (her FRIEND, people)and his girlfriend all because the guy told his girlfriend that Adrianne slept with him (she didn't). One boy was murdered by a group of guys, who didn't even know him, just because he was black. They cut open his lip and put a some kind of bomb in it so it would blow up his face, and then they hung him. A 14-year-old was raped by two of her friends, who then cut off her head. And I'm sure you've all heard of Charles Manson and Jack The Ripper. So, before you start believing that Eric and Dylan are the most evil people to ever walk the face of face of the earth, think about what other people have done. What Eric and Dylan did doesn't even come close to a lot of murders, and at least they had reasons. What they did was wrong, but they had mental problems and were treated like crap for such a long time. Anyways, my point is, the Columbine students are not the only people who have been murdered. Eric and Dylan are not the only people who have commited murder. What they did doesn't even compare to the way a lot of other people have been murdered. And a lot of people don't think about the fact that, while they had enough ammunition to wipe out every single person in the liabrary, they only killed ten. Just be glad they let the others live! Stop acting like they are the only ones who have ever commited murder! Worse murders have happened!!!!!

Comments:Some of the stuff people have written in here makes me sick. Like the people who say that they hate Eric and Dylan and that they hope they're in hell, and then they talk about how they are such good Christians and "God Bless" and all that. If you honestly wish another human being to hell than how can call yourself a Christian? If you call Eric and Dylan evil and then wish them to hell, then you are just as sick as you think they are. You're even more sick because you are mentally stable and should know better. We all know that Eric Harris had mental problems, and you can't expect someone who isn't in their right mind to make right decisions. It is terrible that anyone had to die, but we all know that it could have been prevented. Eric and Dylan made a video about killing jocks for one of their classes, and the teacher did nothing. They wrote stories about killing people, and the teachers did nothing. One of their friend's parents printed out stuff from Eric's website (where he said he was gonna blow up the school) and gave it to the police, who read it but did nothing. They told people they were gonna blow up the school, and those people did nothing to stop them. Everyone knew. No one did anything. I know that everyone gets mad and says stuff like, "I'm gonna kill them," or "I wish they would die" when they dont mean it. But Eric and Dylan said over and over and over that they were gonna blow up the school, and still nothing was done. What kind of people are running Columbine, that they would knowingly allow this to happen?
Another thing, some poeple have said that the fact that Eric and Dylan were "picked on" is no excuse because everyone is picked on "at one time or another". Well, for Eric and Dylan, it wasn't "one time or another". It was all the time. And not everyone is treated the way they were treated. Yes, it is true that everyone gets their feelings hurt by their classmates. There is no perfect school. If you go to school, it's a sure thing that you will at times be made fun of. It happens to everyone. Someone will say somthing about your clothes, your hair, the way you act, how you look, whatever. But not everyone has that happen to them every single day. And how Eric and Dylan were treated is much worse. I know Dylan was made fun of, but Eric was made fun of all the time, he was beat up, people would throw rocks and glass at him, and I've even heard that people burned him with cigerettes (I don't know if that last one is true). So you are wrong, not everyone is treated like that. I have been made fun of, but I've never been put through the physical and mental pain that Eric was put through. No one would help him, so he lost it and took matters into his own hands. It makes perfect sense. What they did wasn't right, but like I said, you can't expect people who aren't in their right minds to make right decisions. I hate that anyone had to die that day, but it very easily could have been prevented, and we all know it. Rest in peace Cassie, Eric, Dylan, and everyone else who was killed that day! I will never forget any of you!... sorry for taking up so much space.

Dylan and Eric were picked on...so was I...so was almost every other person at some point in their lives...how is that an excuse?? We are responsible for our own actions and I feel absolutely NO sympathy for Dylan or Eric. They were crazy murderers who blamed kids at their school for their mental illnesses, and uncalled for behavior. I pray that the comments in this book are not as common as they appear because if they are...I fear for my generation.

I read the book at Cassie Bernall and I cried all the way thru it. I read it and said thats what I want to be. Every since I read it I looked at life completely different. I want to live for God, even if I get made fun about it. I want to say a thank you to Cassie's parents for sharing their daughter's life with the whole world, you have changed my life forever, and for that I want to Thank you. Comments: I heard about the Colombine incident and i thought it was horrible but to tell the truth I was not affected by it much. The only thing I did was to cut down on what little insulting I had previously done. I'm not a popular kid, I know both sides because sometimes I am bullied and I do bully every now and then but not to an excess. I don't think bullying is good in any way but sometimes i can't help it and when I'm bullied i never think of killing but i do think of kicking the crap out of the individual so I will be left alone. In no way do I agree with killing people I think it's wrong no matter the reason becuase humans do not have the right to play god. Anyone who supports the two murderers should be ashamed of themselves and spend some time to look at who they really are and what their life is like becuase you are horribly mistaken. I could say cruel things about you for your oppinion but i won't because i respect your oppinion even though I know in my heart you are wrong. My deepest regrets go to everyone who has lost someone in this tragedy but there is a lesson to be learned. We should treat others with more respect and especially the one's we dislike, we may not like them butit is the right thing to. You may enjoy making fun of someone now but when they have a gun pointed at your head, you'll realize what you should have done. I know i've jumped around in this letter but my general statement is that no one deserves to die and no one deserves to be bullied. So do let these students deaths be in vain; respect your fellow man and follow the golden rule for it will lead you to the gates of heaven. Thank you for reading.

Comments:When I went to school, I also was extremely 'out,' and bullied because I looked different. I didn't even fit in with the outsider cliques. I was hit, pushed, called names, made fun of in class -- you name it, it happened to me. Somehow I got through it, but it was really painful, and I wouldn't wish the experience on anyone. However, I don't think it is fair to intimate that Isiah and Rachel bullied people. If you read anything in depth about Columbine, I think you will agree. Isiah was an undersize, heart-patient African-American (one of the very few there) who seemed shy and not at all agressive. Rachel was a devout Christian who, in fact, tried to reach out to Eric and Dylan and was rebuffed by them for her Christianity. It is evident she didn't care about being popular; that she tried to reach out to all the outcasts in the school, and was dropped and rejected by all her own friends for doing so. I highly recommend "Rachel's Tears," a book about her and the Columbine shootings. I DO think bullying needs to be stopped in schools; I DO think athletes shouldn't be glorified and allowed to run amok in the hallways; and I DO think school administrators need to stop being politicians, and get in there and see what's really going on with their students and schools.

Comments:as i read through the comments posted by other users some of them grabbed my attention. all the people out there offering prayers, and hope. i guess its all we can do in the face of a monster like this, the monster of our times. there were one or two entries that particularly drew my attention. one by some imaginative person named 'fuck you' "Although it is over a year since the tradgedy, my heart
still goes out to Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris. Those poor
students suffered bullying at the hands of those jock
bastards and cum guzzling cheer-leaders simply because they
didn't take steroids, rape innocent girls and play
football. Why create a memorial to bullies? Why elevate
them to a state of martyrdom for their sins. If people are
repressed for too long, they'll strike out and attack the
cause of that problem. These people deserved to die for the
bullying they inflicted and hopefully it will happen again,
in schools and colleges throughout the world and teach the
"Beautiful people" a lesson they really need to learn. You
are all fucking wankers and all the bullshit loving cunts
that died have gone straight to hell where they belong.
Your all Cunts and hopefully, you'll die too." to talk about eric and dylan as though they were victims, it makes me think that jamie sees himself as a victim too, his language betrays his obvious sympathy for eric and dylan, somthing which could indicate his role as a victim. and no one wants to be the victim, dont they? everyone wants to be the agressor, the fucker, not the fucked. if people are repressed for too long, yes they will strike out, and usually at the wrong targets (can anyone think of an example?) but in doing that, in trying to seek revenge against these people who eric and dylan felt were the cause of all their suffering and anguish, they simply made a more pronounced victim of every teen in america (and quite a number of other countries) who dresses in black, listens to NIN, MM, Dimi Borgis, e.t.c. After columbine, anyone who fitted the profile became suspect, not just of the students, of the administration. so now on top of being the nerds and freaks, the hated and bullied, they are the feared. and no one likes being afraid, because that is a victim stance, and people dont want to be a victim, they want to be the agressor. teachers and students fear them now, but they dont respect them. dylan and eric (not that i am of the opinion that they cared, from the impression i get from their writings they seemed decidedly selfish and immature, hell, maybe thats why they got picked on) have done a greater dis service to their freaky bretheren than they could ever know. as have usama and al kiada to the people of afganistan. U.S. foreign policy created the situation whereby the people who hijacked those planes felt it necessary to do so. but the people in the towers or the pentagon were as responsible for U.S. foreign policy as isiah or rachel were for the bullying. hate always has and always will lead to more hate. so i choose to stop hating. i dont hate dylan and eric, although sometimes i feel like i should, i just pity them and their stupidity, they thought that they would change the world, get nerds respect. they did change the world, in that they created a new monster, the school yard shooter. and now people like myself and 'fuck you' have to live with that.

Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold might have been picked on.....but who isn't....but these boys were driven by evil. They had evil in their hearts. Also, some of the people that they targeted never picked on them. One of them in particular, Rachel Scott actually was actually witnessing them weeks before the tragedy. But, everyone says that these guys were picked on.....but....they chose to target Christians!!! It was pure Good vs Evil. And because of this event.....good has prevailed. Thousands of young people and adults have given their hearts to the Lord. Thousands!! The faith of Rachel Scott and others will not be in vain.

wonder if you really feel this way, that the victims killed
deserved to die, or if your just writing things like this

kill people.

As i sit here and read this it occurs to me that this person does not support the marketing of anything "bad." Kurt Cobain's suicide/murder was a bad incident and the label is still making money off of him. Anybody has the right to market whatever they want too. It's America! I personally (yes I'm aware you're going to think I'm mentally sick) thought the bumper sticker was funny. Take the bumper sticker into a reminder instead of taking it so offensivly. If you have kids tell them to be nice to others or this same experience could happen to them. And every one says yeah right. I'll be flat out honest with you, when i was in high school have the school thought I was going to go crazy like that...anyways
Who cares if someone is trying to make a buck or two...let them!

Now I figure I'm going make someone mad here just because i don't blame the boys for doing what they did. I'm not saying I support there actions, but i understand. Until you have been picked on for every day non stop don't be mad at them. Yes, maybe they didn't choose the best way to get their "revenge," but hearing cutdown remarks everyday for so long, it WILL start to get to you. I KNOW! But I honestly don't believe Columbine was a "tragedy." It's a wake up call to middle-america saying WAKE UP LIFE ISN'T AS PERFECT AS YOU THOUGHT! Life sux! There are serious problems going on in this country. Teenagers have many problems.
Oh and a quick side mark music is NOT TO BLAME! So get off it's case!
To the families: Once again I am sorry about what happened, but if you choose to be mad at the boys be just as mad at your own children because they could have been apart of the mocking that was happening to the boys....

My school had many replicated death threats, just like what happened at Columbine and it is scary. Sometimes I am so scared to go to school 'cause I dunno if what happened at Columbine will happen at my school. You never know! Ppl make me sick sometimes, especially Dylan and Eric, they obviously had some major issues, but why take them out on innocent kids. I had to study Columbine as a part of my english essay and the key point that I learned is that the evil that lurks within mankind will inevitably always prevail through the hearts of innocent. Losing someone you are close too is a remorseful event and I learnt that last year when I lost my best friend 'cause her mother ex-bf murdered and raped her simply because the mother called the relationship quits. This type of thing gets me really mad! I think that by making other ppl aware of their surroundings we can try to prevent other mascares like this one.

What happened at your town on April 20, 1999 was perfectly
preventable, and all 15 dead would all be alive if the
fellow students had treated Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold
with diginity and respect. Let this massacre teach parents,
students, schools and politicans that harasment and bullying
should not be tolerated at all in any school. We can only
prevent another Columbine by preventing students from getting harrased and bullied!

Comments:I visited your website, and was wondering if you could please help me get a message out.

I saw something horrible for auction on the ebay website. It was a bumper sticker that says "The Trench Coat Mafia Shot Your Honor Student." Here is the link to this repulsive bumper sticker:
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1000339989

I have emailed ebay and asked the item be removed, as have several other people. Please pass this email along and ask that others do the same, preferably requesting the sellers priviledges be revoked.

I think it is awful that some sick individual would try to make a dollar off the fact that several children lost their lives. Nobody has the right to profit off the death of those involved in that tragedy, much less market something so specific as to promote future incidents.

Thank you for your help.

one) going around my highschool that this friday (Friday
April 20, 2001), something terrible is going to go down. I
never got to hear exactly what was going to happen,
something about a hit list, but after that I just didn't
want to listen anymore. All people are talking about is
what happened in Littleton, so I had to find out for
myself. After reading through various news articles, and
memorial webpages, I can not believe that such a thing went
down! It was terrible! Of course, I can not have as much
sorrow and grief as the people that were there, but I truly
am so sorry that such a terrible thing happened in this

so so sorry...I just hope that nothing like that will ever

thirteen beautiful lives before they even really had begun

want to even try to forgive they just do not care, which I

disrespectful to those who died for no reason. The two
murders do not deserve our simpathy. I understand that it
can be rough being different and not being accepted in high

feelings and you don't see them going on a shoting rampage
in their schools. I am dong research for a paper and I
could not beleive this when I came across it, I had to take
time out of my busy college schedule to respond... I feel
horrible for the families of ALL the children that died
that day, even the two murders families, but in no way do I
feel bad for the two children that actually committed these
horrid acts of violence. They might have had some issues
with certain people but that is life, and you have to learn
to live and deal with people you dont care for everyday.
Going and killing them all is not an appropreate way of
dealing with anger. Again all the families have my simpathy
and to the person who called themself "fuck you" I hope you
dont follow the lead of the two Columbine boys. You should
